I'm officialy over S4. I obviously haven't had a chance to play online much with PSN being down for 23 of the 30 days or so it has been out, but I'm just not into it. I played all the previous SOCOM's yet still came in knowing exactly what I was getting since I played the beta. It has a lot of potential but the lack of communication from Zipper is ridiculous and inexcusable, which was the tipping point for me. I had a guy on the socom forum tell me it was because "_____ is on vacation". If they only have one person capable of conveying information in a meaningful way, that says a lot about how the team is structured (not to mention, who takes a vacation after you release a game in which all of the customers criticize?). No party system for 2 months also kills it.
I agree 100%. After Confrontation, for Zipper to do nearly the exact same thing is bullshit. And the fact that Roper and Dunham wont tell us anything makes it worse.
That doesn't sound good -- especially the part about needing a drink. A friend tried to talk me into keeping it saying, "You know you'll want to play it sometime.", to which I replied "I'll get it in 3+ months when they patch everything up and I can find it for $30-$40." Plus, I already have the pro dlc

.
The one thing that was fun was the clan matches, but that is only because that is the closest thing to a party system. I don't see why they can't just take the same thing, rename it the party lobby and make it so that it automatically matches you up with groups equaling 8v8 or 16v16, but I guess that would be too simple.
Just as a note, I'm not trying to troll up this topic, I'm just frustrated with how it turned out.
Thats a good point. However its probably hard to do with 33 less workers! Haha lol
The drink part is what caught my eye too. Roper essentially admitted defeat with that sentence.
Please come in here and complain as often as you like. It makes me feel like someone else besides me cares that Zipper totally ruined Socom.
Got my copy today.
One thing I noticed, has there always been so much clutter on the screen in SOCOM? I didn't stick with Confrontation very long, but I don't remember this much. All the clutter plus the camera make it a very unpleasant experience.
Edit: Maybe it was just because I jumped into quick play and was in a respawn game. Classic mode much easier on the eyes.
Good playing with ya for a little while there. Classic still has too much going on the HUD. Between that and the camera this game gives me headaches. I got booted off PSN and I couldn't get back on last night.
Collision is a horrible horrible map again directly ripped from COD style. Its a joke.
Im gonna go through the last like 5 pages and look for who needs an invite that we didnt already get
