CAGFC (UFC 2009 League) - HW's Only! New Site! Details Inside!

The following fights have not been completed:

Renato Sobral vs. Faazil
Jay Gillums vs. Matt Domoracki

These other fights have not been completed, but I know DarkTower and Regian have discussed theirs. I'm guessing Michael Klein is having the same problem that Vulcan has connecting with John Routier:

Brandon Craig vs. Shaun Parent
Jason Miller vs. John Routier
Michael Klein vs. John Routier

Good job getting 10 of 15 fights in so far, guys. Hopefully, the connection issues with Routier can be sorted out, and those fights can be completed. Everyone else, get on it! It is Thursday already.
Renato Sobral please PM me asap. I need a heads up so i can know when your available.
Did you PM him? I'm assuming so, but if not, you probably should.
Is there a reason why ReiTuoRNhoJ and myself can't get into each others matches? We have tried numerous times and once we get the invite it says the game is no longer there. We have tried this so many times that it's starting to get annoying really. My routers settings are pretty much all open and everything.
Did one of you get the game from Gamestop and the other didn't? Make sure whomever is hosting has DLC set to off. I had the same thing happen with some other matches and if you have DLC set to on and another person doesn't have the DLC, then it won't let you connect.
I just finished career mode tonight, final ranking is 87.

I think the only requirement for the Hall of Fame achievement is getting 100K rep. I was 29-6 with all wins being KO's, and didn't get the grappling trophy or a submission of the night. I did have two separate 10-win streaks (including a 16-win streak once I won the title and retired with it.)

I was told you had to have submission and decision wins in addition to KO wins but that seems to be false.
I think you have to get the tapout achievement which happened around 80k for me, never made it to 100k when i got it but made the hof. So i think thats all it takes.

Well, I'm back guys! But I came home to find out my fucking router is messed up (connecting a PC directly to my modem works...but no WAN through the router). I'll probably be making a trip to Wal-Mart in the morning to buy a temp until my desired model shows up from Amazon. But I'm going to do my best to get everything updated and get the next card up tomorrow.

Along those lines, some of you guys need to remember that the deadline for the fights is Thursday night at 11:59 PM EDT (ie. right now). I saw that a CAGFC4 fight got finished late, and that Darktower and Regian are having trouble getting their fight set up. Since my schedule has been as chaotic as anybody's this week, I'm going to let those slide, but from CAGFC6 on, a deadline is a deadline.

It might seem like a nitpicky thing, but it messes up rankings, matchups, and frankly, it just makes my job harder. In the future, lets try to be a little more proactive in getting these fights scheduled. That's all for now guys. Keep an eye on the thread in the next 24 hours for more updates!

Brandon Craig l Shaun Parent l Submission (Triangle Choke) l ?:?? of Round 2

Damn. It was all me in the first round. Took him down and had him on the edge of getting knocked out via full mount punches. Second round came, got him down, he caught me in the choke and got the win.

Unlike the first one, I let this one slip away from me. Got too ahead of myself and a bit too excited. Got a little careless with my timing and paid the price.

Good fight, DarkTower. You know I'm going to want a rematch down the line, right bro? :D

Nate, I tried (though not as hard as you would have) to encourage people to get their fights done. It's just that we're the sheep, and we're lost without you, our shepherd. Oh, and Gary is the sheep fucker.

I thought for sure you had me when you got full mount. As for a rematch down the line, I have no problem with that.

I am finally figuring out the best ways to work the rubber guard so submissions have become a lot easier than before.

The rubber guard is awesome, except when Nate stays in your triangle choke for 2 minutes, escapes, and then beats you in the next round. ;)

I've started using the right stick to escape submissions against guys whose sub offense is lower than my sub defense. I had been mashing the buttons since my middleweight has a high strength ratings and I'm good at pressing buttons quickly, but it seems that this stick thing might be the way to go- depending on the situation, anyway.

I haven't played a whole lot this week, so I guess my new heavyweight will have to wait till CAGFC 7. Maybe the card can be held in his native Sweden, or more realistically, his new residency of Montreal.

If it is Montreal, Gary Russell is gonna be the biggest dick ever. It will be another Canadian Screw Job. lol

All right, getting back on track here. Got a new router from Wal-Mart and I'm back up and running. Results from CAGFC5: JAPAN have been posted and rankings have been updated! The card for CAGFC6 will be posted soon! :)

Japan News Today - July 3, 2009

After Gary Russell's title fight, He and Jason Miller went out to celebrate getting his Heavyweight title back. Russell said "It was a great sensation, getting what was rightfully mine back. But supposedly I hear we are heading to Canada next? Who knows. If it is Canada, I will be one of the most disrespectful Ass holes there only cause the last time I was in Canada fighting for the small leagues, I got no respect at all. They can take there country and shove it up..." Jason Miller then proceeded to interrupt before Russell said anymuch more "It's a shame my partner couldn't meet up with me. It would have been an awesome match, but hey I'm Mayhem! Who wants a piece of the Mayhem Monkey? Nobody cause they know I will go Ape shit on them! I look forward to traveling all over with my buddy Russell and training non stop for our fights." Afterwards, they were seen going into a Strip Club and not coming out till 5 in the morning. "What great role models for the kids" a passer by said. Stay tuned for more news from all over the world with the R-M WMAA fan club. That of course stands for the Russell-Miller Wrestling Martial Arts Academy

Can't wait to see the next Card. Seems promising. :D

ill take forefits on both of my cag 5 fights...didnt and dont really have time to get them in...but i should be good for the next card...just been a crazy week

The card for CAGFC6 is now up. After venturing across the globe for CAGFC5, this week's show finds us back in the United States to celebrate our nation's birthday. The July 4th, 2009 show is sure to bring some fireworks, with the main event being a big rematch for the Welterweight championship between Mach Sakurai and Codi Garber.

Undefeated champions Brandon Haines and Andrew Kennel return to put their belts on the line, Gary Russell looks to prolong his second stint with the Heavyweight title, and Eric Ortiz tries to continue his dominance over the Middleweight division. And finally, the card features the highly anticipated Chan vs Young 3! After this night is over, it will be a miracle if the roof is still on the arena!

CAGFC6 fights are due by Thursday, 7/9 at 11:59 PM EDT.

*Jay Gillums has missed his last couple fights (although the first one wasn't his fault), and his CAGFC5 fight is currently outstanding. I just want to make sure he's still interested in participating. If he misses his CAGFC6 fight, he'll be placed on suspension until a greater commitment to CAGFC is demonstrated.

Oh shit, the rubber match with the moo-jizzle! I'm less excited about that now that I have a 4 fight losing streak, LOL.

Alan, I have both social and gaming commitments this weekend that will take up most of my time. Anytime from Monday on is doable.

Hey, I need to take a couple weeks off. Been trying to get the fight in but when I've been on Matt hasn't, and vice versa. My guy sucks anyway, he needs to get on a good steroid program and come back stonger than ever. I'd still like to get this last fight in though, I'll be on a lot all weekend.

Pretty pumped that the dude I'm fighting hasn't won a match yet in the league. Basically no matter what happens, someone is going to get their first win out of this fight. haha
Sounds good. I should be around most the time now that I am unemployed lol. Let me know.
Evenings are generally best for me. If you want to do it Monday night, we can.

Really excited about this fight with Babalou He's been a role model through out my career, I really think this is a big step up for me and could springboard my career to the next level here in the CAGFC. Looking forward to this match up...let the fireworks begin!!!!
I got a lot of Que'n to do so Sunday would be best unless early today.

Yeah, I love that gif, too. The Buffer 180 that I posted, I just found yesterday. The one FowlBeast posted, I have had saved for a long time.
Also, where ya been Nate.
New York. Where have YOU been?
don't forget to post up the results Brandon.

Also, where ya been Nate. Can't wait to fight you. Send me a message on live.
I've been hesitant to see how stable my internet is going to stay. I also haven't touched my 360 in over a week, so I need to get a couple practice fights in to make sure I remember how to play the game, haha. I should be around later tonight though, so we could probably get it in.

I'll be on after 12 ish. Just send me a message.

Damn, I don't know if I'm going to be able to play after midnight Gary. I'm not keeping as late of hours as I used to. I'm trying out this morning thing. Seeing what all the fuss is about.

It's only the on the weekends that I stay up late. But during the week, I'm up at about 10 and on live cause of the wife's new hours.

Gary or Chris Moore, I'll be available to play any time tonight from about 7:30 PM EDT to 11:30 PM EDT. If either of you will be around during that time, just let me know.

The guy I'm scheduled to fight hasn't been on since 6/25 and won't answer pm's. Just wondering whats the deadline for my fight?

The deadline every week is Thursday night at midnight Eastern time. I'm pretty sure you're on central time, so Thursday night at 11 P.M. Central. You're right, though... He hasn't been on CAG in 10 days. Not a good sign.

same here, i think FowlBeast has JDMxB this time. Last time i had JDMxB and he had not contacted me in anyway. He's been offline since 6/25 so... is that a forfeit or what? Just like the guy who lost interest in the league?

Yeah, not being on Live for 10 days is a bit long (unless his system RR'd...in which case I wish he'd tell us). I don't remember seeing anything from him about being out of town, so I hope everything is all right. It always freaks me out when people disappear online. Like I'm going to read online that he went on a killing spree and then offed himself. Creepy :whistle2:|

Jason Miller | Nate Lisa | KO | 3:10 of Rd 3

Las Vegas (AP) - On a day celebrated with fireworks, Nate Lisa's performance resembled that of a sparkler. In their CAGFC6 fight, Lisa was manhandled by Jason Miller for all three rounds, being tossed around the octagon at the will of the world-class wrestler. Despite tiring out his opponent, and attempting multiple triangle chokes, Lisa was never able to lock one in, and Miller escaped, only to rain down more punishment on his bewildered opponent.

Finally, in the third round, after knocking the wind out of his foe with several brutal slams to the canvas, Miller threw one devastating punch that knocked Lisa out cold. After coming to and asking if Santa had come yet, Lisa exited the ring and could be heard muttering to himself "fucking wrestlers!"
He hasn't been on CAG for 10 days. I didn't check Live.
I checked Live. Same day: 6/25. If he flakes on his fights, he'll face the same consequences as anybody else would. I still hope he didn't get hit by a bus though, haha.

Jason Miller | Nate Lisa | KO | 3:10 of Rd 3

Ha, If I spam anything it's the Wrestling moves. :D Still, I know it was a shitty match for you Nate but....good match lol.

Yeah, that's a forfeit for CAGFC5. Sorry for not ruling on that sooner. This is the problem with not enforcing deadlines. I forget what fights don't have results. I'm going to close out the CAGFC5 results completely now. The OP will be updated with the new results and records.

Well, it did feel similar to being someone's bitch in prison, but it's not your fault. I just don't know how to handle it. Definitely a part of my game that needs work. Although, I also think I'm having a shitty day because I went on to lose 3 straight ranked matches after you left. That's after going 5-1 last night. Should have fought you last night I guess, haha.

All right, the OP is now updated with all results from CAGFC5 being finalized.

In CAGFC6 news, Gary Russell was able to successfully defend his Heavyweight title against Brandon Craig. Russell won the fight by TKO at 3:08 of the very first round. For anyone who hasn't noticed, Russell appears to be single-handedly wiping out the competition in the heavyweight division.

Former title holders Blake Garber and Big Black Smurf have retired from competition. And 5, yes, that's right, FIVE fighters are on the shelf due to various injuries. This reduces the number of currently active heavyweight fighters down to 6. With the numbers dwindling, will anyone ever step up to challenge Russell for his belt?
