CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!
Sorry I took both of your guys, DR.
No big deal. I am in a position that I don't really need anything. It was just flaunting my cash. :D

I now have four second round picks. I will be accepting offers for them. I don't know what I want, but offer away!
When does it show the free agency review? And it looks like Tom Brady didn't sign. I think Atlanta was the only team that offered him anything. Any other big guys that didn't sign?
What...Brady didn't sign? Damn, I shoulda offered him what I offered Cutler and see if it works for him. I wonder what the Falcons offered?
lol tom brady didnt sign that should make the first round of FA after the draft pretty interesting
Is it not allowed for me to cut Cutler right after I signed him and wait for Brady? lol

I'm sure the Cowboys will pick him up.
If anyone can afford him.
lol im sure all the guyes that didnt sign revis can afford ;) 223 million bro u really wanted him back bad
Thanks for the unexpected Briggs gift, Jets! Your generosity is much appreciated.
lol im sure all the guyes that didnt sign revis can afford ;) 223 million bro u really wanted him back bad
I did want him back. I fully admit I overpaid a ridiculous amount, but that's possible when you have the cash.

On paper, my defense looks pretty damn good. Now to just see if I can actually beat anyone with them.
Cowboys trade block: (ovr in my scheme some are much higher in 4-3) Players in red are possible to trade for if a GOOD deal comes around.

Witten TE ovr 90ish
Spencer OLB ovr 88ish
Bryant WR ovr 87 (Will only trade him for a excellent deal)
Austin WR ovr 85
Spears DE ovr 83
Scandrick CB ovr 79
Bernadeu RG ovr 74 (better in another scheme)
Livings LG ovr 72 (better in another scheme)
Melton DT ovr 70 (MUCH better in 4-3)
Stoops RB ovr 71
Ballard RB ovr 65
I am also willing to part with draft picks OR TO TRADE BACK

I'm looking for a QB, draft picks, NT, fast LBs, FS, or anything that could upgrade my O-line.
Did someone say bump?
Thank god dark rider didn't get Revis.

I lost Seymour on the d line but added j.j. Watt and Jared Allen. I'll take it.
:D

I saw your improvements. My run game may be significantly more difficult against you. :applause:

I had a bid on Allen, but withdrew it because a) I wanted to make sure I won the Revis sweepstakes, and b) I already have a top DE who gets knocked down a lot (Peppers).

thats a scary combo thats for sure

I have 26 Million in cap space.. If people need to dump some over-priced players b/c they spent too much in FA and may not have enough money to make it to a 53-man roster, PM ME PLEASE :)
I have a 1st, two 3rds, 5th, 6th, and 7th round pick. Also have some cheap backups

Looking for any defensive back (primarily SS but will take any position), WR, TE

I was surprised you took your offer off of Chancellor. I can't believe I didn't have any competition for him.

I kept switching between Chancellor and Revis.. i couldn't make up my mind haha. then I decided to try Brady thru the website today but it wasn't working. I should've just left it alone after the first day

Still willing to give up the #2 pick, but I need Guards, WRs, and CBs. Less so I need a C and a TE. I have plenty of cap space too for anyone hurting in that area.

Also, I'm still somewhat willing to trade back for picks, but I think players are more of my need with all the cap space I have.

Yeah, losing Alex Mack sucked. I wanted to put the franchise tag on him, but I guess I couldn't or I missed the option. Other than losing him though I think I improved my team. I just need to get a few WRs and a CB in the draft or through trades.
Good luck with that. I barked up that tree last year.
What the hell? When have I shown ANY interest in trading Jones?
What the hell? When have I shown ANY interest in trading Jones?
You haven't. That's what I meant. There's little chance of prying him away from you.

Ahhhh okay. Sorry. I just got off work and took that offensively. I was still in prison mode.

All right, so I've heard from all but 3 people for the draft (neworlbush, FrankySox, and Lexxon. Both billymcdugal and staticz can't make any time this weekend, and of course, the Rams are still open. So, we had 26 teams voting.

Sunday at 7PM EST ended up being the most popular time with 20/26 people able to make it. Saturday at 10PM EST finished with 19/26. I'm going to send out another quick round of PMs with those two times and some Monday times just to see if it makes things any better (though, really...it could just complicate things for other people). But since we've got a bit of time to kill, I'm going to at least try to accommodate as many people as possible. But as of now, plan for a Sunday draft.
Computer Rams offered me a 3rd round pick for SS M. Robbins. His rating is low 80's so if anyone can beat it tell me.
I don't think you're alowed to accept that.

It has to go through the committee first.

I like to join in for the Ram slot.

I don't get how the projected round and pick # works in this game. Is it predetermined before the season? The last few weeks I've been scouting some players at positions I need and found what I think are some hidden gems, but their stock doesn't rise.

In NCAA recruiting, players rise up and down depending on your scouting. Makes it easier to see who will be busts or not. Hell, I'm thinking of drafting a projected 3rd rounder with my 7th overall pick based on his stats that I've scouted.

If we end up at the Sunday 7 pm EST draft time all my picks will be available for trade. I have to work until 7:30 EST and don't want to leave it to EA's AI to draft for me. I would probably end up with 7 punters and kickers.

There is no rhyme or reason to it. It is a complete waste of time to even look at the projected draft # imo.

Man, not available until 9:30pm PST? That's going to be brutal on the east coasters. You're welcome to join, but you might have some trouble scheduling your games.

Gotcha. Might take my guy with the 7th pick then just to blow the fake twitters (twitterers?) mind. And also because he has great stats of course.
East coasters? That is going to be brutal for those of us in CST too. I know there is no way I'd ever get a game in with him.
Haha, well yeah.. I was at least trying to give the most extreme examples. I'm CST also, and I'd probably only be able to make that timeframe on Friday or Saturday. Like I said, he's welcome to join, but I could foresee some instances where I might have to allow an opponent to play his CPU.

Oh for sure that is how you should do it. Stats are all that matters, the projections are just there to fill space.

lol ya completely understand. I don't see a lot of east coasters hopping on at 12:30 at night during the week to get a game in. Heck I don't remember the last time I stayed up that late *old man*

Well because it looks like there is a good chance the draft might be on sunday the Cowboys picks are available. I have 5 overall as well as the 6 other rounds.

i know what the guys going thru but i dont think i could play game at 1230 eastern during the week, what would happen then? forced sim or what?

If anybody has a backup TE or HB they'd like to deal for a 4th or 5th round pick, I might be absent from the draft and am looking to shop those picks.

These players are still available for trade.

OT Sam Baker - 88 OVR Zone Block Scheme (83 PBK, 85 RBK, 81 IBK, 88 AWR)

It definitely wouldn't be a forced sim. I've always tried to follow the logic that whoever made the greater effort or had the larger availability deserves to play the CPU in those instances. And it would be tough to make a case that only being available after midnight for the majority of our players is a "reasonable effort". This isn't a knock on the guy, as I 100% understand his situation (wife and kids).

But at that point, it might just be wise to ask your wife's "permission" to play in a Madden league. It's not like this is a game that requires you to be on for hours at a time. Games are at set times and can be scheduled 3-4 days in advance. I generally just let my wife know that I have a game scheduled, and she knows that I'm unavailable to help with my daughter during that one hour time period. As with anything, good communication goes a long way.
