Did he accept this week of advancement or last? You cannot do any of the actions for the week you join. It's possible that the CPU is still in control and sending out ridiculous trade offers.

A 72 OVR RT and a 5th for my early 2nd? Not happening.
Is this the last week of FA? I think cause I just joined in I can't see.

No, he joined before we advanced. The problem is if a team is vacant, the CPU makes all the moves immediately after the advance. He wouldn't have been able to do anything anyway. That was as good as he could do considering he just posted about joining yesterday. He's at least in control of his scouting before the draft.
Nope. He got in before the advance. The last week of free agency was done by the CPU for him. You just flat out called his trade offer stupid, lol. Granted, it's one he shouldn't have been making anyway. I know you guys are division rivals and everything...but that's harsh, dude. ;)
Chiefs are not CPU owned...

The new owner, sicsonic already informed me of an issue between him and the Cowboys. Apparently a trade was proposed through the game and accepted. sicsonic apologized, saying that he's still learning how the league works. But njrockpd should have known better.

NO TRADE PROPOSALS SHOULD BE MADE IN THE GAME UNTIL THEY HAVE BEEN APPROVED IN HERE.

Final warning.
I explained this to him this morning and he told me the trade never went through. I sent him a PM saying that we could not accept trades until the committee decided and I also told him the committee would post "accepted" or "denied" in the forum this morning. I was on this morning and the trade said pending and had not gone through.

Ok. Wow. First of, let me say, sorry. Nothing like this will happen again.

I DID read the rules before I accidentally accepted that trade in-game, I promise. What happened is I was looking at the trade in-game (where you accept it or deny it, don't ask why, idk) and instead of pressing B I pressed A and accepted it. I'm truly sorry about that.

So, now I'm trying to send the exact same trade back, but the weird thing is it never said the trade was accepted in the in-game checklist, ever. When I accepted it, it just disappeared. Now I still have Kaep and the other players I was trading, and DAL still has his players. As if the trade never happened.

Oh, about the Broncos trade, yeah I can accept what he might of thought about that trade. haha I have to remember it's different from sp.

We've seen it and are voting on it

Just wondering, are any trades involving picks that are submitted before 2 PM going to be allowed to be revised if the committee gives a rejection after 2 PM Sunday? Probably would be good to have an official announcement on it so everybody knows one way or the other.

A revision is a new submission...so no. The idea behind setting the deadline that early is to avoid some of the chaos from last season. If anyone is worried about a trade being approved, get it in asap,

that said...here's one last hurrah of the Bucs trade block!

HB Pierre Thomas 83 OVR
WR Maurice Goss 79 OVR
LT Donald Penn 86 OVR
RT Jeremy Trueblood 82 OVR
LE Michael Bennett 78 OVR
LE Daquan Bowers 74 OVR
LOLB Keith Rivers 81 OVR
SS Mark Barron 82 OVR (for the right price)

Anybody interested in HB Michael Bush? He's a good power/goal line back. Also is good to use when you're running clock at the end of the game to close out a win. 82 Overall, 96 Carry, 94 Trucking, 94 Stiff Arm.

I'm also open to moving HB Matt Forte, 93 Overall.

I do have to say though, the 49ers owner is catching the attention of the trade committee, and not in a good way. There were several who felt that you are definitely pushing the grounds of good taste and starting to get carried away with these trades. This league does try to function in a realistic manner, and seeing superstar players flying all over the place left and right starts to leave a bad taste in people's mouths.

If you think this message is unfair, I promise you, the same thing has been said to others (DVO can attest to this). It's not that trading isn't allowed or encouraged...but things should also be done within reason. Some people just take it way too far. It is for these reasons that trading will be greatly restricted in this year's game. Everybody enjoys building their own team, people enjoy realism as well. Most of us try to maintain that balance.

Got it. I'll get back to you in a bit. The trade review PMs have been coming pretty fast and furious. I can only imagine what n8's inbox looks like.

Just a side note the cowboys are making a lot of trades too but it's all to get rid of my picks because I can't make the draft. Sorry to the committee for giving them so much extra work.

Patriots Send

Round 1 Pick 15

22.87 Million Cap Space

Using the http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php value chart:
Lion’s picks total 1020 in terms of value. Patriot’s pick 15 totals 1050 in terms of value. (Thanks to Dark Rider for finding the link, I couldn't find who originally had posted it!)

Lions need a higher pick so they can get ensure getting the impact player they need. Roster wise they are set other than a few cheap backups. Pick number 15 has a first year salary of $1.99 million (had pick 15 last year as well) so it should free up some more cap space as well.

Patriots reasoning: Stockpiling picks is the Bill Belichick thing to do. I’m in. The Patriots are also sitting at only 38 players so this trade will allow them to build depth through the draft to get them to 53 players.
Just an FYI, since madden only allows 3 picks to be sent in one trade and we won't be playing another season we are using the seventh round pick from next year as a place holder so the Lions/Patriots trade can go through. We'll have to trade it back via a trade and cut with someone who has no bonus and a small salary once the regular season starts.

I'm curious how well people drafted last time. I could always just check their rosters and go through every young player trying to find the first round picks, but that seems like it would take awhile. Just wondering if it was listed somewhere.

o i thought it might have had something to do with how to pick teams for the next madden by figuring there winning percentage

No, I just want to know how many of the teams in top 15 or so actually took players worthy of the draft position. Someone is trying to trade me a draft pick and this would give me an idea of who I might be able to get with the pick. I'll edit my above post with the results.

While Jammer is getting up there in age, he's still got pretty serviceable Madden stats (PRS and PRC in particular). And really, both guys the Chargers are getting back bring nothing to the table when you consider this is the final season of the league. Raymond's numbers are barely passable, and despite Robinson's speed, his PRS and PRC will get him eaten alive.
