Seriously... You can't be serious. I use the Chopper Gunner and even I knew it needed to be fixed. Pre-patch, if you got a Chopper Gunner you were going to get nearly 30+ kills in TDM because of how they would spawn. Wasn't everyone in the MW2 thread including yourself yelling balance at one point.
As for matchmaking, I am not sure who all is having problems. You find the person with the best connection and have them as the party leader... Not that hard. For our group, it is usually Woodcan or I. It is very rare that we lose one of the 6 people as long as the party leader has a decent connection.
Hit detection, I think if you have a decent host, you are fine. The only thing early on that was a problem was sniper rifles. Weren't you also the same person who posted the list of all of the guns in MW2 that needed to be fixed because of sights being off.
I just think it is funny because you trashed IW and now you trash Treyarch.
Before I respond, I just wanted to say that I paid attention to how many ghost users there were in about 10 TDM games yesterday. Keep in mind these are all different teams/parties/players as most everyone we play against quits out. Out of the ten matches, 3 were using ghost in 7 of the games, 4 were using it in one game, and 2 were using it when it was 5 of us against 4 on the other team.
The Chopper Gunner/Gunship are 9 and 11 killstreaks, and it has to be with your gun now. No more Predator > Harrier > Chopper Gunner. During launch week, sure maybe you would get 30 kills with it. Same as with MW2. There is one flare and you're out. Ridiculous. Nowhere near overpowered. The spawns pre-patch would actually flip a lot easier and when there are players all over the map you can't take them all out while they're shooting you down. I really don't see how it was overpowered, let alone why it would be dealt with before the matchmaking and hit detection issues.
As for the matchmaking, I am not saying my party members fall out of the game or anything like that. I am saying unless you join a lobby with 5-6 people already in it waiting to play, that it will take 5-10 minutes for it to fill up. After the game starts, if and when people on the opposite team quit out, the game doesn't re-populate. It will be 6 on 1 the whole game or everyone quits out and the match ends 3000-1200 or whatever. Don't even get me started on the fact that the other team can get host and just dashboard out and kill the game. This happens to me way more in this game than it did in MW2. I easily have 100 losses because of this so far. Finding new players after others quit was not a problem in COD4, WaW, or MW2. Keep in mind everyone I play with has an open NAT. I have asked friends who don't play with me if they are having the same problems and the answer is always a resounding yes. It wasn't deemed "Call of Waiting: Lobby Ops" for nothing.
With the hit detection, I don't know what it is. This is easily the most connection dependent COD game yet, but it doesn't make sense because I along with the people I play with never get host let alone good connections to the games. Panda gets like 13 down/8 up, X gets like 38 down/4 up, and I get 30 down/1 up. Any of these connections are sufficient for hosting this game. Shit, I think Panda has gotten 4 bars like one time throughout his whole Black Ops career. I honestly cannot count the number of times I've been shot around a corner in this game. In MW2, I averaged 4 bars in 9 out of 10 games. In Black Ops, I average 3 bars in 9 out of 10 games. Are you guys on slower connections? Maybe that's why you're not experiencing this like we are. Maybe you guys never run into this. It's a big reason why I bitch about the knife so much. It seems like the worse your connection the farther the lunge. I've posted plenty of bullshit lunges in here already, but when I'm a foot from the guy and out of ammo and I go for the knife I just swing the knife in front of his face and he knifes me instead.
MW2 did have its problems, and you can call me a flip flopper all you want. I guess I didn't realize just how good I had it. You yourself said that while the game had "counters" that things did need to be patched. I already said in an earlier post that MW2 was a couple of fixes away from being perfect. This game could be good too, but it's far from it now.
