Many of these games have been listed in the other thread that was started but I'll put up this thread with the entire list. Thanks to maccabee72 for starting that thread. Some are new additions, some are markdowns on previous games. These should qualify for the 25% off sale that starts 7/8 so buy now and keep those receipts for pricematching. Same as last month, if there are new additions throughout the month I'll be adding them.

Here are links to the June and April/May clearance threads as well.

Good thing I got a reasonable employee. Didn't have my receipt and still got the PM! Took a long while, but it was worth the wait. Just try explaining to them what is going on nicely, it usally should work.

It just pissed me off how one place gave me no problems, I didn't even have to ask. Then this yokel treats me like the village idiot. I'm sorry I'm such a cheap ass that I ecpect you to A) honor the friggin ad and B) take the whole two minutes it took the guy at the other store to manually override it. I could almost see him being a douche if I had a huge stack of games, but I had five.

I was wondering. Even though my coupon doesn't show the items as 16.96, I should still get the deal even if i did use a coupon. Right? I mean... I could give it a try but it's always like pulling teeth as most of you have demonstrated with some of these numbskulls.

The price adjustment went without a hitch...sort of. They had to manually adjust the price of each game from $16.96 to $12.72... a refund of $4.24. They mispriced one and gave me only $4.04 back...wasn't going to complain about $0.20 when I received quite a bit of GC credit.

Thanks CAG and Scorch.

No go at my CC. The cashier said that the game had to physically be marked $16.96 (price stickered as) or it wasn't part of the sale. The manager told me that those were the sale prices. Oh well. All the good clearance titles at my CC were bought weeks ago anyway.

I had a good day at the 2 CC's nearby :) First one told me the 16.96 games already had the 25% off, so after asking for a math check and waiting a few minutes the 3 people now helping me couldn't figure out the whole 25% off thing and just took 5.00 off each game so I got avatar and meet the robinsons for 11.96 each :)

Second CC was much easier once i showed their own add they took the 25% off even though all the games had the original stickers on it. :)

I'm pretty sure if the kept up on changing the prices on the games they could actually sell the games before they hit 4 .96 and 8.96.
Did you even make a cursory check for a magazine rack nearby?
I guess you didn't have any GLITTER either....
Did you even make a cursory check for a magazine rack nearby?
I still laugh when I see someone bring this up...

They don't have magazines at my CC but I am sure I will kick over the candy rack some day.

Crap, so I guess no fix has been implemented by "tomorrow evening" as promised by some clerks to CAGs yesterday. fuck - why can't CC ever get these sales right? First they have the 25% off Cool Deals games which is glitched in our favor in that it works on Cool Deals games AND clearance items, and now they have one that doesn't work on anything . Maybe they erred on the side of caution and didn't want it to work on Cool Deals games this time, so they just decided to not have it work at all. They are probably making a ton of money from people who think like their clerks and snap up the $16.96 games thinking they are a wonderful 25% discount from normal prices!

Anyway, I can't wait any longer, I'm going to try my luck price matching receipts tonight. I have 5 different receipts and wanted to spread them out to a few stores just to not be so obvious about the multiple MtR and Avatar (not that they would care most likely). But now I'll probably do the 3 biggest ones tonight just because if I can find a clerk to do it I might as well get it done ASAP. Or maybe I should just do all of them...

I, too, am waiting to price adjust 5 games on 2 different receipts. I'll probably just wait until Friday to see if it gets updated in their computer, otherwise I'll just have to do a manual override with a CSR.

I had no problem with price-matching at mine. I brought up the ad, and my receipts and asked the gal there for a price-adjust. She said it'd take just a few minutes and told me to go ahead and look around. I picked up another pair of avatar and mtr and quake 4, and she adjusted everything down. I joked with her about how corporate were just trying to force them to work more, and she was cool with it all.
To do the price adjustment on previous purchases, do we need the game with us to do it?
no.

I got them to manually adjust, so it shouldnt be a problem.

Went to an "out of the way" CC over the weekend and kinda struck out. I did find Tony Hawk Wasteland 360 for 16 but I went to the TRU next door and got Pheonix Ace Attorney DS for 9.98 so it wasnt a total Bust.

yeah i need to do a price adjust too, i noticed it when the girl rang up my items but oh well, i'm gonna go to a different location closer to me and have them adjust. i think i might just return chocobo tales because i don't think i'll ever get around to playing it. however, i think i'll keep taito legends ($12.96) if i get the adjustment to $9.something

I was denied my $4.24 back for Condemned. The cashier said $16.96 is already 25% off a higher price. Of course if she did the math off the top of her head like she did with her explaination of the deal that would make the game originally $22.61; with 25% off($5.65) it would then come out to $16.96.

But, I never fucking seen a game priced $22.61. This is the first time I've ever had horrible, and stupid, customer service at my nearby CC. Oh and I tried to explain the whole $22.61 thing, didn't fly with her.

UGH what's a good way to explain this deal to the inept Customer Service Reps? Also, can you go to any CC for a pricematch/adjust?

hundreds of titles to choose from | Clearance games marked 4.96, 8.96, 12.96 and 16.96

It says clearly in the ad the regular clearance prices are xx.96, and you get an additional 25% off. I don't understand why these CC employees/managers cannot comprehend basic english.

I picked up a few $16.96 games yesterday and had to spend like 10 minutes trying to convince the cashiers/clerks that there's supposed to be an additional 25% off. Finally they broke out their calculator and manually adjusted the price.

I'm embarassed just by association. I'm sorry (but, unfortunately, not surprised) to hear that so many of you are having problems. Hopefully corporate will make the correction and this will get easier later in the week.

It's all cisco's fault.

EVERYONE. Grab a CC flyer when you walk in the door. The sale is on one of the last pages. As Spooge pointed out it says quite clearly:
hundreds of titles to choose from | Clearance games marked 4.96, 8.96, 12.96 and 16.96

I'm not angry at y'all, I'm angry at Circuit City who apparantly has no clue what they're doing.

The last time that I had CC pricematch a discount and/or clearance, they scanned the receipt bar code, highlighted or selected the product in question, and viola! Reduced price shows up.

This morning, the girl (who was actually very capable for the staff I've seen at Arbor Place CC) had to whip the calculator out and figure out what 75% of 16.96 was. Having a pretty decent grasp on basic math, I told her $12.72. Her calculator agreed, and she had to manually adjust each game off of about four different receipts.

I recall neocisco mentioning CC getting a new POS system soon. Let's hope that helps straighten out the Clearance discount which is being executed absolutely pitifully at the moment.

My CC didnt have any 360 clearence titles last time, hopefully they'll have some for this sale when I go tommorow. And hopefully the 25% will be in the system by then, and if not, I hope there's an ad there to convince them

I did and it still didn't convince this special person that was my cashier.

horrible experience here followed by a good one. i went to the circuit city close to my work after work. i've had good luck there, even with that $20 off coupon for city games (got DiRT for 360 with it). no luck tonight though. they flat out refused to honor their ad. i couldn't even reason with this "customer service manager". it was worse than talking to a brick wall.

it seems they don't update price stickers at this store for some reason. she even tried telling me that they only sell them for the price on the sticker they come with. i was like, "so why is this ringing up ata clearance price then?"

she just couldn't seem to get over that $59.99 sticker shock on DOA Xtreme 2. she finally agreed to give me the 25% off on the X-MEN game (360), but wouldn't budge off the $16.96 price on DOAX2 (though she would gladly sell me it for $16.96). i couldn't understand that stupid logic.

i wound up leaving with only the number for corporate to call and complain about her. i went to my local circuit city next and had no problem getting the adjustments. the guy didn't even look at the ad. he just took my word for it. knabbed:

DOAX2 (360)
DDRU (360)
X-MEN (360)
Avatar (Wii)

just one copy of each. if any CAGs want me to try and get any games for them for cost + shipping (usually ~$3 w/ DC), PM me. i'm going back tomorrow to see if they have THAW, which i somehow overlooked this time around.

Most definitely - because he doesn't clone himself and work at every CC ;).

I had the same experience tonight. I presented the receipts, flipped to the page of the ad and showed her the "$16.96" original price portion. She then silently adjusted everything, no problem - it was very nice. And as a bonus, she adjusted stuff on my receipt that wasn't $16.96, including 2 games that I had gotten cheaper originally with a PM to the Best Buy GamePro coupon . So I got 25% off my $11.96 Chocobo Tales and also off a $4.99 Bust-A-Move. I wish I had brought in my lesser receipts where I only have one $16.96 thing but a couple of $11.96/$9.99/$4.99 things on them! I had them in the car and could have gotten them but I was with 2 of the kids and they wanted Icee's at Target and we had to hurry...

I'll try to get the rest done Wednesday, but will be going to a different store so I'll be testing my luck with that. At least I did 75% of them already - just a few singles on 2 or 3 receipts left (but, like I said, had I known she would reduce everything I would have done those tonight as they each have 2-3 non-clearance or previously PM'd games on them).

To top it all off I found another Meet The Robinsons (and convinced the regular cashier to apply the discount at purchase, also with minimal fuss). This store was wierd - they had Happy Feet tagged $16.96 (with several copies just sitting there getting no love - my kids wanted it but I've read the reviews and they have way better games to play ;)), but not MtR. They had The Outfit tagged $16.96 but not Lego Bionicles.

I may actually keep a MtR, it sounds like a decent if not stellar movie-game. Thing is, we haven't even seen the movie...

I also feel bad for some of you guys that are having trouble. I wish someone that is high ranked in circuit city reads this thread. CC should not be giving so many people problems. What is there deal? They have their PM signs all over. Are these people really this dumb and clueless?

CC in general is such a mess. Websites to employees...I just can't see them being around for much longer which could really suck because BBs would have no competition.

GET IT TOGETHER, CC!
Most definitely - because he doesn't clone himself and work at every CC ;).
Oh mah gosh, if only.

Good gosh. So how much did CC pay you to buy those games when all is said and done?

Honestly, you guys get me all interested in this PMing from one store to another. Some CAG had a way to get a Zune for uder $200 a couple weeks back, but I still don't get it. Anytime I ask a store about PMing another stores' ads, they either deny the request or match it dollar for dollar. Granted, I've only ever asked about piddly amount items. And cars. I'm great at getting dealerships to beat other dealerships. A $12 dvd however, is another matter.

and could have gotten them but I was with 2 of the kids and they wanted Icee's at Target and we had to hurry...
*chuckles* Something about that is very cute. But sugary drinks and snacks are bad for the kiddos. :shame:

Yeah, I have stores like that. Some bins with games marked, others missed. I'm guessing it's either
1) markdown list on day A is done, but list on day B is missed, so some titles are marked down, but not others
2) games on markdown list are marked down on the floor, but not in the mysterious werehouse, so again some titles marked, but others missed.
my kids wanted it but I've read the reviews and they have way better games to play
You're like, the greatest Pappy ever.

i def waited at a checkout for 5 mins while a circle of employees lauched about who knows what. i did however get checked out at a diff register by a fine looking mamacita ;)
Well, let's see, I ended up paying $3.74 for a Bust-A-Move for PSP (after GamePro PM and then 25% adjustment). And I got Chocobo Tales for $8.97 the same way.

I have another receipt here I didn't bring in - it has a $16.96 game, an $11.96 game (PM of GamePro coupon), and another Bust-A-Move at $4.99 (another PM to GamePro coupon). If only I had brought that receipt with me! I'll get the $16.96 one taken care of at another store but I don't expect the other adjustments (though the $11.96 number *looks* like a clearance price so they may do that one). Actually, then, this lack of auto-pricing has actually gotten me some extra money back! So take that CC!

You're like, the greatest Pappy ever.

Yes, my primary parenting duty is to provide my kids with a quality gaming experience. I let my wife handle all the other stuff .

I should've tried to get some avatar/MtR combos earlier. I went to two CCs yesterday and at the first one I got 2 MtRs and 1 Avatar and then second was cleaned out. I saw that there were 2 or so more MtRs in the main Wii section that weren't marked down, but they're useless with no Avatars!

I also had trouble picking up PSU and Bionicle Heroes for X360. Its like th ead was in chinese. took the girl 10 minutes to look over it saying it was online. and the games werent pictured etc. then i had to waste more time and go over to customer service to get it fixed where i had to tell him how much 25% off of 16.96 would be. Geniuses i swear. like some others i picked up games previously so ill wait until the end of the week to get it fixed, and hopefully the sale will be as well.

Mine made a fuss when I was trying to get Soul Caliber 3. Told me 16.96 whatever was the price. I was like no 25% off 19.99 wouldn't bring this to 16.96. Showed the guy the ad and he told me the manager already told them the discount was already taken.
I didn't feel like arguing though. It was hot outside, I was tired, and the game probably isn't worth 12 bucks in the first place. I just left it and the five other items I was going to buy on the counter and walked out the door.

I couldn't find Avatar either, so I'm not sure what I'll do with the MtR (probably keep one, may return the other). However, if you have a Gamecrazy nearby you can get TMNT for $20 new or $13.49 used (after MVP) and pair that up with MtR.

Saywhuhuh!?!?

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't scare me like that!!! Just the thought...

I was shocked to see that my CC had all the 360 clearance games already marked at $16.96 in the bins they have clearly marked "extra 25%". Cashier gave me a bit of trouble still but when she called back to the manager, they quickly changed the price. Another cashier even said they had to manually mark down about 25 games that one person bought yesterday.

At least, they are honoring the sale without issue (forgetting about the one clueless cashier all the managers, etc. were aware of the problem).

I got 2 copies of Condemned, and a copy of Full Auto for $7 a piece, because they had to give me a free $20 card for the Forza fiasco!!

$41.40 - $20.00 = $21.40 / 3 = $7.13 a piece.......LOL

CAG's 4 ever!!

Yeah it sucks that there aren't any GameCrazy stores around here. I'd get so many more deals...

Good thing is that I saw that they just opened up a new gamestop near my house so I have 3 within 10 miles of my house, 2 near school, and 2 near work so I shouldn't have any problems getting at least one or two to accept games that others won't.

EDIT: Just saw that they actually have two gamecrazys within 15 miles of school, but that doesn't do a lot of good now since school is about 25 miles away from my house :p...I had no idea those were there

I picked up:

Final Fantasy: Chocobo Tales - DS (Marked down to $12.72)
NBA Ballers: Phenom - Xbox (Marked down to $6.72)
Scurge: Hive - DS (Marked down to $9.72)
Are the prices ringing up 25% off now or do they still need to do the manual override?
I'm heading there in a few and I liked to know, too!

I was just there and they had to do it with a calculator. I also had zero problems getting my previous purchase difference refunded.

I'm still looking for VT3, so I'm putting up my others for trade. Check this thread.
Saywhuhuh!?!?
Sorry. Just foolin. *shuffles feet*
I had no issues getting my prices adjusted last night. Taking the weekly ad up to the service desk does help.
See? See? Listen to big sister. She's wise. Well with some things.

I just got shot down... and believe it not, I left the store laughing and shaking my head.

I go in, show them their own ad and ask for the PM. The girl was pretty nice and said "Sure, it'll take just a moment."

After a few tries, she tells me that I already got the clearance price. I ask her, "it's 25% off this week so how could I have gotten it for 25% off last week?" She gives me a blank stare and then gets her manager.

The manager tries and tells me that, "Yeah, looks like those games ring up as $16.96 after the 25% off so you already got the extra 25% discount." I then tell him, "Your clearance games start at $16.96. How can you say 'extra 25% on clearance games' and say these games already have the bonus discount when they're still $16.96?"

He then says,"Sir, I'm sorry, but you're mistaken. The discount is already in place because the game is $16.96 after the 25% off so it's now a clearance item."

:whistle2:?

This is when I started laughing and started walking out of the store. I bought 6 games at $16.96. This is $25 that they won't be able to screw me out of.

I had a similar discussion and was incredibly annoyed. How could I have had the 25% off last week if it says it's an EXTRA 25% off marked prices? The guy said to me they get discounted at different times and the ones I bought were already marked for clearance. In his head, being clearace=extra 25% in the ad.
