dam still looking for DMC collection but I'm guessing the farther CC's are wiped out though so not worth driving in this heat...

My store has a separate section (from the clearance games) labeled something along the lines of 'Value Priced Games - $14.99 or less'.

With the extra 33% off, I might have to go back and pick up that VP2 assuming it's still there. I stupidly left it right up front when I looked at it last time I was there.

CC will only honor games that end in the price"xx.96" as clearance games. The CC I was @ today had a sign on the bins that stated this... Even if the game is labeled "cool deals" it doesn't mean it's clearance. Having worked at Circuit City or almost 4 years, I know that the .96 pricing is CC's way of denoting an item is going OOP... This pretty much goes for evey product in the store> But at the same time, it doesn't mean an item is leaving the store shelves forever, but it my mean that supply has temporarily been cut short, or it will be discontinued. Usually if a .96 priced item is truely discontinued, it will be reduced in price over time to get rid it. But most employees will not know the difference, if its discontinued or in temp. short supply. Although, video games I found, if they ended in .96 were always a clearance item. Therefore any game priced .96 will be subject to the additional 33%, regardless if it is on the shelf or in a bin.

you might want to check in the bin, at first I didn't see anything on shelves and there they were in a bin tossed within the value games.

yeah, sometimes i would prefer a sectioned clearance shelf or aisle, so that, i don't have to snow plow my way. :lol:
 
VP2 actually dropped to about $12, and Drakkengard 2 dropped to $9. Just picked them up today -- even less with their Gamers club thing.

EDIT: Oops, didn't read the rest of the thread -- apparenty there's an unadvertisted 33% off. SWEET. Maybe I'll go back and grab Gun for $6...

I've seen it at Circuit City in Newnan but not in the bins. Recently, I don't know -- mine's a little slow about adding items to the bins, if not at all.
 
Yeah. after the 33% off I got Monster Bomber for $3.32. I had just returned it last week thinking $4.98 was too much :lol:. I probably got the same copy I returned.

I also got Space Channel 5 for $1.98. No VP 2, though, and I totally forgot to look at the DS games #-o.
 
too bad all the DMC boxsets are gone it would've been sweet to get that for $11.36 :) im going to another CC today to find some MGS psp games.
 
sweet..I'll finally pick up Sonic Gems and that will complete my sonic collection.

Donkey Konga 2... is that game only? or with Bongos. it matters little I'll pick it up either way just want to know.

Check the OP, the whole list is right there, including all 3 games you bought.
 
I think it was mentioned, but my CC (Clarksville, IN) had VP 2 for $11.36 before tax (they have about 10 copies) and I will be happy to grab one for somebody. Also Just Cause rang up for $2.36, but from what I hear that may be YMMV.

I think he means off all the stuff you could find, not just the last two months.

I know for a fact Ice Age, Meet the Robinsons, and Avatar for Wii are not on that list on page one, but all are $11.36.

Same goes for Wild Arms 3 and Grandia 3, $8.68 and $11.36 respectively... but those will be in short supply.
 
I just scored the last Xenosaga III and Valkyrie Profile 2 at my CC here at home... for a total of $24.xx!:D

I wish I had time to go through all of the shelfs but two of my buddies work there and every time I go there, I end up spending most of my time chatting with them.

I wonder if the CC at school has anything good. I'll have to check.
 
I found two copies of :psp: Lumines Greatest Hits version. Should I pick them up? I know the non GH version is in high demand but what about the GH version?

i sold my non-gh version for $49 brand new. at this point nobody cares if its GH or not. i would go back and buy it. kick yourself later if you dont see it anymore :lol:
 
Returned to the Deptford NJ CC. I warned you all...

Got my price adjustment ($30, w00t!), and picked up 4x VP2 and found another Rocket Slime, 2 more Chocobo tales, and a MGS: PO, and 2 more Space Channel 5's.

4 more space channel 5's left, $1.98 ea.

Of course, I couldn't find my $15 off coupon, so had to pay the full $114 .. blech.

Went to another CC and didn't have VP2. They had a Godhand, but I passed. Got my 5 receipts adjusted and got back like $52 which is nice

i got VP2 and x2 Conker for the Xbox both $11.36. i actually did see the 33% sign but it wasnt properly placed. didnt see any metal gears cept for Ac!d 2 but i didnt really care much. might actually go back for magical starsign. anyone like that game?

Found Meteos (DS) for $11.36... another old clearance title. Wish I had brought the old list with me too, saw a lot of things like Xenosaga that I knew had been on clearance...

Whenever you see Lumines at B&M stores GET THEM!! GH or not they are still selling like crazy on eBay and Amazon. I've flipped a total of about 20 of them for an average of $45.00 each.
 
Hmmmm, anyone interested in picking up an extra VP:2 for me for 15$ ? I tried 3 different CC's in the area, and all were sold out :(

very true and to add to your point everyone should know that GS/EB had raised the price for Lumines to $34.99. probably the most expensive older psp game at their store.

the yonkers one, they had nothing else to offer though so don't even bother. i was really hoping for the GTA Trilogy & DMC boxsets. they only had 1 so i nabbed it. it was in bad shape (the plastic) but im flipping it on ebay tonight.
 
Thanks for the headsup on the 33% discount as I was able to get some money back on clearance games I bought over the last month.

There were a couple of Xenogears Ep3s in Kennesaw, and a couple Metal Gear Ops, Metal Gear Acid, and God Hand in Acworth. A bunch of other games but those are the ones that stood out to me. So if you want them, go get them.

Oh yeah and about 4-5 VP2s in Kennesaw not marked at the clearance price.
 
I had the price checked on the GTA 3-pack and it was ringing up 29.99.

As a brief aside, if anyone wants to trade me a DMC set or a Xenogears 3, just CML.

I don't believe it is part of this September clearance, but I had a very odd find today. Literally a whole shelf of the Pitfall/Zelda double pack for GBA. $5.40 apiece (after Gamers card). I have literally like 50 of these now lol. They must have been in the back for years (they were all really dusty) and they decided to put them out recently. I dunno, but hooray for me :) If anyone needs one and wants to offer me something good drop me a PM. I've already separated some of the Zeldas from the Pitfalls but both are still sealed (and the Zelda is the original print, NOT PC).
