If I purchased New Super Mario Bros. or Mario Kart DS on launch day I think that I ought to get some coins for it. It is pretty shitty that they would pick an arbitrary cut-off date for games that came out before that date.
I registered both of those on launch day, and was able to earn coins for both just now. Chill.
So let me get this right. You are going to call and complain about something that is already free and very cool (once they get the kinks ironed out). Yeah I bet they will feel real bad and give you more free stuff for bitching...
I'm going to call them and show them my angry game stack on Magic Screen. My stack is large and throbbing with anger. They will feel "bad" all right, real "bad"...

Hmm. I'll totally try this out.

In a day or two.
Now I need to bug someone who buys Wii/DS games to give me their codes.

*looks around*

Wonder how many people will be willing to sell codes soon...
Make me an offer, land-pirate.

I know this has probably been asked a bunch of times, but when I try to log in, it says:
Welcome to Club Nintendo. Transferring your My Nintendo account to Club Nintendo is easy, but we may need some additional information to complete the process. Please click "Join Club Nintendo Now" to continue. NOTE: Make sure to provide the email address associated to your My Nintendo account to successfully transfer your account.

Is that a good or bad sign? I haven't been able to successfully log in once yet.

It is a good sign. Once you add the info it will tell you that the transfer was successful.

yeah, i'm pretty sure it's not a cutoff date, it's just titles. that's the way that everything reads to me, and others have reported getting coins for games (like mario kart) registered long ago. if you've got the titles registered, you'll get credit for them... we just gotta wait for the technical issues to be resolved.

but yeah... if all works out correctly, i should be sitting on at least 1300 coins from the get-go. rock on!

Wont let me log in :( I transferred my My Nintendo account to Club.Nintendo. and it said it transferred.

Im not 100% sure on my username though so maybe im just going to have to email customer service :\

fucking Nintendo, I had my account up and running and all my previous registered games didn't count that were on the FAQ. I'm going to simply assume it is a technical issue.

But if it is not fixed by Friday, I'll be calling them up. I don't want to re-register them though, that be a pain in the ass. A lot of the games I own for the Wii are back in my dorm and will be like that for the next five weeks. I only brought up what I was going to play to my parents house, LOL! :D
Re-registering my wii games is getting me the points. I'm now up to 200,
What about DS games?

EDIT: I just tried re-registering a Wii game and it didn't give me crap

Son of a bitch, trying to log in is worse than Dwight trying to win a contest from a radio station.

Hello, am I the 107th caller?

Everything I had registered throughout the last year prompted me to do surveys for them when I logged in. I had stuff in there like Brawl and Advance Wars Days of Ruin and Metroid Prime Hunters. The only games that I haven't received points for are the 15 VC/WiiWare games I've bought over the last 11 months.

What???

You must have a magic account or something.

You got a survey for Metroid Prime Hunters? Or do you mean Metroid Prime Corruption? I have Hunters registered, but it's not prompting me for a survey on that one.

I got one for hunters. Here's a screen cap of what I've redeemed. All of them where prompted when I transfered my Nintendo account, except for clubhouse games, animal crossing wild world and super mario galaxy, all of which I registered tonights.

EDIT: You'll want to right click on the image and choose "view image" to get a better picture.

If you read the side bar it says not all games with codes will give you a survey and points. I have found that a bunch of games I just registered just now do NOT give surveys. Here are a few examples of games that don't give surveys:
Metroid Prime Pinball
Super Princess Peach
Nintendo DS Browser
Mario and Luigi Partners in Time
Meteos

This is very dissapointing. At this rate I won't reach the 800 points even though I have dozens of GBA, DS, and Wii games.

I don't see Hunters in there, though... All the other ones are also on my list, at least.

Well, I got one title through, but it won't let me log back in. Oh well, I'll try some other time. I really am kicking myself for not keeping my registration stuff.

EDIT: Got through, got about 210 points so far. I need to see about getting my points linked from VC purchases, since those didn't transfer.

Solved. Found my username through the Wii Shop Channel on my Wii. I had previously already linked my My Nintendo account to my Wii before so I just checked through the Wii Shop's settings :D

Now im able to log in but no coins :(

Hmmm. Then I guess I have it registered, but there must not be a survey for it. I thought I did one though. Oh well.

Whew, okay. I was about to freak out 'cause I had that one registered and didn't get bupkis.

Now I need to figure out if I want to register more than 600 coins worth of games per "year". 600 gets me Platinum status, and I can save the rest of my coins for the next year of the program. Hmm...
Has anybody tried registering their DS or Wii system for coins?
I tried adding a recently bought Super Mario DS Lite and got exactly bupkis coins. :(
Has anybody tried registering their DS or Wii system for coins?
You only get coins for games.

am I doing something wrong? I cant see the coins for Phantom Hour glass and Brain Age that i registered in the past

Ok, a bunch of my games that I registered in the past are now showing up. Only problem is that they want me to enter the info again. So I attempted to do that with a couple of games and it says that the pin number cannot be used twice

So my games are finally showing up, but it won't let me re-register them. It also wants me to put in a Product ID# for Earthworm Jim. And some of the games I can't re-register because I sold them like Yoshi's Island DS, Nintendogs and Mario Strikers Charged

Oh haha, that's cute, Club Nintendo.

My To-Do List says I need to re-register everything. Including things like World of Goo. Which is hilarious because it's asking for a code. A code that doesn't exist.

Sewiouswy?

Same happening here.

Thankfully I got really bad about registering my games a couple years back so I have a nice backlog to compensate, but I hope they get some of these prior registration issues fixed. I just wonder if I should hold off on registering some games to see what the "intend to buy" option does, although maybe it'll only be for future games? (not like "I intend to buy Animal Crossing! well, gee, look at that, got it already")

Just got an error about not being able to complete survey. Man, this thing is buggy. And it keeps signing me out.

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but how do I register my Virtual Console and WiiWare games?

I find it odd that only select downloadable games earn you Coins, and not one of them is a first party Nintendo game.

Damn, only 470 total points from my bajillion first party games. I'm going to have to buy another $330 worth of (eligible) games to get that stupid G&W cart!
From the FAQ...
You must first link your Wii Shop Channel to your Club Nintendo account. Once this link is created, the Virtual Console games you download from that point on will automatically be added to your list of registered games. Please note that even if this link has been created, it still may take up to an hour for your downloaded games to appear in your list of registered games. To have Virtual Console games that were downloaded prior to creating the Wii Shop Channel/Club Nintendo link added to your list of registered products, please contact us via email by clicking here. You will need to provide us with all pertinent information (name, email address used when setting up your Club Nintendo account, Wii serial number, etc.). Not providing all of the pertinent information will increase the time it takes to find a solution and receive a reply. You can also call us at 1-800-255-3700. Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week.

I can get 700 points with what I can get (I'd be able to get 840 if I still had Yoshi's Island DS, MSC, Nintendogs and Mario 64 DS)

Forgot to add that by registering Animal Crossing: CF, Wario Land and Wii Music, that'd give me enough for G&W. I could also add KSSU.

Thank you very much!:cool::cool::cool:

God damn it, I got done with my games, and I'm at 580...
20 from the god damned platinum level

Posted a thread over on gametz hoping to just get a registration code from somebody lol
If I can't find one, guess I'll have to buy a DS game for the DSi I plan on buying when it releases here in the US lol

Ok. How is it that everyone seems to be getting logged in but me at this point???

What's weird is that..when I try to re-register.. I use my new password (since I reset it) and it seems to work (registration)..but can never log in.

THEN I try to re-register again, and I use my OLD password and again.. it says "password confirmed"

So what the fuck? It's been like 8 hours now? It should have lightertraffic.

Those Hanafuda cards look really cute, but 800 coins seems a bit steep. That would be 26-ish DS games! Or 16 Wii games. A plush yoshi egg would be nice, though.
So I am guessing all my GameCube games don't count then :(
No they don't. Nintendo says: "sure you bought all those GBA and Gamecube games a while back, but what have you done for me lately?"
