No they don't. Nintendo says: "sure you bought all those GBA and Gamecube games a while back, but what have you done for me lately?"
Well, lately, as in 2 weeks ago, I registered Super Paper Mario. Still, 0 coins, and nothing on my "To Do" list. I signed up using my MyNintendo info, and get logged in just fine; all of my registered games show up under "My Account Settings", but I get no coins and no surveys. Someone tell me what I've done wrong...

wow... site is like slow and I hardly logged in.

Got through getting re-reged... 0 coins. But that's fine! because I have a fresh stack of codes waiting for me because I was too lazy to do them and then I heard a hint of this, and waited.

so...

1.be lazy
2.find codes
3......
4.Profit!

I should have about 1200 coins... that G&W will be mine!

I know 600 is like Plat, but I need that title. I don't know if I want to go for any thing else... it's all stuff I'm not totally interested in, completely.... if I have extra, I may just want to keep it.

I will wait till the weekend for Nintendo to fix the site, and maybe take advantage of the buying, then getting bonus coins.

xycury, where you also getting "username & password don't work" :whistle2:k

I still can't.. and i'm on a different PC now. So I figured maaaaybe there was something up with my browser(s) at home.

This is corny.

Have you tried clearing your cookies/cache? I know it's crazy, but it might work.

I think their site is just very buggy. Some people are seeing surveys, some people aren't. Then for me, it's asking me to enter a pin code for Twilight Princess and World of Goo, and no points are showing up for games I received last night as well as the lack of points for previously downloaded virtual console games.

I went ahead and sent an email last night, but I may call them sometime later this week if it doesn't get resolved.

This is what went down in my hood (Browser)...

Went to club.nintendo.com

on the left user/pass, entered my "My Nintendo" log in.

Page finally refreshed after 2 minutes of waiting. Told me in red font below, GREAT, we can set you up, just click on JOIN NOW.

That Join now was just a small jump below, a grey button which I clicked. This was another like 5 minutes of waiting, the page refreshed, and now the middle was a series of cascading tabs to import the rest of myNintendo info.

I entered, my bday, zip, some other stuff... and my then current password.

Then after that it was another 5 minutes of waiting.

When it was said and done, page refreshed, 0 coins, and it showed my Username above, which when I signed in I had used my email address before.

I then went to the Wii and reged my account there by entering username not email, and the password I had.

NOW, just to clear that up, I didn't make a nintendo account till like 2006 or 2007. So I know it said something like if you created an account before, you'd have to start all over or something. which I think some of you are getting at, with re-reggin' codes.

I haven't checked back since, but it was logging me off every few minutes.

Hmm.. See when I "register", I enter my email and it says "You are already a member". I put in my password (and strangely, my old one AND new one seem to work), and it comes up "confirmed". I put in my other info (like zip code, and name) and "submit" and it comes up as....

"Transfer Complete!
Your My Nintendo account communications preferences and registered products have been transferred to your new Club Nintendo account."

But, I'm not logged in and my log in info does not work.

I might be onto something.
(BTW, I changed my password last night just in case)

When I use my old password, it comes up as incorrect. When I use my new one, I'm NOT logged in..but it says, Welcome to Club Nintendo! Transferring your shit is easy, but we might need more info. :whistle2:k

But I did that like 900x

Seriously? I've had a MyNintendo account since 2003, and I'll be damned if I still have my reg codes...I registered the games, then tossed the codes. This is a serious clusterfuck -- I'll give them time to (hopefully) get everything straightened out. Otherwise, I'll have to contact them to see about getting my damn points.

 this is why I'm mad.. i DO have all my codes and I don't mind to re-enter them again...I just gotta get logged in to do so!!

There is something definitely buggy about the site. I can't even register! After I filled out all the necessary information, once I hit send, I get this incorrect message saying that my last name is an inappropriate word :???:. My last name is Castillo, I don't see anything inappropriate there.

Well, it still wants me to reregister my games, yet when I do I get this

 • The PIN number you entered has already been registered. Each PIN number may only be registered once.

So give me the option to do the survey then.

Lilboo, did you get your "username" on the top part of the login when you got in?

Looks like my username is Xycury1980, but I initially logged in with my email address.

Maybe something is fudged with that.

I just signed in...

I used my username not my email, and my password, which I haven't changed yet.

I know I created an account just soon after getting my Wii in Nov 2006.

Once they get things figured out and my registrations turn into surveys, I'll have 760 points worth. Then I'll just have to put in whatever games I've bought since April (Brawl is the last one I registered) and order up G&W.

For reference, VC/WW games released beginning 10/13 qualify for points. So the oldest games are Secret of Mana, World of Goo, and Street Fighter II: Something or Other.

Man that took long to log in. So now I look at my coins and its all zeros, so I gotta do 14 of these surveys to get my points? At least I'm sitting at a desk at work right now, this will kill some time.

Ok I called Customer Service (LOL).

The guy said my account IS fine. It did migrate over. HOWEVER, Club Nintendo isn't even launched yet. The site IS up, but the service isn't.

I can accept that as an answer. However, he said "I don't even know when the service is going to be launched"

Maybe he doesn't, but I can't imagine no one knows when it will officially be launched.

I hope this helped myself and some others out..
But what I don't get is why it won't work at ALL for some, work sorta for others, and work "well" for a few?

:whistle2:k

I had to keep refreshing after clicking their email confirmation link and eventually it showed up after 3 or 4 tries. I would keep trying. These surveys are quick and painless though.
Hmm. I'll totally try this out.

In a day or two.
Make me an offer, land-pirate.
Who says pirate? I just don't use my Nintendo consoles right now, the DS is lost in my room, and honestly, the Wii I've just played Brawl on for months....

But damn Animal Crossing for coming out...

I logged in with my old mynintendo account, it told me to click join club nintendo, I filled out a couple things, then it sent me a link to confirm my email. After that I relogged in, which took quite awhile, and a couple refreshes later I was in.

I then walked down the dungeon stairwell, proceded to take the skeleton key from my magical item pack, and entered the boss room filled with coins. Much to my surprise there was no dragon to be found. Pick up the flask? Y/N

:(
I want an email.

But, if he says my shit is fine..I won't get too mad until the service "officially" launches. Whenever that will be, :[

Don't feel bad, I didn't receive an email confirmation either. :(

Does anyone know how many points per game you receive for Club Nintendo in Japan? I'm seeing points differences between similar offered rewards. Game & Watch = 500 points in JP, DS Lite Pouch = 250 points (plus lots of colors). In any case, I'm glad we finally have it, but I'm kind of disappointed that some stuff isn't offered (like multiple pouch colors).

I can't log in for the life of me. I go through the registration process, then it won't let me log in.

Oops, I too did get an email to confirm.

Which I did... and I was done.

I didn't pick up the flask, till nintendo fixes their shite.

Okay since boo called customer service, I was logged out and now can't get back in. You've ruined everything! Really though, after I did my fifth survey, I guess it timed out or something cause I was booted back to the login page and when I try to log back in it just sits.

ahh, 500 for G&W... and they have the sequel ...

I want some of the music CDs...

I hope that when they officially launch that they will add a bunch of NA only stuff...

Yeah, I just keep going through the endless loop too.

Even if I DO get logged in it sounds like I'll have 0 points anyway (?) despite having registered dozens of games? Well, maybe that CS REP was right and it hasn't launched...but then why is it up?

So far this is as lame as the "you can't play VC games on your new system even though we know you bought them because the old and new system are tied to your account" crap Nintendo does.

Man, their really gouging us on the "rewards". Assholes.....I could be playing G&WC if I lived in Japan.
:evil::evil::evil:

Awesome, I signed in this morning and all my old registrations are on my to-do list, so I'm looking at a shit-ton of points. It's still too buggy to actually pull up the survey though. I'll be getting my game and watch soon Nintendo, very soon...

I got a confirmation email, but like lilboo and others I can't log in. I'm on a different computer now as well. Dammit - I want to see what transferred!

Wait, why are folks trying to get a confirmation email?

I logged in and transferred my My Nintendo account this morning, and I have no games in my to-do list. Goody.

We all hate you for that.

*edit* I'm in! Now you can all hate me too! None of my games transferred though and I have only one survey for Tetris DS. I want to go home and add more coins. I hope I don't get blocked from "re-registering" the games that didn't transfer.

Argh. I keep getting
Transfer Complete! Your My Nintendo account communications preferences and registered products have been transferred to your new Club Nintendo account.
But can't log in without it telling me that transferring my account is easy, and I haven't recieved the email confirmation.

I threw out all my codes... If I lose my registered games, I will take hostages.

I think the issues are slowly being worked out. I have no points for any of my WiiWare/Virtual Console titles, but the only eligible game I had showed up (Twilight Princess). I took the survey for that and got 50 coints posted once I finished. I'm still kind of peeved that I have not received any coins for my downloaded titles, but it's slowly getting there.

So those of you who are seeing previously registered games in your To Do list: Were those games there immediately upon setting up your account or did they not show up until later? If later, how long did it take? I registered around 10:00 AM EST and have a lot of eligible registered games but nothing's showing up in my To Do list yet. =(

Also, just out of curiosity: Those of you who kept your games but threw out your codes after entering them, why? Do you usually throw out all of the inserts in a game?

I finally got logged in, and sure enough, NOTHING. This is more worthless than it was before, when at least it listed the stuff I'd registered. Yay.

It took a little more than 12 hours for it to show up as surveys.

I'm in the same boat, registered hours ago, but I still have an empty To Do list.

As for the other question: I personally throw out all of the extras that come in the package; I keep the manual, but throw out any Nintendo Power ads, Wifi instruction manuals, registration codes, and all that other crap I don't need. I've just never seen the need to keep it.

I used to do that too - I hated papers falling out of the game case when I opened it. The only reason I have most of the inserts still for recent purchases is laziness. I almost never open instruction manuals any more so I don't even bother disturbing any of the paper products on that side of the case.

Managed to input a bunch of codes, now I can't login AT ALL.

Guess I'll be trying again later tonight. Seems like the site is still harsh congested.

Well I've done 350 coins worth of surveys so far (from previously registered games), so I'm pretty happy right now. It does still keep kicking me off every once in a while though. Since there are a few games on there that they didn't have on that other list I think I've got something like 1,110 coins worth of surveys to take.
