The teaser was good, and the full five minute one did a good job too. The CG looks a bit off in some scenes but on a TV budget it wasn't terrible. Also to see Jesse L Martin back on TV will be good.

Yup, The Flash seems to be of the quality I expected based on Arrow. The action looks great, the CGI is great for a tv show, and the acting is average with some spotty line delivery - which is all perfectly fine by me. I'm looking forward to it!
It's good to see that they aren't so stressed about the show being its own thing that they won't allow Arrow appearances. It'll be interesting to see how big of a role Felicity may have in the future - at the very least you would expect a phone call to take place after he wakes up.
Also, am I the only one who was reminded of Static Shock's "bang babies" when they started talking about the metahumans popping up as a result of the catastrophe?

Just watched the 5 minute trailer and yeah, I'm sold. The fact they got Reverse Flash in there from the get go gets me excited, though I hope he gets the Hunter Zoloman creepy red eyes.

Okay, so I'm making a couple of changes to my comic buying... or rather, I plan to.
First of all, I finally pulled the trigger on the first Hellblazer tpb, it'll ship with my sub at the end of the month. It'll be a lot of extra money going forward, but I can always sell it later to get some of my money back - which is actually part of my next point:
I'm (hopefully) done with the obsessive collecting. I'm running low on space as it is (I'm dangerously close to becoming a hoarder), plus comics aren't getting any cheaper. My new plan is to keep my monthly books for so long, maybe build up an arc or two of each series, and then sell them off in chunks. If I'm in love with a particular run (like with Lemire's Green Arrow) then I'll buy the hardcovers or tpb at a later time or try to get them as Christmas/Birthday gifts, and there'll be a variant here and there that I'll keep. I'm just driving myself nuts trying to carefully store all of these floppies and keep track of what I have when I really don't have the space at all for it, and unlike most people I really don't think I'll ever re-read 90% of them.

Yeah, I was a digital buyer for a while when I had a fully functional tablet. Once I started having issues with it I went back to physical copies again. I know it's possible to read at my computer, but it's not ideal for me. Plus I can always sell these physical books or give them to friends/family if I want to.
Definitely been considering going back to digital though.

You should go back to it. Get a Nook Color and just go to town. That's what I use and I was in your exact same situation a little over a year ago. Now I have started cutting down on a lot of my physical stuff and just carry about 5,000 or so digital comics with me at any given time.

I just finished Forever Evil: Blight. I have to say that I liked it overall - and Pandora, Phantom Stranger and John Constantine turned out to be a VERY cool trio of lead characters to follow through this whole massive sub-event. I'm not sure that I exactly understand what went down with Constantine in the very last issue (I'm a little off my game, allergies hit me hard today) but there were a lot of cool moments - the Deadman/Sea King stuff especially. And I have no idea if Nick Necro existed in the comics pre-52, but I can't help but read this version's voice like Keanu Reeve's Constantine. I feel like that's what they were going for with all of the "whoa's" thrown into his dialogue, plus he looked the part.

Where forth does this rumor come from because I hope as hell it'd be true. The only way Sony can get me to see a Spider-man movie now is if they hire JK Simmons to play J. Jonah Jameson again and make him the main star. SPIDER-MAN! MENACE! The J. Jonah Jameson Story.
And I remember when Sony was saying how they were expecting Amazing Spider-man 2 to make Avengers type money, meaning it getting into the billion dollar mark. Oh hilarious.

The biggest, worst news on if this rumor was to be true is if it goes back to Marvel...we'll probably have to deal with another Spider-man remake. Though Amazing Spider-man 2 was just such garbage and the fact they just figured or assumed that people would love that movie so much that they could get away with two spin off's and another sequel is kinda insulting.

The rumor comes from Max Landis' (writer of Chronicle) twitter. His post was something along the lines of "I can't believe Sony just sold the Spider-Man rights to Marvel Studios. Things will get interesting in five months... oops, wasn't supposed to say anything!" or something similar. It was promptly deleted.
The problem is that he also apparently had some other insane tweets the same day, saying he himself was going to play a Marvel character (can't remember which one) in a movie along with some other stuff which he also deleted.
So basically he decided to troll everyone, I'd say. I used to like the guy well enough because of his Youtube videos about Knightfall and The Death of Superman, and then because of Chronicle, but he's beginning to seem more and more like a Hollywood prick. So what is up with these new 3D motion covers? I know, I know... art is subjective... but it seems like a lot of these just don't deserve the motion cover treatment. Booster Gold's is especially bad.
Constantine's is great, the Zatanna cover is okay too. I kind of dig the Batman and Robin one just because the Batman part of it reminds me of the opening to BTAS. I suppose there's nothing really wrong with Flash's, other than the fact that Wally's costume looks like something Joel Shumacher would approve. The rest of 'em... ehh...

yes I enjoyed that movie. Bryan Singer should get a Michael Jackson get out of jail pass and still be loved for all those accusations after this movie. This movie should've literally fallen apart with such a colossal story and that many characters, but everyone got a chance to shine. And Blink. Oh God, Blink was awesome and I never thought she'd be in any X film, let alone look as cool as she did in this. Though biggest question is
how the is Xavier alive? I'm kinda okay with it since now it basically puts X3 out of cannon, but he kinda just appears and I felt okay with it, but really there's no explanation and I guess X-Men 2, XMO: Wolverine and The Wolverine also don't count as in continuity?

Technically the old time line had to exist for the new one to come about in some screwed up manner but this wiped out the events of all the previous movies. On the Xavier front I believe they just assumed everyone saw that stinger at the end of X3 that gave some hope that Xavier was still alive due to some sort of mind transfer. They wanted SPS back so they just glossed over it.

you mean because Xavier died in X3? In the end credit scene he had transferred himself into a new body with Moira's help. He did the same thing in a comic a loooong time ago. I believe it was in Ultimate X-Men because I remember recognizing that it had been used before when I saw X3 in theatres, but it has been so long that I can't remember which comic it was anymore. As for continuity, Origins and X2 are the only ones really at stake because we don't yet know if Mystique totally assumed the identity of Stryker to make Wolverine become Weapon X now or whatever. Wolverine still happened to Logan though, so it should totally still be in continuity just in a different reality. I wouldn't be surprised if the third Wolverine movie uses this to their advantage to make a better Silver Samurai.

I Gotta spice up our relationship somehow... And believe me I didn't want to dislike it so much. I Actually enjoy Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone and think they have great chemistry (even with the awful dialogue) and I was one of those weirdo's who enjoyed Amazing Spider-man. The only thing I enjoyed about Amazing 2 was Paul Giamatti. I Want a spin off of Paul Giamatti and JK Simmons as J. Jonah living together in an apartment and driving each other insane.

But you see older stryker in x-2 recognizing wolverine so it was obviously him that did it to wolverine or had a huge hand in it or did wolverine going back in time alter that so what does that mean for the future? I'll be honest, I was trying to think of a way to explain this with both this film and X-Men Origins: Wolverine taking place in the same year that Wolverine is trialed to death by firing squad in Vietnam alongside Sabretooth in Vietnam (1973), but I just kept confusing myself and didn't know how to make words out of it. In short, I have no idea. I Think it'd be easier just to think this is all a new continuity now if anything to save some headache.

Everytime I think of Bishop I think of the 90's X-Men cartoon where he's out to kill Gambit and it's where I learned the word "ASSASSIN!" since he said it nearly everytime he was on that show (which coincidentally enough was their version of Days of Future Past). So even in the movie I expected his only words to be "ASSASSIN!" Plus I think he got more time to shine than Sunspot who just shot fire that had no effect.

I assume you are talking about the comics? If so, I havent read a xbook since like 1994. lol I'm glad to hear it though. I was always disappointed that magneto didn't really do anything other than lead "the bad guys" in the old comics.
I dont know who blink is, but I haven't read a x book since the Age of Apocalypse.

It was supposed to be an homage to Mags ripping out Logan's adamantium.
I think Origins did get erased. Maybe the Origins movie we saw was just ridiculous because it was while the future was in flux during that whole part of the movie when the future was getting changed. That could make sense.
