COWABUNGA DUDES! TMNT out now on XBLA - 400pts!
Yeah the March 20th release date seems odd since its a tuesday.

Assuming it does come out the 21st, i think next week might belong to castlevania or...DOUBLE DRAGON

I think people are forgetting that double dragon was said to have a march release at 400 points.

If 2 of the next 3 weeks are castlevania and double dragon then the lineup would be

Alien Hominid
Worms
Castlevania/Double Dragon
TMNT
Castlevania/Double Dragon

that would indeed deliver for March as M$ said they would!
I definitely have not forgotten about Double Dragon. It was one of my favorite arcade games.

Of the officially announced games back in early February this is the remaining list of games due to come out any week now.

3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures

Band of Bugs
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Catan
Eets: Chowdown
LUXOR 2
Without going too far off topic, I'm banking on Luxor 2 next week. The damn page has been up on Xbox.com since Alien Hominid went live.
Maybe, but whatever it is I seriously doubt we'll see Castlevania this month. That would suck, because I'd have to change my profile back.

I wasn't planning on buying Double Dragon, but if it is next week's release, and they then follow that up with TMNT, I'll probably buy Double Draogn just on general principle. Good behavior deserves to be rewarded, I'm hoping these recent & coming soon games will sell well so they realize what should have been obvious already: release shit, and people don't care. Release good stuff, and people will fucking throw their wallets at you.
I apologize if this has been asked/answered already, but is this the same game as Turtles 2 for the NES, Turtles in Time for the SNES, or neither?
I'm sure it has been answered on a previous page, but it's the "same game" in that the NES was a port of this arcade title, yes.

Turtles in Time was the arcade sequel to this title, which later showed up on the SNES as TMNT IV. The interim game, TMNT III on the NES, was an original title that had similar (but slightly enhanced) gameplay to TMNT II on the NES.

hmmm... is it worth a 15 mile trip to get points for cheaper with the GGC on a week where I'm immensely busy? I'm thinking I'll probably just buy them through the XBLM.

Well I really was hoping for Castlevania, but I won't complain about this game. I just need to get a points card now...

I am just happy that I get to use my microsoft points that have been sitting in account for what seems like forever.

Man, I've been going through so many Marketplace Points lately. Looks like I have just enough to cover this before I need to buy more.
Weird thing is that the achievements haven't been released yet. Can't wait until Wednesday!
They will probably be some lame ones... play as all 4 turtles, beat the game, beat the first level, beat the game on co-op, etc etc.

I'm hoping they have some creative ones.

I am so there! How bad is it that I'm so excited just to be able spend my marketplace points on something? Still, I enjoyed this game in the arcade and can't wait to dl this thing on Wednesday!

Though not for everyone, this will mark the third week in a row with a cool release on XBLM. I think MS is finally turning things around.
Sweet! and I said it was going to cost 800 points.

Man I can't wait. What time do they normally stick stuff on the arcade?
Anyone want to guess if this will be the fastest selling arcade title yet? How about just among the retro titles? If it isn't, I think it'll be damn close.

As far as achievements, I don't expect much becaust there's really not much to the game. I'd MUCH rather have standard "beat Bebop & Rocksteady" or "clear level 5" achievments than something ridiculous that harkens back to the early days of XBLA like "FINISH THE ENTIRE GAME WITHOUT CONTINUING" or "BEAT THE FINAL TWO BOSSES WITHOUT GETTING HIT" or whatever.

I would guess that one of them will be "Play as each of the 4 turtles".
 PLEASE KONAMI MAKE A SIMILAR DEAL FOR X-MEN ARCADE GAME
that would be super bad ass
6 players much?

I agree about the achievements, they should be mostly regular gameplay focused, and then maybe one or two extreme ones. I got Smash TV, and I think I only was able to get two achievements off of it because they were insanely hard.

Time to go buy another point card. I was going to buy worms but the demo just didn't do it for me. I loved worms on the PC, I just couldn't get into it.

You'll probably also get the "kill X amount of enemies" acheivement, as if I recall, the game kept a point system for each bad guy defeated. At least I remember the NES version of it like that.
i just got more pts thanks to a gift from a friend..so 400 sounds alot better than 800...i wonder how much castlevania will be.
I would not be surprised at all to see Castlevania at 1200 points, or even 1600. They'll sell a lot more at 1200, though.

Because everyone is annoyingly gushing over Castelvania - and because I think it's obvious Microsoft is stringing its release along for multiple reasons - it's probably going to be 1200 or 1600.

That's probably fair, all things considered... But it's a bit of a gouge.

I can't express how much I played this game when I was younger. I always thought "I wish I could play this at home," knowing that it would never happen. Now that its going to happen, I hope that the game lives up to my expectations in my head.

Either way, for $5.00 its definately worth it. I call Michealangelo.

This is going to be the first Arcade game I have actually bought, my other games were from redeeming codes. Anways, this is going to be sweet! I hope I will have some time to play a little in the morning before school :).

As for achievements, I would say in addition to playing as each character, there will be an achievement each time you beat the game with a different character, along with atleast a few for beating the game over Live.

Definitely going to pick this up when I get my 360 back on Thursday, remembered playing this a lot in the arcade. I've always been hoping to see an arcade perfect version come to a console and had to settle for the NES version.
