COWABUNGA DUDES! TMNT out now on XBLA - 400pts!

I am just remembering how much I love this game.

When I was little, I used to beg my Dad to take me to the arcade so we could play this. One time he had to take me golfing with him and his friends, which had to have been a downer, but instead of raising hell, I was really, really good that day (I was 5-6). Afterwards he was really happy that I had been so good and offered to either let me skip a day of school, buy me an action figure (probably would have been a ninja turtle), or basically whatever I wanted; I chose to go to the arcade and play this game.

I have some very fond memories of playing this game with my Dad when I was young and basically cannot wait to play it again (for only $5!).

I can't wait to play this game (I call Ralphael btw). Ninja turtles were my favorite thing as a kid and I played this game and played with the toys religiously. Still to this day I am fond of the turtles as I own most of their cartoons on dvd, plan on seeing the movie opening day and I plan on buying the movie based game as well.
This is going to be the first Arcade game I have actually bought, my other games were from redeeming codes. Anways, this is going to be sweet! I hope I will have some time to play a little in the morning before school :).

As for achievements, I would say in addition to playing as each character, there will be an achievement each time you beat the game with a different character, along with atleast a few for beating the game over Live.
They ain't fucking around with those achievements. The only thing I like, is that I won't be able to get them all in one shot.

Anyone have an mp3 of the ninja rap? I gotta get it on my 360 by Wednesay. :)

If anyone wants to play Wednesday or between then and the weekend let me know. I'd like to get a crew of 4 together and go through it.

Added you to my friends list and want to play ... badly. Anyone else want to set a date?
WOW Those Achievments are pretty gay.
really? i like that they are unique and not just "beat x boss" "beat x stage"

Alright, got my points card, now I just need avoid spending it between now and when the game comes out...

I can't believe how excited I am about a stupid XBLA release...

I'm in the same boat. But this arcade game was extremely popular with mid-20s age people, so I'm just buying into this game until next week when I'm bored with it. :)

As far as I'm concerned $5 for a week's worth of fun is MORE than worth it.

Wow. Achivements that actually take work to achieve? Amazing. The price is so amazing I don't care anyways... im buying it like so many other people. If you don't buy it you don't have a soul, or don't like beatemups... or don't have a 360.

Damn! Makes me wish I had a 360 w/ Live. I went with a PS3 and thier on-line content is very poor at best. I was too much of a CAG to pay for playing online.

TMNT kicks ass! I blew so many quarters on it in the arcades as a kid and about crapped when they released it on the NES.

Oh Shiiiiiiiit....

I'm on it 4 AM EST Tomorrow (Or Wednesday, I guess). I never in a million years would have thought this'd be here this week. I'm stoked.

Thinking back I don't recall ever beating this game. I played it and enjoyed it as a youngin, but I don't remember beating it.

That gives me more motivation to download and beat this game.

I had the NES port and I don't think I ever beat that either. My friend and I got really close a few times but never all the way through it.

Yes I realize saying I was a CAG but bought a PS3 was silly. In my mind it was worth it because I was getting a PS2, PS3, and a Bluray player all in one unit.

I for one am shell-shocked (pun not inten- oh who am I kidding it totally was) that this is only going to be $5. I can't believe how microsoft kept this under wraps for sooo long and only telling us about it about a month before release. This gives me a glimmer of hope for the simpsons game...

Man oh man, I'm excited. I was always good at the NES port, being able to clear it without dying, but the arcade version is much, much harder. Beating Krang's robot without losing 10 health? Jesus. Some of the acheivements are looking to be pretty damn tough.

Part of me wants the "complete" game in the NES version on the VC, while the other part of me is just ducky with not having to fight that guy. ;)

Those achievements are awesome... actually give you a reason to go back through and play the game again, rather than "Beat level 1 - 6".

Can you post them here....I cannot access the achievements site :)

I'd rather have this version for the Live 4 player co-op.

Oh, and I will be redeeming my 1 year Gold code for this. Crackdown couldn't get me to get around to redeeming it but a $5 arcade title will  I'm far too excited for this.

Although, I genuinely feel like this and Contra are the kind of games that Live arcade was made for. I mean sure its cool to play some of the other arcade titles online together but this is one great use of the arcade.

It would be nice a surprise if they released it around the same time as the movie!

Live gold is great and all but silver will let you get any of the downloads you just cant play against other people.

So is this game going to have any multiplayer?

My bet is turtles in time will be held for sequal if the movie does any good.

Yeah, I know how Silver/Gold works.

This game will have 4 player Live co-op, hence the reason I made a big deal about redeeming my 1 year code...

FINALLY a XBLA game to get excited over. :applause: I will be going to bed early and will wake up around 4am to download and play. If anyone wants to get a session going, I will be more then happy to play. just add my gamertag: Xpag406 and we will get it on! I call Donatello! Later.

I'm so excited about this game, I have to keep posting in this thread!

With all of us chomping at the bit for some hawt XBLA-action, I wonder how much load the servers will take tomorrow morning? I just want my game DL'd and ready to rip.

I'll also give a hells yeah for some Turtles in Time love. I'm actually hoping this goes to Live instead of Wii VC since we all know how much Nintendo is into online play.

And is anyone else impressed a big name 4 player Live game will actually pass certification in a timely manner *cough*castlecrashers*cough*? What the power of a movie tie-in can do!

Yeah i imagine for the first hour-90 minutes the servers will be like a crawl. It also depends on how big the file will actually be. Oh well, In another 12 1/2 hours, we'll all find out!

Turtle Power!

I remember reading an op/ed piece maybe about a month ago where someone was saying that they think the developers often use the MS certification process as a scapegoat for the fact that they can't get their shit done on time. Seems more possible than ever right now.
