Picked up a bunch of Xbox stuff - Manhunt, Red dead revolver, Full Spectrum Warrior, Riddick, and Psi-Ops. I registered and accepted the free trial offer before ordering anything, and got free shipping on all 5. Kind of dumb that you have to order each game individually...wonder if they will arrive in 5 separate envelopes?!

Crap I just got charged shipping and I did exactly what everyone here said to do. Looks like a scam to me on Gamefly's part. I better get my $2 back or they will never heard the end from me!

Lets just say I am angry and I won't be placing my second order.

CamWhoring time. Again. Here are two games I received from Gamefly this morning.. I realize that most scratches wouldn't show up under a camera.. but nevertheless, to those who doubt.. hehe the second picture makes my hand look fat and small.

The Suffering:

Small smudge in the lower left hand corner.

Mafia:

Holy crap! How did I miss this thread? Great prices on games, better than EB even with the codes.

Ended up getting Sudeki and Suffering for around $20 shipped. Hell of a deal, especially considering I almost paid $17 for Suffering from EB a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks OP. The only problem I have now is figuring out which games to play as I have too many I still need to finish. :(

I don't see how people are having trouble getting free shipping - it gave me the free shipping option as soon as I signed in. But then, I've had an account with Gamefly for a year now. I used to rent from them - great service. And their used games come perfect, almost always looking new.

would it be too late to cancel an order...i ordered espn baseball and mvp 2004..i decide i dont want 2 baseball games..instead of espn and get something else like psi ops or red dead revolver...these prices are very good though... got 6 games so far:bond EoN, mvp 2004, espn baseball, manhunt, riddick, and full spectrum warrior ...all w/ free shipping...all for under $60..good value..any other good games i should look into getting? thanks

Damn, this IS a really good deal...I'm having trouble keeping myself from taking advantage of it. Must...resist...buying more games I'll probably never play...

Oh, and Breakdown is a great game for the price. It has it's quirks (make sure you play it on Easy the first time), but overall it's a very interesting and unique game. Still has the best storytelling I've ever seen in a game (captures that whole " seeing through the character's eyes" thing really well). I'm ALMOST considering picking up another copy for a friend...but I'm resisting temptation to spend all my money so soon after I got it ;)

you cant cancell an order with gamefly once you order. I think all sales are final

ESPN football is Awsome way better then madden and well worth the price
I just picked up Riddick now I'm thinkin about getting Outlaw Golf 2, ESPN Football 2k5, Manhunt, and Breakdown. Anyone have these games and can give their opinion on them?
Dumbf*cks charges me shipping too on Mega Man Collection for PS2. Sent em an e-mail, they better get it sorted out, I know it's only 2.00 but still...it was advertised as free.

I have a question...... the whole members get $1 or two off. Is it possible to join, get the free trial, then cancel your subscription after you order?

No, you don't get the discount during your free trial, I believe.
You can pre-pay one or two months though, and get the discount and save additional money on the membership fees.

Read through the thread... You have to create an account BEFORE you checkout. Its their fault, but still, its been posted on every page of this thread.

I can 't find a place to create an account before checkout without the free trial.
Also, can you only order 1 game at a time?

The place to sign up is when you click Buy It on any game at the bottom of the screen you click on the Next Button they let you sign up under Buyer Only so that you won't have to pay the subscriber fee or have to sign up for the free trail unless you just want to.

How do you create an account with Gamefly for buying without adding anything to your cart ? Everytime I try to create an account it tells me to pick some sort of subscription rate :p ...and I do not want to subsribe to any of there offers.

There is no way that I know of to sign up without purchasing a game. But it is still a good deal because they just charge you shipping & handling for the completion of your first order for being a new member. Then, anything else that you order during the free shipping period is shipped without the charge. If you spread that one shipping charge over alot of games you are spending just spending a couple of extra cents to have this sweet deal.

For example: I bought Manhunt and Mafia which were each 7.99. I bought Mafia first which with tax and shipping cost me all of $10.46. Then, I ordered Manhunt with tax cost all of $8.47. If you spread the shipping on to the two games I bought that is roughly a dollar a game you can't beat that.

i don't know why everybody has a problem with the FREE shipping. i didn't have an account with gamefly before i purchased my first order, but i followed the directions that were given on this forum and i wasn't charged shipping. here is what i did:

signed up for a free trial (will cancel as soon as i get the shipping confirmation)

placed an order for the games

it's as simple as that. if anybody is worried about the difficulty of cancelling the subscription, all you have to do is go to "my account" and mark the "cancel subscription" part. i hope that nobody else has problems with their order. g'luck!

You don't even have to get a subscription at all to order from the site... I dunno why some people think you do.

Did you get the small discount for being a member, doraemon?
You don't even have to get a subscription at all to order from the site... I dunno why some people think you do.

hi dafoomie,

naw, they didn't give me a discount :( ah well, i'm happy with the free shipping :)

Ok, since this is not being explained by anyone, how do you only sign up as a member? I click on the button that says "sign up for a 10 day trial" because there are no other buttons anywhere asking me to sign up as a member. When I go into these, it gives me the option to ONLY pick a 10 day free trial or a pre-paid account. There is no other way.

Since a lot of people are asking this same question, and an equal number of people are scoffing about how "I can't see how you don't get it," can someone PLEASE TELL ME step by step what I need to do? Otherwise I see NO WAY to become a member without signing up for a trial.

Of course, if I have to do that, log out, log back in, order games, and then cancel it, then I'll do that.

But if there's another way, please tell me.

Thanks guys,
Strell
You only get the discount after your free trial is over OR if you pre-pay the first month or two.
Or if your free trial expired and your running off of McDonald's monopoly codes

WHOA! if you sign up under a referral from a friend that friends gets 10 bucks! lol SWEET! PM me if you want to sign up ;) haha jk purchase thru links on main page!

To sign up without having to register for the 10-Day Free Trail all you have to do is pick any game that you would like to purchase then press the Buy It Button.
Then, there will be a little button to click on that says Next. Be careful do not click on the box that says to sign up for the free trail before you hit Next.
Finally, you will be prompted to input your information to create an account that will only be used for you to be able to buy games with instead of having to sign up for the rental service and they will keep your information on file to service you quickier for any other purchases you might make with GameFly.

I'm pretty surprised that nothing seems to have sold out. (At least nothing I noticed out of the cheap Xbox games.)

I figured some of these would sell out fairly quickly (like Full Spectrum Warrior) Hopefully this isn't a glitch and we won't be getting cancellation e-mails on Monday. (I'm just full of optimism for the holidays ;) )

Gamefly is a huge company with thousands of subscribers so they always have a ton of copies of popular games. It works the same way buying used at Blockbuster does. They only sell stuff cheap if they have a ton of it and nobody is renting it. That's why you can find copies of DVDs of the Hulk at Blockbuster for $2.99 used, and that's why you can get Sudeki for $8 at Gamefly. They have a bunch of them (which would make sense as Sudeki was pretty highly anticipated at one point) and now nobody is renting them.

If you notice, some of their games are too expensive (Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance 2 for $29.99 used? Ouch) because they probably only have a few copies of those for sale. The more expensive games would probably sell out faster than the cheap ones.

is sudeki worth it for $7? what are other good games are under $10 for xbox? so far i got FSW, Bond, Riddik, manhunt, espn baseball, mvp 2004..thanks

Does anyone know how long the delivery takes from Gamefly? I don't want to order it and the package comes after I leave for college.

on the website it says within 5 business days so hopefully by end of this week..i remember when renting it would take only a day or two

splinter cell:pT worth 14.99 or think it will go lower? if so, worth it to get 2 games like sudeki and psi ops at about the same price

im a member they do give yu a small discount. 2-10 bucks. depending on a title. dont the preplayed games come scartched? ima collector so ii dont like buying pre-played games unless i know there mint.

Is it possible to put more than one game in your shopping cart at a time? Everytime I try to add additional games, the previous game is deleted and the newly added game is the only one in the cart. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

One more question. Has anyone signed up for the trail membership to save money on a purchase? How much do you save with a membership? Can you sign up for a free membership and not ask for any games and then cancel in a day or two?

Yeah, sales tax. It should be free shipping. You'll see a total before you submit, and it'll probably say FREE next to it.

You know, you have a lot of questions.. lol I seriously doubt you get a discount with a trial membership.. with a real one, you get like five dollars off or something. I doubt you can sign for a "free" membership and not ask for games and then cancel.. pretty sure you have to be an active member for a month or two to get an extra discount.

The $5 dollars you are referring to would be off of your monthly fees if you were to pay for your fees in advance. The discount on games by being a rental subscriber would only be about $1 to $3 on average.

Thanks OP!! I picked up Manhunt for xbox. I was charged shipping, but I sent an email regarding the free shipping. We'll see how that goes. Anyone see anything good for the 10-15 price range for any system?
