Demon's Souls - Atlus & From Software's Action RPG - October 6

This is true. But I never summoned help but a few times, and mostly for fun and not need of help. Never thought of it like that.

PKers come in with a PK build, which can be annoying since they usually come prepared for any kind of player. I usually prepare for the level alone, and not anything else (need the item space to pick up items). If I am running around in level 5 in my poison skivvies, getting invaded is bad news.

The gecko thing is a good point... I think the PK system is pretty awesome and well implemented, but being able to get your geckos taken away sucks pretty bad. That could royally screw someone. And the black phantom doesn't have to worry about enemies slowing them down... they can just run straight to them and kill them, if they wanted.

Luckily, that never happened to me. If it did, I would probably track some people down in real life!

Scratch my last request of trophy help, can I just get someone to help me beat NG+? I am SL 117 and I just have 1-3,1-4, 3-2, 3-3, ALL OF 5. I would really appreciate a co-op partner.

invaders are awesome because it makes getting PWWT that much easier.

each black phantom killed = +1 PWWT

but yea, the only other way to get PWWT is to stay in soul form the whole time so dying doesn't penalize you.
There are several people that will help with trophies and playing. You are out of my SL range though.
Is there a better place to ask so that those people see my request(s)?

I could tell...

the way this game works, at least to "own" it anyway, is to basically set up your character specifically for the gear you to plan to use. You want a game plan, and to adhere to that strictly.

After playing my first character for 18 hours, I knew he sucked. My second character was a little better, but again, not focused enough. It wasn't until my 3rd character that I really nailed what I was going for.

I actually suggest following a similar game plan. It makes the entire game a since, except maybe the boss in 3-2. I figured out how to glitch his ass with God's Wrath, so thats no longer a problem.

Or hyper mode + second chance. That always makes the game too easy as well

I like invading to get your worlds to black. It takes less than 2-5 minutes to kill the host and go back to dying after being revived. I like it better than cooping because of how stupid people are with the ratings. But yeah if your a blue and put a stone down near a boss, that would be much faster than invading.

i just save my stones of ephemeral for doing that. same effect but about 20 times faster...

that works what you're doing, but can be time consuming. Invading probably is my favorite part of this game tbh. I don't mind being that "dick", especially when you one-shot someone with a DBS+5 thats cursed

I like my character and I made it when someone said they would help me do all the things I wanted to do, but then WKC came out and they abandoned me for it, which is fine. They were melee so I chose a magic user, but now that I am a magic user I need someone who can distract the enemies so I can assist with magic or arrows.

Yeah, I would use them too, but I rather ruin someone's day.

I'd be willing to help you out. My guy's a magic-user, too, but I've beat every board by myself except 4-2 (had a blue phantom there) so I'm sure together we could do fine. Msg me if you see me online (I generally play from 8-10 CST or so). My guy is SL 101 right now, though, so if you level up much more you might go out of range.

I am currently 117...which means you need to be at least 107 to connect with me

It isn't a flat rate 10 for meeting up. The gap grows as you level.

So what range could I play with at 117?

3-1 is way easier than 2-1 for me. I decided to do that one, after I saw you could do other worlds. I already made it to the final steps before the last boss, but some red glowing enemy killed me, and I was completely out of herb or whatever to heal. Only had an inch of health left. If you go back to the nexus, before finishing the level do you lose all the keys to the prison?

White should win... black is always an option, white is not. In particular, I want to get Miralda's armor for my level 11 without having to kill the king...

That red glowing enemy is a black phantom NPC. If that's your first black phantom kill -- and for most people it is -- she'll drop a black eyestone, which you can use when in Soul Form to invade other worlds. You should give it a try.

I like the world tendency events, it's a cool idea.

I wish it were easier to get PWCT. I waited in 2-1 for 20-30 minutes in body form and didn't get invaded once. Figured someone would be farming CDS, LOL.

if you want character tendency thats white, you wait in 3-2, 4-1, or 4-2

those are the most popular invade spots

1-4 is pretty popular, but not as much as the previously mentioned

Hrmph no luck in 4-1 either. I think for Valentine's Day they should have a pure white character tendency event.

Sage Freke teaches you advanced magic spells and gives you Geri's Stiletto (a dagger sized rapier that steals MP from enemies). As for Rydyell (you have the key from 3-2?), well if you get it and free him--he'll give you a 'dull rats ring' (increases defense by 50% when your health is at 30%) and he'll stop his bitching in the cell (best benefit). lol

Thanks for the help. I just beat 3-1 and assuming I'm probably going to go back to 1-3. I guess i only got the key above the idol boss.

Any. If by "good" you mean "easiest", IMO the four easiest are Knight, Temple Knight, Royal, and Priest. But there are no wrong choices. After the first few hours, all characters are pretty much the same. In the late game, you won't even be able to tell what a person's starting class was, everyone has access to all the same stuff. Instead of picking one of the easiest, I say just go with your gut, whatever title you think is cooler or whatever equipment you think looks better.

can the knight use magic? I learned a fire spell, its on the up d pad button but I cant figure out how to cast it. If I cant I'm going to need help with the spider in 2-1. I used arrows on it but doesn't hurt it that much. I'm rank 25.

Arrows are your best bet for the spider, IMO. Side-roll his fire blast, and don't walk forward (which will avoid most of the web). Then it's just a matter of shoot, roll, shoot, roll, shoot, roll... if you've got a weak bow it might take a while, but it shouldn't be a life-threatening fight.

for the spider boss, if you get up against the left wall, half way down the tunnel (yes, half way), his fireblasts can't hit you. the only thing that can is when he shoots webs out of his anus. You can spam arrow him at that point with little recourse

A catalyst (used for casting magic) is at the top of the tower after the first bridge section in 1-2, as stated. Also, FYI, fire spells aren't going to work too well in world 2. You want fire protection there, not fire offense. Water Veil could help against the spider boss, and you'll definitely want it for the next boss.

Getting closer to beating 3-2. Just did all the chains and killed that guy who I let out of the cage. Though I heard a tip, you were supposed to kill him to get armor, but i accidently shoved him off. I died later on and had to run back and his armor pieces were sitting in front of the cage. Does anyone know a way to have a bunch of health pieces cause I always run out.

World 1 seems to be good for farming low level herbs. For example, you could load up 1-2 archstone, then go backwards to where the two blue eyed nights are. You can also farm the fat ministers for mid-level herbs from worlds 1-3, 2-1, or 2-2.

Its best to just farm an area over and over until you have enough souls to purchase the herbs from vendors. I don't know if you have gone through 2-2 yet, but there is an NPC named Patches there that can go to the Nexus. He sells almost all of the herbs for very low prices compared to the other vendors.

For some reason 2-1 was very hard for me, but 3-1 was a sinch. I'm just about to beat 3-2 and I stole all that guys armor that you let out of the cage, and then shoved his body over the edge. :p

But the trick is they are slow. I just sprinted around them in circles till they got confused and did the sword in the back trick. It's only hard when they are in a oneway path. The arrow death machine was pretty cool.

edit: BTW does anyone know where the key is in world 3-2 that unlocks the guy who cries like a baby in 3-1?
