Insane how I get that and no Ghorn...even more insane is Jimmy getting it + his 3rd (or was it 4th?) Hawkmoon on the same week. I also got double drops for the Titan helmet :drool: .

Well gotta level up the Eidolon , convert into Necro and then start using that to DPS Crota from now on =P~

 
Finally all characters are 32 with all of them with the right builds I wanted for each sub-class to boot!
Trying to min/max with the rolls I have so far and it's worked out like almost perfect for me

INT/DIS perfectly set up, only two I have qualms about is Voidwalker Warlock, a lil' too much STR could bump up the DIS and remove some STR from my Body and hope for a INT + DIS roll on my Body
Bladedancer could use a little more DIS but I've been getting more pure 1 stat rolls than shared stat roll on gear
I can survive with Bladedancer @ that # cause it becomes normal again on Gunslinger

No arachnid helmet

I did buy the warlock helmet since i only had the 30 light version, but its nothing i really cared about. I also might upgrade my Truth, im starting to use that more often since it can hold 3 rockets in a clip and 8 total, plus its void so it was good for this weeks nightfall.

 
I think I'm going to upgrade truth as well. Lots of void burn lately...I ended up just going to bed instead of getting back into destiny last night.

That veil is perfect for Crota HM because of the two regen health perks. Plus it looks badass with Glowhoo.

Ummm... actually its my 5th Hawkmoon, but who's counting. I definitely over did it on my prayers and sacrifices to RNGesus.

Not gonna lie, but I really dig the Truth. The aggressive perk is ridiculous, especially in pvp you can deal tons of damage without even pointing right at all.

Yup, I was using Truth before getting my HoC. Good way to DPS Crota

Yeah, being able to hold 8 rockets with the raid boots perk, but the biggest perk is the seeking rockets. if you dont have seeking rockets and crota moves you could miss.

 
First time completed CE normal with my newl lvl 30 Hunter, still glitchy as fuck till we got to Crota himself, only 2 of us had ever done this raid before and we got wiped like 4-5x then two guys leaf, I invited two 32s and we made it with 2 swords got Hunger of Crota some shards, shade but no freaking armor piece for the whole raid :wall:
Btw did you guys see that post on reddit that someone probably from the devs was wearing armors from VoG w 42 lights and Ice Breaker w 365? I guess we gonna upgrade lights lvl too.

Yay, cant wait to level up all the same things for the third time! On the plus side it would be AWESOME to be able to upgrade legendary armor to the highest light. Which would make faction armor, iron banner armor, or old raid armor useful.... and the best part would be not everyone has to look the same!

Almost every lfg group I've been in so far doesn't bother to coordinate beyond "who's doing sword/boomers", so no one knows when to take down Crota's shield, call out what side he's on, isn't running a full 331 loadout, etc.

If you're still having trouble tonight/tomorrow getting him down, I'll throw my hat in the ring with my 31 Sunlock/Hunter (no Gjallarhorn, but my gear is more than sufficient). Though I should add that my checkpoint is actually on Ir Yut/Deathsinger on my Lock, so if you have a regular group that doesn't mind downing her again I'd appreciate that.

Today I wasted like 25 mins to cheese the bridge, even though we clearly explained how it's done, but somehow the intelligence of team players seemed to fail pretty hard. Then Ir Yut was wipe after wipe because the second squad failed to take down Shrieker, or just didn't care to revive instead charged in shooting Ir Yut, I couldn't stand it anymore and leaf.
Well at least a Titan chest made up for all that troubles, just need a helmet and 32 I'm coming for you.

Hey nuclearporkchop, thanks for the help the other night. with NF.

Got a couple of Hard Crota kills in... got energy Word of Crota and Last Word from one and energy from the other. Still looking for my 1st scout rifle. I have one more toon to run thru Crota and Vog so hit me up if you're in the same boat.

And I could really use shards more than energy right now since l've gotten raid armor with better stats (as in actually having Discipline).

Trying to avoid Eris' Pawn Shop in order to avoid glimmer farming, all because...

I decided to upgrade my Warlock's old Veil to the "36" model. Gives me something to equip whenever I turn in bounties.

Finished up Hard Crota on my hunter with an all UK lfg group (bloody hell!) and finally got the shroud of flies from the deathsinger and then my 2nd Word of Crota and my 2nd Truth from Crota. I actually had it in my inventory at the time making it super funny. Not bad at all :)

Still need a full run on my Titan so I'll probably be on LFG tonight again...I think I have the weekly left to do on him as well.

Full Crota Hard on my Titan results: 3rd Fusion Rifle, Materials, Crota dropped 2nd Scout Rifle and...TRUTH AGAIN. Dudes I think this game is rigged.

First week I didn't play any Destiny...Usually hop on for Weeklies at the very least. Finally took some time to play a plethora of other games haha.

I feel like I've got my money's worth for sure. I don't see any value in maxing three characters, so I think I will just mop up the few trophies I am missing and set this game aside until the next expansion. Still very confused why they didn't add more trophies/achievements with the DLC.

 
I think I will stop after I get the crux...maybe...Didnt see one drop on either group today.

I did get enough shards so that all of my raid gear is leveled so I can wear any exotic I want on both characters now. So thats going to give me more freedom to switch things up for each part.

Heh, like I said no problem. I managed to cleared it with some other friends, so it worked out on my end at least. Did you guys make any progress with Crota NM?

I still need to down him 2 times before reset (if i'm lucky) for a shot at Black Hammer/Hunger of Crota, so I'll probably be trying to find a group to do that later tonight/tomorrow depending on if I have time.

They still seemed new to the raid, but I had to leave after a few attempts. I was mainly there to see how much damage the Badger and Truth does against enemies.

Hah, I've lost track of how many Word of Crota and Fang of Ir Yut I've gotten (at least 5-6 of each) but I have yet to get that stupid Hunter cloak. And the Hunter helm. And Hunger of Crota. The stupid crux is the only reason I have to do hard any more. I wish it would just drop so I can move on.
 
I'll be on PS3 for the rest of the evening if anyone happens to be getting a last-minute Crota kill in (or a HM Templar).

Also friendly reminder: If you ranked up in Iron Banner last run, log in BEFORE the reset and hang out in orbit as the reset occurs. As long as you're logged in your IB rank will NOT reset, then just log in a few minutes after 1AM PST so the door to Saladin is open and BAM, buy the weapons.

*edit* your rank will of course reset if you log back out, but still...farm that glimmer while you still have a chance. The weapons should be around the ~12k Glimmer mark.

So iron banner starts tomorrow, and on their page it shows boots and gloves, the two things i dont need for the iron banner set. Wow they really like to make Iron Banner pointless. I thought about getting the whole set, since there might be a long shot chance that we will be able to upgrade legendary armor up to 32 or whatever the new rank is then. I could be wrong, and its just a dream of mine, but it would be cool.

That's what I'm planning to do.  Hope he sells the scout rifle, sniper or heavy machine gun.  I'm on the east coast, having to wake up at 4AM sucks.

Finally scored Black Hammer, though. Our swordbearer was the only guy w/out a mic (also the only 32) and it was pretty intense trying to coordinate with emotes. Fun stuff.

*edit* Wow, Black Hammer from normal and then both primaries from HM back to back.

He does indeed have the Scout Rifle this week @ Rank 5 rep. I thought I had myself all primed to log in and snag it with the "save my rank" exploit....but I mistakenly stayed on thru the reset as my Warlock which was only Rank 4.

Bought the other gun he had, the shotgun instead.

Also Saladin has 36 light lvl boots+gloves this time around, and they only need ascendant mats to hit that.

 
I woke up at 3:20am...stupid brain you couldnt have done that 20 minutes ago! Well looks like I'm headed in for IB all over again. This time I'll clear out those pesky exotic bounties on my titan and get some better looking armor and maybe even a shotgun that I might actually use. I have yet to meet one I like. People are saying the roll the weapons are being sold with is ideal so that is nice.

You are going to to need to level up some more first. I think 26 is the bare minimum for VOG on regular.

Even worse than waking up at 3, waking up at 3:20 for no reason after already being rank 5 from last time. Now I gotta grind for the guns again :(

no, got hit with the "requirement not met" error message when trying to enter the tower. Went to earth patrol then to orbit and lost my rank, even though i didn't log off. I should have went on reddit right away, they found a work around. I woke up at 4AM for nothing, so sad.

 
After a long LONG time away from Destiny I logged in last night before the refresh and finally got some boots to drop for my Warlock after the bridge. Then I see another Iron Banner is starting... and I could've just bought some 36 light boots after some IB grinding. Ugh. Oh well, at least I have two guardians with full raid gear. 

I can't believe Bungie isn't changing anything up with the Iron Banner, almost everything is the same besides the two IB weapons to buy. I don't think they fully thought out the longevity of this first incarnation of Destiny. There's simply not enough to do. I'm rather surprised by the short sided planning.
