Another week where we still need one more person in our group to get the Crux. Everybody else has received two now and we're switching it between characters in hopes that our last guy will finally get one so we can stop hard mode.

Also had a nice recover from a death on the last sword during Crota. I think I'm going to start tallying my clutch saves. I think I'm at about a dozen by now.

Screw the nightfall this week. Did it once and don't really want to do it again because no burn on Omnigul takes too long. Don't really need it anyways, but getting one of my last three needed exotics would be nice.

 
I finally got the warlock helmet from crota and it was intellect and strength. I also got my 2nd chest piece, was hoping for better stats, but it was the same stats.. full strength, but even worse than the first one i had.

I got Plan C for my first nightfall, havent done my other two characters yet.

Legendary engram for me on my frirst NF. Wasn't able to get the weekly, but thats cool. 2 more NFs and 3 weeklies to go, I just hope the Ghorn shows up for me this week =| . Got Crota done once and didn't get anything exciting, another helmet for the Hunter and 3rd Glowhoo, now each character has its own

 
I did almost everything that gives exotic weapons yesterday (just missing atheon on hard) and ended up with a ruin wings, a dragons breath, a patience and time and TWO crux of crota!!! I can't believe this game, still no ghorn and I get the damn crux that I had no interest in two times! Oh well I only hope that the good old atheon gives me the precious ghorn.

Holy hell. I have yet to get one in several Crota hard clears and haven't even seen one drop for any of the 6 people in my last 3-4 hard mode clears. The stupid game has given me at least 4-6 each of Word of Crota and Fang of Ir Yut though.

I did, on the other hand, get TWO Hard Light yesterday (one from Crota, one from Nightfall). I already had one of course.

And I have yet to get Hunger of Crota (did one Normal clear last night and got 2 shards).

I'm going to try and get my raids and possibly nightfall and stuff out of the way tonight and thursday so I can devote the rest of the weekend to iron banner. I figure there isn't much reason to start until the buff gets higher. Maybe I can get one of my truth leveled enough to have aggressive tracking by the time I'm going to join in...

Did CE once, two full normal VoG and then one partial HM VoG + swapping for the exotic chest....and shards + energies for myself as well.

On that HM VoG run, only one person got an Exotic from Atheon.....Vex AND Truth, plus he managed to die right before we finished the first rotation.

Love that RNG.

 
So something odd just happened. Was two-manning Deathsinger, and twice in a row as she went into the liturgy she stopped right next to the main windows (the ones that face Crota's spawn) and she became immune to damage. Actually, not even immune....we weren't even getting hit notifiers, it was as if we were just shooting a wall. She was RIGHT up against the glass or w/e, so maybe it was a clipping issue...but still.

Didn't quite down her, so I have a CP if anyone wants to get in on that tomorrow night.

Two legendary heavy engrams and double exotic drop last night...needless to say none of them was the Ghorn =\ . Still have two more CE runs and gotta beat Atheon 3 times, so there is still some nebbish hope

Did crota up to crota lfg group with slow sword bearer and glitches kept us from downing him last night. Death singer gave me red death so that's cool...nightfall was so long and got a vanguard pistol lol but I did the bounty for not dying during a strike on accident. My titan w armor turned up can take an exploding thrawl or knight sword and survive apparently. Lol at your video 7, we've all been there :)
 
LOL did nightfall on my hunter with LFG group wiped at the same spot for real. Knight came out of nowhere and swiped us both with one swing. Had to laugh about it after seeing it just a little while before. Hunters are soft and squishy.

Got another stupid vanguard weapon...people who sat this weeks out probably have the right idea but I'm sick in the head and kind of like that strike because of the huge number of enemies you get to destory.

Guess I'll hit up IB and then try and get into an lfg group for crota later. Right now its a bunch of singles looking for groups. Too lazy to try and organize them into a group.

I believe that only works with broadcasting, not saving videos via share just to clarify for people.

Share only allows you to record your own voice (if in a PSN party) or the in-game chat (everyone).

Broadcasting allows you to record yours and your party whether or not they're in-game or in-party. However for other voices to show up in the broadcast from your PSN party, I believe they need to go into their party options and select the 'allow self to be recorded' or something along those lines as it's disabled by default.

I haven't actually tested this, but this is the way I believe I've read that it works. Too many places aren't clear enough on a concrete answer on how it works, so that's what I've pieced together without testing it myself. If anyone knows for certain through experience, I'd like to be confirmed or corrected.

EDIT: If broadcasting on twitch, it saves the broadcasts so you can put them on youtube and such too.

Hi everyone.

I'm enjoying the game a lot with my vanilla disc copy, but now that I hit cap I'm starting to run into content that I'm locked out of everywhere. A lot of the daily stuff I can't do...

I guess I'm going to have to shell out for the season pass if I want to keep playing? It's really starting to hamper my enjoyment of the game, which was sky-high up until the last few days.

I'm gonna guess there won't be a sale anytime soon either.

Unfortunately yes if you want to enjoy the game to its fullest, you can actually find someone w same interest and split the cost of Season pass.

Did full run of VoG HM, one of us got Hard Light from Gorgon chest (we opened the "troll" chest earlier). And damn Black Hammer does wonder at Atheon fight, I hit like 19k DPS and during Vengeance time I was able to hit him 9x nonstop and I got Vex Mythocast. Also did full run CE normal and finally got myself a helmet to push me to 32, didn't get any weapon though.
This weeks Nightfall is really trolling me, Legendary engram => 2 energies, previous run was 2 shards :(

Also, anyone else notice a lot more lagging (cheating?) invincible dudes in iron banner this time? Last time I didnt experience any problems and lately if you are on in the afternoon its horrible. I punched one guy five times and did my super and then I died and he skipped off. Seriously bogus.

 
Did another NF and got a legendary engram which turned into 2 energies (thanks again for the no-burn NF, Bungie). I was sooo desperate to get 2 more ascendant energies :fridge:

Did farm the "lucky" chest in VoG and downed Atheon twice... Got another Vex and ships and sparrows.

I would too if I had any more motes.

For some reason, I thought I had more motes spread across my toons but NOPE! Had just enough to buy 2 engrams...

-titan lupi chest with better stats than what Xur was selling

-voidfang vestments that were better than the one I had but not as good as what Xur's selling.

Think I now have all the titan exotics and might have all the warlock exotics except for PraxicFire.

Also loaded up on heavy... each toon has at least 80 synths.

Would have grabbed more (just in case of another drought) but then I'd have maxed out my consumable slots and run into the "disappearing synth" glitch

 
I bought 100 heavy synths for each of my characters.

Also bought 8 chest engrams trying to get the heart of the praxic fire and got....

2 - Voidfang Vestments

2 - Lucky Raspberrys

2 - Crest of Alpha Lupi (Hunter)

2 - Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan)

0 - Heart of the Praxic Fire

Im coming to the conclusion that im never going to get Heart of the Praxic Fire, Fatebringer, or the Monte Carlo. Well i might get the monte carlo once the year long exclusive is over and Xur might sell it.

The only positive to take from this, is that 3 of the chests were 36 light, which i had the old 30 light versions, and 4 of them had better stats than the ones i already had. meh.

Also seriously, Xur selling No Land Beyond? I dont even need any exotic guns Xur would sell but come on! Didnt he sell this gun like twice in the last 4 weeks? Also its a shitty gun. Stop being dicks bungie and give us some stuff we want. I dont understand how many times im going to see some shitty gun and some warlock chest piece that isnt the praxic fire being sold on a weekly basis. Its like bungie loves to troll us.

Last but not least, talking about trolling. I leveled FWC up again and got a shader finally, but it was the same shader i got before from an earlier rank up package. -_-

Played some iron banner tonight and got to rank 3-3/4. So tomorrow ill be able to hit rank 4 and get that shotgun. My question is, are the shotgun perks good, or should i reroll it to get a certain perk? I do like the +2 agility it already has, because being fast is a nice thing to be when you are running around with a shotgun. But i dont even know what perks are out there that would be good for the shotgun.

During my iron banner play i got two ships. I saw someone get the rocket launcher and the hand cannon too. Havent seen anyone get an exotic yet.

reddit thread on each weapon + what available perks it could possibly have. Part of me wants to run IB and get to rank 4/5 on my hunter (my only character who doesn't have the class item), but then another part of me thinks that's a boring stupid idea.

Ib is not as bad as regular crucible. I kind of like it since there is a point to the grind in that you can buy cool stuff, and also an end to the madness. I'm up to 2 3/4 after 5 hours yesterday. The buff gets higher and higher each day so its not too late to jump in if  you have the time especially on sunday/monday. I usually just play each day until I get all the bounties done. Yesterday I completed all 6 IB ones and 5 of the regular Crucible ones. I'm having more fun since I decided not to grind for another Thorn and just use whatever weapons I want. I did complete the crucible part of Request from Ikora in 2 matches and finished two other exotic bounties as well for a second Bad Juju and that silly machine gun exotic that just sprays everywhere...So IB gives me a chance to clear those bounties from my character as well.

It would be rad if on monday I had time to level my Hunter to 4 to get the pants but I figure I'll be sick of it by the time I get my Titan to 5 and claim my armor, skirt, and weapons. I really like the IB armor much better than the Raid gear...I wear my IB gauntlets all the time on my Hunter.

Everyone was excited about the shotgun and scout when they were revealed because they have just about the best perks possible no reroll necessary. I know I have a shotgun that I have to be standing right next to people to use and Ive been shotgunned from across a room and been like WTF. I do enjoy jumping into a titan bubble and using my auto shotty to kill them and pop the bubble, its second only to jumping into a bubble full of people and supering in the bubble.

 
haha...I should reach 4 tonight but might have to go farm some glimmer...after I turned in my bounties I got to 3 and almost a half already.

 
Did Crota on all 3 characters and finally got my Crux after dropping Crota as the sword guy on my hunter. I also got the ship on my titan before that, so I now have every drop from hard mode. I still need a few exotics, I would like to get helmets with the infusion perk for my characters, and I never got the fusion rifle from normal, but I really don't care all that much about any of that stuff. My playing time has already gone way down the past few weeks and it might get even lower now.

 
I'm not sure if I'll really want to brave lfg for a HM Crota kill(s?), since I don't really give a crap about the Crux or Word. Honestly I just want Glowhoo.

So I can feel pretty.

Granted I think that's mostly because I just feel burnt out running through the raids on all 3 characters this week with very little to show for it. Not to mention the awful/tedious NIghtfall/Weekly (wooo got a second Universal Remote...).

I also powered through a bunch of bounties this week and i've almost fully upgraded a set of Scout/Auto-RIfle (for pvp)/elemental primaries + sniper + rocket launchers for all my characters this week...

Still kind of want a HM VoG Templar/Atheon kill for two of my characters, but only for a shot at the random exotic. And I don't even want anything in-particular.

Took 12hrs and 17 mins to get to 5 in IB starting on friday. Didnt even complete all the bounties today before I hit 5. I need to remember to start later because the buff is crazy high today.  Now to farm glimmer to buy guns sometime between now and reset. 

I rerolled my IB rocket launcher drop to get tracking and 3rd eye but it took away the arc damage and I wanted to have an arc rocket dangit...

You could probably get there in less than that depending on how many times you get stuck playing with 26's...why do people play as a 26 when they end the match with 0 kills and 7 deaths???

 
I can 1 shot 27 titans with efrideets spear w/o final round in IB :) Takes last shot w/ FR in regular crucible.

Man if it only had dropped the GHorn rather than the Truth it would have been a perfect loot drop. 4 Cruxes in one kill was pretty sweet. All I need is the Ghorn....come one already!

 
Hit Iron Banner Rank 5 today pretty quickly with the buff. I had just hit 4 last night and then was halfway from 4 to 5 after just 2 matches and 2 bounties turned in this morning. Didn't take much longer to get the rest of the way after that. Overall I got a good haul of goodies. Bought the boots, gloves, the scout rifle, the shotty, and the second shader. (I never bought it during any of the other IBs) I got the rocket launcher and a ship from a simultaneous drop from one match and before that I got Thunderlord. (Which I didn't have the 2.0 version of.) The rocket launcher rolled with good stats (Tripod, Field Scout & 3rd Eye) so I'm probably not even going to re-roll it and the scout rifle has good perks as is. Only one I'm not sure of is the shotty but I'm not a big shotgun guy so I wouldn't even know what perks to try and roll for. Any tips?

Got the iron banner hand cannon yesterday, and got the rocket launcher today. I rerolled it a few times and got a good combo. First its arc, then it has tracking, stability, and when the mag is empty it reloads faster, which will be every time since it only holds one rocket at a time.  So it works out well. I tested it out and it holds 7 rockets max with raid boots. I was worried it would only hold 4 or less, so the fact that i can hold 7 makes it pretty useful since i think all i have is solar or void rocket launchers. :)

PS I need more vault space!

 
Wow, I finally understand the internet's hate fro Hard Mode Crota. Practically everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong for my group.

Swordbearer hiding, disappearing sword, Crota warping to kill our sword guy, Ogre's coming out WAY too soon, warping mobs....

Suffice it to say, we did NOT down him on Hard, though we ALMOST two-sworded him on our 3rd go. But no, the second sword despawned almost immediately after it was made available.

I can confirm the lamps cheese is 100% still working, and completely awesome. 2-manned it w/ my Titan + friend's hunter, I jumped on the lamp while he hid in the boxes in the far-back left. Worked perfectly, quickest nightfall we've done to date.

Yeah for some reason it seems like Crota has been glitching a lot more than usual.

Nightfall i got Titan exotic boots, 3rd Dragons Breath, and some legendary shotgun.

 
Yeah I rerolled my IB rocket to get arc back and also got tracking...I think the other one I'll use adds more ammo per clip...the last one kind of sucks as its recharge grenade, but I was out of motes so oh wells.

I hope arkjay didnt reroll the shotty cause the default build is supposed to be awesome. I havent even leveled it and its the best shotty I've ever used. Hits like a ton of brick and you dont have to be standing one foot from something to use it.

 
Going to orbit and going back into the raid usually fixes most of the problems with the Crota fight in my experience. If I am in a group with a couple glitched runs in a row I usually suggest taking it to orbit. You can also avoid the sword despawning glitch fairly easily. The sword despawning is triggered by explosions. I believe Bungie said it was from cursed thrall, but certain grenades and rockets seem to cause it as well. Just try to avoid having anything explode near the sword after it drops. It's not ideal, but it's all you can really do until it gets fixed. I haven't had problems with the sword despawning since I figured this out. As for the swordbearer hiding, that's not really a glitch and it is easy to avoid. If you go back into the crystal room between swords and have everyone stand up against the glass and fire into it the swordbearer will move right down below the ledge.

I have also found that giving your sword guy host makes a huge difference. People say that Crota glitches and stands up to fast. In my experience that is actually because there is a signal delay between the host and everyone else. Crota will be kneeling on the hosts screen, but he won't be kneeling for a second or 2 on the sword guys screen leading it to look like he stood up early. If you give your sword guy host this doesn't happen.

It's frustrating that Bungie doesn't fix some of these problems, but I have also found that once you know what to do they are not very hard to avoid. Give your sword guy host, go to orbit if there are a lot of glitches, and try not to cause explosions near the sword after it has dropped on the ground. My Crota runs have gone a lot smoother since I started doing these things.

I would also say to know when to cut your losses and move on. I can usually tell pretty quickly whether or not a group is going to be able to pull it off. In groups where I don't think it's going to happen I usually stay for a handful of tries and then politely bow out. If it's glitching constantly and doesn't fix itself after going to orbit I will usually do the same. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and save yourself the agony. It's a 5 minute fight when it goes well. It's not worth beating your head against a wall for hours when it's not going well.
