oh dang! i cant wait to play this game i should get my copy sometimes this week.... i bought my copy of Pearl from cduniverse for $26 after google checkout so hopefully i will get my copy this week depending on how they handle preorders, especially for a game that will likely be in high demand

i imagine as soon as you get in the room with em. Through WIFI as soon as you both connect voice chat starts up.

Yeah the voice chat takes you by surprise as hohez and i found out when I talking on my cell phone when our trade started

PMed the people I added. I'll probably need someone to help me with Alakazam once I get an Abra.
 
I can't believe we can import pokemon from the GBA games by having them in slot 2...that is some pretty nifty love to owners of the previous games.

Are the pokemon you would import actually catchable in this game or only through import?

Sara, aren't starters acquired at level 5? I'd suspect that's hacked.

I've added everyone but Sara and godhates as of now that's posted, I believe (I've PMed those who I add) so I'll add you two later and PM you when I do.
 
Don't all pokemon hatch at LV 1 in this game, its legit its just from japan.

Now I have to start working through this list of friend codes
 
is this really worth getting? I haven't played pokemon since Pokemon Red. But I did enjoy the shit out of that one, played it a ton.
 
I want to trade, but I only have Crapemon. Anyone want to donate an Abra? :D

I heard if you say, not yell "Gotcha" when the pokeballs close, you will more likely than not catch that pokemon. I haven't tried it yet. Probably fake.
 
A BIG REMINDER

Make sure to ADD YOUR LOCATION TO THE GLOBE THING, this way it will show up on other people's globes and things will be cool! A lot of people haven't done this yet and its just country and state its not like you have to give out personal info.

Its a great game, I got the pearl stylus and guide today at gamestop as well as an extra 10% off for buying the guide + game. Someone started a rumor yesterday on another message board that gamestop was selling reserved copies but that was not true.
 
I have everyone added up to this point. Damn have a wasted a ton of time with my ds going while I've been afk today.

If not a new thread should be made, since that was the point of having FCs put in this thread. No one wants to comb through 15 pages of FCs.

I say we give him until tomorrow.

It would definitely make things a lot easier if one thread was devoted to Friend Codes. One FC per post per CAG would make things much more streamlined.

Edit - Judging by the original post, I guess the OP plans on updating it regularly. Looks like that was his plan in the first place.
 
If that's what you want to do, then someone who will update it REGULARLY and stay committed to it should make the thread.

I haven't even ventured to the GTS yet. I guess I will eventually, but I doubt I have anything anyone wants :p

Edit: Wow, only 32 slots for friends? That blows, I already have 8 people registered.
 
btw does anyone happen to have access to the old pokemon/starters? i have all the new starters, though i havent reached the daycare yet to breed them
and i need a ditto for that...i think
 
I got the game this morning (but havent played til just recently) and im a little less than 4 hours into it.

Ill post my friend code up in a little bit...
 
Won't be able to transfer in the old starters until you get the national dex since none of them are antive to shinnoh.

Hah. A Pokemon game dropping in price? That's a good one.

In fact, most *any* DS game seeing a price drop before it disappears is laughable.

Go pick it up at Circuit City, it's $27 or something like that this week. It's worth $35, though, no doubt.

Worth it for sure, but you don't have to pay the full $35.

Yea totally worth it. I played haven't played a Pokemon game since Yellow and this game is awesome. My Nephew also agrees that it's the best DS game he has played.
 
I haven't played a pokemon game since emerald and love the constant grinding that only sorta works in this. I was gonna buy it today and went to the register asking how much it is and the cashier gave me THE weirdest look I have EVER seen so I went and put the game back and decided that if I buy the game it wouldn't be there.(I was at Toys R' Us originally looking for Guitar Hero 2 for the 360) Now with all of you saying that the game is worth it I'll go pick it up for sure. Thanks for the answers guys
