Discuss E3!

Thats what people thought about the PS2 also. Well atleast it was a pain in the ass when it first came out is what was being said online and in a few mags. However we can all tell that changed. I'm sure Sony didn't make the PS3 easyer or any thing like the PS2. I'm sure they found some new way of making it a pain in the ass. Hell BD-J from what I read is a big pain in the ass to program for, for Blurays or atleast it was at one time. HD-i was a lot easyer. However I never delt with programming on any of this stuff so I wouldn't know first hand only the stuff I read.

Also I really don't want to read all the way through this to find out what all was talked about so other then games it was just Facebook and Twitter on the 360 along with some camera that lets you controle the games?
 
So heres my big question. Regardless of if your in the camp that thinks Natal is the second coming or those that thing it was just made to look good but will suck you have to agree MS atleast managed to make it look like it played extremely well. If Sony was planning a new motion sensing tech toy and it doesn't look as impressive what do they do? Do they still show their waggle version or do they pull it from the show?

Personally I think if Sony is planning motion tech stuff and cant atleast come close to showing a Natal level project then they need to pull it from the show and announce it in a few months after Natal hype is down.

Edit - Also what are the announcments you guys are hoping for? Personally im hoping to see

1. FFVI remake for DS finally announced(its the only one left!!)
2. Diablo 3 release date announced for this year(I can dream and still have a hunch!)
3. Sly Cooper 4 finally announced(ok I know I know this is more of a dream then D3 this year)
4. Dark Cloud 3 annouced

Nintendo's is going to be the shortest, so it's probably going to have the most jammed into it (although Microsoft's had a lot, I felt they spent too much time on the Beatles and Natal)

I promise you before that trailer for KZ2 most people remember KillSwitch over KillZone. It's all about the number. New IPs don't sell if you can get any game and put 2 on it the 'consumer' will assume it has a history they've worked out kinks, that it was a good enough game to get a 2 it doesn't matter that this isn't true it's what they think and so any game that can get a sequel will.

Well does it have a full single player expiernce? Maybe since I missed the first minute or two but all I saw was multiplayer stuff which to me is meh. If its got a full single player experience then ya I am ok with it being the same ole same old.
 
yeah they did say that. You can play it in single player ..OR you can call friends over for help.

table tennis probably would work pretty well with M+
basketball and canoeing on the other hand look weak. they just don't translate well.

It didnt look like a full single player camp though. If it is color me excited if not then meh.

On the meh side showing this video of Wii Motion plus thats not showing actual people playing the games = very bad idea.

"Every mistake you make in real life will be faithfully reflected in the game" really? is that how you want to play this? emphasize how annoyingly frustrating real sports are?
 
nintendo needs to use that 3d vision thing that one asian dude came up with where he put the ir senors and wii mote senors in reverse.


nintendo will continue to ignore the hardcore and just produce garbage for their casual fans.

all about the $$$$ printing machine baby not the fans!

Following it up with FF CC was bad too. KH THOUGH IS AWSOME!!! I cant sell my Wii now.....damn!!! Or wait was that KH DS again.....*confused*
 
Johnny Lee did some great things with the Wii mote

wow.. nintendo hate ehh. zero applause all night. FF actually looked decent. though i guess KH news is old at this point

why is Nintendo showing us cool games that have already been showcased. I already know i'm going to buy Mario and Luigi IV

oh. never played Golden Sun but people rave about it. now that deserves some applause.. and there's none.
 
Bout time they showed a new Golden Sun. QUestion is how many people will remember its story well enough if they try and continue where GS1/2 left off?

is anyone ever at the Nintendo conference? it's like a dead world in there.

know whats interesting about the montage.. how few snippets were speaking about the DSi specifically. the DSL is small, multiplayer, portable, lots of games.. none of that was DSi specific

I dont know if that makes me sad or happy....one hand I feel comfortable still selling it the other there is no new KH game.....hmmmm

Seriously though I was hoping this E3 might convince me not to sell it but even having it twilight modded and having access to home brew I dont feel like im getting my moneys worth out of the console.

I know of the DS one with the funny name and KH birth by sleep for PSP but hvnt heard of a Wii one. Man even if Nintendo announced a new Zelda I dont think they can salvage at this point. Iwata feels like he is lecturing us for judging them for releasing too many crap games.....

Edit - Holding Mario Kart Wii up as the game that branched casual to hardcore isnt a good idea since most hardcore gamers feel its the weakest in the series......

these aren't the worst games ever. they're actually some decent games in the conference this year.. the problem is they're games we already knew about. minus golden sun. this year is 10 times better than last year even with the little girl games.

they could salvage with two things Pikmin 3 and a new IP from Miyamoto. i don't know if either one is coming though.

cant have both now for every game, i think only a few games can acheive this like....... LBP or Mario games.

Vitality sensor? seriously? talk about a one hit wonder. i can't even imagine any use for this outside of WiiVitalitySensor:the game

I dont think even a new Zelda would. I mean seriously its the same stuff we already knew of minus Golden Sun and the mario game which is questionable. Unless we see 3 big titles I just dont see it being a worthy showing at this point...and even if it is they paced this horribly.

Yay!! A real Mario game!!!
 
oh hecky naw I was right? i thought for sure it would never happen. and you can ride Yoshi!!! that's how you make a hit right that.. that goes a long way towards redeeming this show.
