Sigh, this is gonna make me go to EB on a daily basis....

EVERYDAY THEIR MORNING UPDATES WILL DROP A GAME TO $10!!!!

Usually this price drop will last for 1 day...USED Will be reduced to $4.89 on most cases...

$10 for Uncharted? If true, that is a deal. But why isn't Folklore, Ace Combat 6 or Skate up for cheap yet? =( Those are the real games I'm waiting for =P

I was at EBGames and didn't see Uncharted with the red sticker there, unless they put it out near closing, but I'm good friends with my EB Manager and she told me that only Motorstorm was down in price. She said that EB doesn't know the DOTD, until the night after closing, as it isn't advertised on there Massive Game Sale flyer. Still, she gave me a tip to literally camp out at EB the next 2 weeks, as there could be surprise "quality" game for cheap. I'm hoping it's SSBB, Fire Emblem, Super Paper Mario, MP8, Resistance, etc as I'm loving the sales :p

I don't know how many more cheap games I can take. If No More Heroes, Galaxy, Paper Mario, and others go on sale I'll have to rip up my credit card.

Does FS and BB PM work with these one day deals? If so what do I do (sorry never did a PM b4), just go in ask for the game and tell them to call the eb doing the deal? Also is the MP3 wii 9.89 deal still going on at some EBs? (in toronto)
 
If they have the game in stock at EB when you PM at FS/BB or something, since they'll have to call EB and confirm. Just make sure they call to confirm that the sale isn't a clearance sale, that's how I was able to PM. YMMV on whether or not you get the 10% difference though (I didn't get it).
 
Um to the DQM Joker dude.
I got it BNIB from future shop and the saran wrap was very flimsy. Its because of the lameass french instruction booklet rules.

I think it's 'cause we're in a bilingual country so they need to slap on a French booklet for Quebec, even though the game's all in english.

So were these one day deals? And are there any more in sight? I picked up all the $10 ones already (delicious delicious games to play :)) and I'm wondering if I need to be ready for another shitstorm.
 
I'd LOVE for Folklore to be 9.89. Its really the only PS3 exclusive that I have interest in thats out now (I have Ratchet, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, etc.)

I'd also love for DMC4 of Dynasty Warriors 6 to go to 10, but I can't imagine it would happen for DMC4.
 
When doing a PM with BB/FS do they choose whichever EB they wanna call, or do I just provide them with the number of one. I ask just because some are of stock and some others are a-holes and not telling me what titles are on for sale "just come down and check it out"
 
nothing. I don't think they put anything new out on Saturday/Sunday.

If anything we may have found future deals scanning in for their new prices.

If I could garner a guess as to why I'd say EB HQ is only open monday-friday. So if there are new deals expect them tomorrow.


I don't know about the rest of the list but Motorstorm is still 9.89.
 
Yeah the clerk yesterday told me they usually get the price drops right before close on Mon-Fri and not on the weekend. Wishful thinking, obviously want to make sure we won't miss out on any deals today, I missed a copy of WWE 08 but got New Blood, BW2 and Motorstorm so far.
 
Yeah just called a diff eb.

Tomorrow more price changes. Weekends are busy enough without a new promotion. Also Jam Sessions is still 5$. I'm gonna go grab myself (well acually my sister) Jam Sessions so I'll be back later.

So far from this I've gotten SC legends, Prime 3, B wars 2(which I actually don't care much for so might put it up for trade) and a new copy of trauma center to replace my nonbooklet 2 for 40 one.(Traded that one into blockbuster for 20$)

Also pricematched at future shop DQM joker just to see if I could and got it for a buck fifty.

honestly, dont price match man. i did and i regret it. it the worse thing to do, no matter who the manager, is you are gonna get harrass and get treated like a criminal. and i went, yesterday and try to get motorstorm pm, big mistake. the manager, wanted to speak to me or should i say harrass me. he question me worse than a cop, even asked me for my drivers license, telephone #, and address, and asked me, if i know someone who works at eb, and asked how do i know about the game, being on sale for $9.99. after that i told him, to forget, i dont need this, and i left the store. but before i left, i heard him telling one guy that works there, to change and go to eb, as a costumer, and find out what the hell is going on at eb, why the prices are so low. i also heard, fs and bb, are claiming that eb are not honest and their games are not new. they claim, eb sells, refurbished games as new and they do their own sealing.
 
:roll: you have to love how FS treats their own customers like criminals, it's disgusting. I would have just told the guy flat out, it's your own store policy so match it or else you'll be calling head office.

I don't get why they get all pissed off to begin with, it's a video game, not a LCD TV. It's a 50 buck difference sometimes, oh no!! Whatever shall we do??? If a FS employee harasses just make sure you bring in a receipt from EB and remind them it's a sale they have going on, not a clearance. If they give you anymore hassle remind them you are their customer and they are expect to serve you.

You need to file a complaint to head office about this, and make sure you use the manager's name in your email. Be very specific about the location and date. This is not proper behaviour from a manager and he should get in trouble for it.
 
Aren't the $10 Motorstorm games previously played? That's what I understood from this thread.

Even if new, could they be already opened? I would guess that FS and BB could start to take issue with this, since they sell their games sealed.
 
LOL, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE LAST GUY(imcrazy) I WORK IN RETAIL N RCCP1977 SHOULD OF GOTTEN THE GAME FOR THE DISCOUNT. PEOPLE JUST NEED TO SPEAK UP, ITS A SIMPLE AS THAT. N WAT THAT FS EMPLOYEE DID WAS NOT THE PROPER WAY TO HELP A CUSTUMER.
 
Motorstorm is/was 10 bucks for both new and used. The copy I got was the last "new" copy and was sealed with the sticker but if they had new sealed copies that's what I would have received.
 
i agree too, but nowadays you really cant argue anymore. anything you say, could get you into trouble, man. everyone , think they got their own personal army, and if you upset them, all they do is call the cops to kick you out of the store, i know it wasnt like this before, like 10 years ago, but now forget. you cant argue, you cant tell them anything, thats why i dont bother to speak up. why do you think all this big companies hire, heartless managers. not every manager is like that, but it feels like 9/10, are heartless and dont care about costumes anymore, all they care is about making money and looking good to their boss,.
 
both new and used motorstorm is 9.89/9.99 respectively. Get 1$ off with edge card and most games they take in are in pretty good condition. I just got a new one because they didn't have used.

Also, on note of the futureshop pm'ing, whenever i pm stuff i go up to the nicest looking girl at cash, show her my reciept/flyer/proof (dont ask them to call, its just a waste of time). I've never once had to deal with a manager, and the girl just simply says "i can give it to you for (their price + 10% diff) is that okay?" if you're getting asked for your drivers license, leave the store, you shouldn't be inquried like a criminal to get a price match.

That's funny, I've had FS sell me a used DVDROM drive as new. I found out after I installed it because it had a CDR in the drive that had PORN VIDEOS written on it. My dad knew someone who bought a PC at Futureshop and got home, it was full of someone else's files. She called the person whose files were on the computer and he said he had returned it to FS because it didn't work right. They give me a hard time whenever I try to get a price match there so I've stopped shopping at Futureshop. Even if I have the store flyer in my hand they will spend 10 minutes on the phone and consulting with the manager, and sometimes even come back and say they won't do it. When I leave without purchasing the item they look surprised.

i feel you man, is all about money, if you pay full price they treat you like a god, if you try to pm, they treat you like a criminal. sad but true, the more money they make out of you, the more they like you
 
I remember one time at Future Shop when Best Buy had Halo 2 on for $20 (when Halo 2 came out for PC), I went up with 2 copies and I just said, 'Best Buy has this game for $20.' She didn't even say anything and just put the prices in as $20. I managed to go on without that $4 :)
 
Just an update on some prices
Drake's Uncharted went back up YMMV
I went to 2 EB Game's, the first had it regular price, the second had it for $9.99 still, but they only had one copy left. When he went to fetch the disk he realized it was in the defective pile and so he wouldn't let me buy it. Too bad too, since this was the first game I truly wanted at this sale.

Also TC New Blood, BWii, and Soul Calibur Legends are still $9.99 and all have a trade in value of over $8.
If you want to pull a hoardish move, you can get MGS4 for $30+tax using these games.
 
I'm calling your bluffs guys, I went to EB yesterday and a friend who works there keeps me informed on all the deals. UNCharted wasn't on the list yesterday and it's not on the list today. Either this is a very YMMV or someone's spewing a load of crap.

There are also numerous postings on RFD stating that nobody there found them.
 
If I were a betting man, I'd say Forza 2, Marvel UA, or GRAW would get cheaper soon. Could explain why their TIVs are still so high. Plus EB must be swimming in used copies.

Would be nice to get legitimate proof on deals, I'm not saying UNcharted deal didn't exist, just seems very sketchy since people directly called (myself included) and it was not on sale yesterday or today.

I hope not for any of those games, I'd like to see Contact, No More Heroes, Dragon Quest Swords and possibly some PSP titles dip down to 9.99 for a day. Forza and Ultimate Alliance can already be found for very cheap, what's the point?

I actually haven't seen many of these games at my local EB.

Assassin's Creed, Darkness and BioShock all take up a good part of the shelves.
 
Been around to like 4 EBs today, none had Uncharted for $10. Even went to my regular EB and asked the manager there, he said it has never been at $10. Maybe some stores are doing it preemptively, and it will be $10 soon, maybe even tomorrow? Who knows, all for sure I can say is that it is not $10 now at any of the Kitchener/Waterloo EBs in Ontario.
 
Tried to pricematch at Queensway Best Buy Motorstorm. They basivcally gave me 10 different fake reasons. Of which I asked for the full document on pricematching and then they'd make up a new reason.

Anyway I got their names called head office and I'll see what happens. I filed a official complaint about the two people who did this to me.

Wasted like 30 minutes of my time too.
 
I went and got DQM:J today, it was wrapped, but a gutted copy (so he had to unwrap it to put the game in xD I don't get why they would wrap it up in the first place , but it didn't have those stupid stickers that leave residue on the case itself so I didn't care). When the guy was putting the book into the case he crumpled some of the front/back covers because he was rushing. But there was no one in line behind me, why was he rushing? Such a simple thing could have been avoided. Maybe I'm just a picky person. =/

Still happy about getting the game for 5 bucks though! I was going to try pricematching, but after all the things I've read from you guys, I'd rather avoid the hassle.

It would be nice to have this by system and then price and having the done deals crossed off so we know what's available and what isn't.
 
Definitely a good idea Locke. As grateful as I am to Gamer 602 for making the thread in the first place, it seems like the lack of updates on pricing changes are confusing a lot of people. Also, some prices were never correct in the first place. (For example, both I and another person pointed out Master of Illusion for the DS is $10 and not $5.)
 
The topic title has one full price game (uncharted) and one 29.99 game(riders)



I'll give gamer till tomorrow morning when I call eb to see whats new to get this back on track. If not I'll make a new topic.
