When did they have Nier for 10$? I've always seen it for 20$.
During one of their Deal of the Day.

Anyways, I also saw that the PlayStation 3DTV was $399.99 at EB. I asked the guy and he said it was for today-only (Dec 3rd). If it's still $399.99, I might do some trade-ins for it.

That Playstation TV is really sweet but I wish they had a bigger model. Perfect for a dorm though. $399 seems like a really good price for it.

Looks like it's still $399.99. I'm thinking about buying it, but after reading some reviews, it doesn't sound too hot. The thing is still great for gaming and 3D, but there's a number of quirks. It only ships with a single pair of 3D glasses, it has no composite input (what little TV I watch is still in SD) and it doesn't come with a remote.

I bought it for $499 and it's an amazing display.

With that said, I bought it to use as a HDTV so no composite is not a problem for me, I have component for that.

The single pair of 3D glasses is ok because I will use it for 3D games / movies, not for the simulview nor will there be a 2nd person to view 3D content.

No remote does suck. I have heard you can just use the PS3 remote with it, I just haven't tried it yet, I just happened to be out of batteries.

I wish I knew that would be dropping it so soon I would rather have saved $100 then the free copy of Resistance 3 that came with it. Of note, you still also get Uncharted 3 with the display until December 10, so at $399 with 2 games, hdmi cable, a pair of glasses is a great price imo.

In some reviews I read that motion blur was a problem and that because it's native is 1080p some games look like crap at times on it (Uncharted 3 was one example) because of it upscaling.

It would be great to know from someone who has some hands on experience instead of a website.

I'm in for Red Faction if it's at 10-20, Homefront at 10, Metroid at 10-20, and LOTR at 30 or less.
Personally, I prefer the matte finish of the DSi. It certainly looks and feels better than DSL (and 3DS). Granted, it doesn't play GBA games, but whatever.
I needed a DSL because I still have quite a few GBA games in my backlog, so a DSi was out of the question for me. Tales of Phantasia, FFV, Summon Night 1 & 2, and more.... Still so much I have to get to!

I did pick up a metallic rose DS Lite. I didn't realize you needed to print out the coupon to get it for the $79 price. I wish the email was more clear about that. It said ask instore for more details, so I went to a store, and the associate didn't even know about it. He was really nice and figured everything out, but I was told that I needed to go home and print out the coupon. xD. I thought it was a code for online or something, the thought of it being a coupon never occurred to me, so I ended up going back the next day to get it. I'm going to hold out on playing it for a few weeks in case a better deal happens to show up though.

Ya know, I don't really get why people hated on X-Men Destiny so much. Was it worth $59.99? Hell no. But I've definitely gotten $19.08 (go go gadget price matching!) worth of enjoyment out of it.

It's an easy platinum too, for all your trophy/achievement hunters out there. It's a solid rental for sure, and if it ever gets that cheap again I'd definitely recommend a buy if you're a Marvel fan.

But oh man is Aimi's voice actress ever terrible. Jamie Chung, please stop trying to act. You're not good at it.

Highly warn against ANYONE getting MJ Experience, even at 9.99 you'll want your money back.

I'd grab LOTR for $20 I think. Definitely Driver at $20.

I think X-Men for $20 was probably a good deal. Ultimately, I decided that in a month or 2, $20 or less, will be the regular price and I'll grab it then. People rag on that game hard, but I'm sure it can't be that bad.

I'm a trophy hunter but i couldn't bring myself to buy the game, at the beginning of 2011 i said to myself I'll not buy a game just cause it has a easy platinum. tho a few months back i went against my word and bought DAMNATION from BBV Closing I Platinumed it but it was a god awful and i still feel i paid too much for it even tho it was less then $20, is Xmen better then DAMNATION yea probably no question about it but i just didn't really had any interest in the game when i read up on the info of it ... some of it sounds good but the game play i hear is terrible and i dunno if i would get enjoyment out of if.

but i am with you tho when you say Red Faction and Driver $10 - $20 but Homefront for $10 ... maybe i just am not sure yet as the game doesn't interest me a whole lot.

The gameplay definitely isn't terrible. It's actually a fairly solid (though extremely generic) third person action game. The X-Gene system doesn't really add a whole lot to it, and the Energy Projection power set is completely useless cause you end up without any kind of melee attack at all, but otherwise, it's not bad at all.

ugh. kinda makes me wish i bought it now .. but then i think Boxing Day sales may lead to better games. but for what you say i'll buy it some day down the road

Your Welcome JamesSoprano.
More than happy to help out.:applause:

not sure if i want it ... apart of me says yea i want it BUT, only cause it's a cheaper price and never really had interest towards the title at all but if i buy it i will probably feel I'll think it's a O.K game then a this game sucks so i'm not really sure.

ugh and the same is with this on Driver ( i have no interest in it cause i never played a driver as enjoyable as the first one ) unless someone here has played it and wanna shed some light on their thought's of Driver: San Fransisco

I currently own 4 Dell monitors and 2 Samsung tvs throughout the house and the Sony display is by far the best looking. I played through UC3 and I only noticed a slight motion blur. It was nothing that detracted from the overall experience. In fact the only reason I thought of it was because you mentioned it.

I believe most places (Futureshop & EB) have 3D display demos setup. Just ask to see a game in motion, not that looped video they have.

i decided earlier i'm gonna pass on it then buy it. homefront i may just pass on as well as i don't have much interest in it at all.
Yeah I'm gonna pass on Red Faction.

If Homefront is $10 tomorrow I may get on that though.
I just finished Red Faction over the weekend from Gameaccess. It was fun, but very short. I think I finished the campaign in under 7 hours on hard. Definitely lost a lot going from sandbox to linear shooter. Probably only worth $20 if you like horde/surival modes and/or easy-ish achievements/trophies.

Homefront is a very easy FPS more arcade style than anything else. Not many people on the servers makes finding matches harder. This game is fast but watch out for campers. Like in the BF series there's lots of campers and noobs get spawn killed very easily.
High spots for sniping is abundent in many maps.

I loved the MP demo. Give it a try if it's still around, and you are on the fence.

I'll seriously consider Homefront tomorrow if it hits the $10 lucky spot. The first Driver was good, the rest were meh. No interest in San Fran.

I hate playing multiplayer, so campers don't really bother me. Camp on, campy!

$10 seems like a fair price for a five hour campaign. It's only a couple bucks more than renting, and I can always trade it in and get a few bucks back anyway.

Today's Deal

TRON
360 $9.89
PS3 $29.99 (really?)

TRON CE
$19.89 (Both 360 and PS3)

Epic Mickey CE Wii
$19.89

I'll change the title but don't flame me if it's wrong. It was supposed to be Homefront.
I guess I'll get it next time:)

The reviews of the Collector's Edition for both games aren't good. The quality of Mickey and the lightcycle are pretty crummy.
The reviews of the Collector's Edition for both games aren't good. The quality of Mickey and the lightcycle are pretty crummy.
If that is so I'll just return it, no biggie.

Two changes to today's doorcrashers.

1: Updated lower price on PS3 version of Tron Evolution from $29.99 to $9.99

2: They added one more game. Kinect Disneyland adventures $49.99

The TRON CE is horrible. Watch a couple of YouTube unboxings. I'm just going to be picking up a regular version today, the game is actually pretty decent.

Considering the TRON Legacy CE came out at $130, I think it's worth it. I mean the figure isn't of amazing quality, but for $10, I'll move over my Drake and Cole statues for the Light Cycle. :) Epic Mickey CE doesn't look too bad either. I'm going to try and swing by, and grab both.

I'm actually quite liking these door crashers. Today's has been the best yet, though I was looking forward to Homefront. :(
