From what I've read the big guy's AI is useless, but if you control him and let the AI take the elf chick it's actually not bad.

Should I pick up Space Marine?

Since Skyrim came out, I hardly feel like playing any other game. But Space Marine does look rad and it's a local developer, so I feel like I should support it.
 
I know I said I was re-invigorated a couple days ago when I learned the deals would continue until Christmas Eve, but these deals haven't been spectacular (in fact, I haven't picked any of them up).

Today's deal is the worst yet, $5 discounts. I was hoping for deals on Portal 2, Dirt 3, Catherine, Shadows of the Damned, MvC3, etc. Games that came out earlier this year that were a little quirky, didn't have such mass appeal (exception being Portal 2).

I wouldn't hold your breathe for any of those games, the only one i see making the list you posted was Shadows of the Damned.
 
I feel like MvC3 would be more likely, seeing as Ultimate MvC3 just came out and not many people are going to spring for an outdated version of the game.

The games they choose should all be HomeFront-like, came out earlier this year, marginally successful, especially if the studio has already closed down.

I don't have my eye on Shadows Of The Damned at all so i really don't know it's original price but i saw it for a rollback price at Walmart yesterday for $29.99 from $39.99
 
Shadows is well worth $29.99 IMO. I picked it up at launch and platinumed it within a week to a week and a half since I played it so much. If you like trippy, oddball games with loads of personality (or just Suda's games in general), then this one is a no brainer.

And yeah, today's deal is really lame. They essentially lowered the price of new copies to what you could pick up used copies for over the past couple of weeks now. I would have bitten on Hunted if it had hit $10, but will probably pass for now (unless preowned copies are $10 in store, since they're not listed on EB's site).

I dunno i was doing not so good in it. the difficulty on EASY threw me off. it even gave a friend of mine problems as well. ( again Demo )
 
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't think the demo did a good job of explaining how health worked... felt like I figured it out on my own.
 
I think these are only stereo. You might as well spring for headphones that have surround sound for a bit more.
 
As someone that has had dozens of these headsets ranging between $50 and $300, there is not a HUGE difference between amplified stereo and surround sound headsets. You can still hear directional sound in the amplified headsets.

You might want to edit that post, there is no Gears trilogy, its the triple pack that will be on sale which is Gears 1, 2 and some DLC for 2

I texted my boyfriend the code and ebgames wouldn't accept it. They needed something to attach to their copy of the receipt. Sigh I will try with printouts from facebook and twitter.
 
oh god.... todays deal is World Of Warcraft ... as popular as that game is i refuse to get my soul sucked by that game. that and i never found those games appealing but i did buy DCUO * i was in the beta and loved it * ( really to be honest i'm sureprised that's not lowered down in price )

anyways .... PASS dear god PASS ! and were getting closer to seeing more boxing day flyers !

I posted at the other site that I thought today was WOW Battlechest because it was the next in the list at 645. I don't know for sure if it is.
Price from the old deal is still up and there's no price drop on the new link.
We'll have to wait and see because tonight is the release of SWOR

Track down a copy of Motion Explosion for Kinect instead. It is *far* better than twister.... 12 games, some quite different from what you usually find with Kinect titles.
Lots of variety, and lots of fun.

This is, of course, a totally unbiased opinion..... :)

Resistance Duel pack for $9.99 is a great price i urge people who are getting a PS3 really soon or just got a PS3 as of recent to get this pack. I happened to like both games tho alot of hate was towards the 2nd one but i still found it fun too play. and the story i thought was still good as well.

I thought about Homefront at $10, but passed. I will really give this LA Noire deal some thought today. I've always been interested in playing it once the the hype died down and an edition with all the dlc came out. This is the right price point.
 
30$ for LA Noire is closer to what I want to pay for it, but I keep hearing bad things.... that it's a totally underwhelming game with broken gameplay.

Oh really? It got mostly excellent reviews. I haven't played that far into it, but I found it to be quite unique and interesting, and the facial animation is phenomenal.
 
Tomorrow's deal is Sonic Generations for $29.99 (x360/ps3). Good if you were planning on getting it for Boxing Day as BB listed $29.99 for it's Boxing Day price.

For what it's worth, I platinum'd the game, I enjoyed every minute of it, and on various 2011 award threads across the online gaming community, I, along with others, voted it the one game you should play this year, if anything. It's an experience unlike any other you've yet to play and see, I guarantee you that.

I picked up LA Noire. Had zero interest in buying it at $60 when it first came out. Season pass, eventual dlc, ridiculous hype train, but I couldn't pass up the complete edition at $30.
 
LA Noire isn't for everyone. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the story or protagonist, but the setting (a breathtaking recreation of late-1940s LA), facial animation and gameplay won me over. I payed $60 at release and enjoyed it all the way through. I never did buy that DLC, reviews were underwhelming. Oh, and do remember that the PS3 edition has an extra case (which is coincidentally one of my favourite).

Sonic at $30 sounds pretty fantastic...
 
I was hyped for LA Noire. Kind of reminds me of Heavy Rain, but without the completely stupid twist. At first I was blown away by the facial animation and how grounded in reality the game is. But after the first two chapters, I realized how dull and repetitive the game is. You start seeing the quirks of the game system and it not longer felt as if I was solving a case, but just hitting the correct in-game flags. The main character is a total jerk. It just wasn't much fun, especially the way things just falls into place and how you're forced into convicting people. The ending is such a cliche, I wanted to gag.
