FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?

Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.
Will that come with the Guitar? There are still six in stock.

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/257935.asp
If mine isn't minty in original packaging . . . its going back.

I'm guessing these early ones (as with many PO games nearest release) are from people who just didn't get into it . . . so they are hardly used.

For $30 of my store credit, its worth trying.
You might want to try Tiger Wood's PGA Tour. I suprised at the quality of the game. You can find it for less than ten bucks, so you dont have much to lose.

And if any of you are bored waiting for the update tomorrow, ya might wanna read this:

Good blog. Will visit regularly.

just called ebgames and the csr thinks guitar hero should ship with a controller. nothing is for certain, so just keep those receipts handy if all you get is the game.
There was a big DS update . . . was up to 26 games (from 6 or 8). Castlevania still in stock.
Tempted on Castlevania, but I'm holding out hope it will get restocked at my BB for 19.99 a/c.

Handy? I don't think I'll be misplacing the receipt as I place the blatantly misadvertised item in my car to drive it to EB.

I guess they could have some tradeins of the game where someone just wanted an extra controller but only a stupid clerk would accept it. And I find it hard to believe that EB would list them.

Still 3 in stock.
Contra Hard Corps on the Genesis isn't too shabby either.
Yes, Hard Corps is sweet. I got my copy for $1.99 at GameCrazy.

The old schoolers are definitely the best but Neo is worth playing . . . way too short but worth playing.
*sighs* The one day I sleep in two light gun games come in stock for PS1. Does anyone know how much Point Blank 2/3 were?
I think Point Blank 2 was $2.99.
Point Blank 3 was definitely $5.99.

This may be a stupid question, but can I use a PS2 Guncon 2 for PS1 games? I haven't used a light gun since the NES Zapper/SMS Light Phaser days.
how much was sprung anyone now.
Now I cant remember if it was $12.99 or $9.99, im thinkin 9.99. After cag15 and edge, a great price on a good game.
Well, I guess I got the last Guitar Hero.
Here's to hoping that it includes the guitar controller!
I grabbed two of the Guitar plus game to get the second controller (cheaper this way after the Best Buy coupon) so I needed to sell one copy of the game. EB would not take the game without the controller. GameStop would.

Based on this, it should be the controller plus game.
How much was Guitar Hero before codes? I may have to start getting my cheap ass out of bed early.
$39.99

It was little over $35 shipped for me after CAG15 and SAVER (no Edge card here)

I picked up a thousand arms also, they must have had a few copies? I ordered another vagrant story also because the last oen i got wouldn't work, is there a compatibility problem with Vagrant story and the ps2? i've never had an unscratched ps1 game not work in ps2 before. No luck on getting a Grandia or Valkerie Profile yet. I think i want both parasite eve's also but i haven't made up my mind yet.

$31.61 shipped for me (after codes and with taxes) . . . that's about $10-15 out of pocket (worth of games) from the old GT4 trade-in deal.

I'll try Guitar Hero for $15 :)

Dont hate tha playa, hate the game! Besides, I thought it was a good game so :booty:

The first PE was excellent. The second....not so much. I'd recommend the first one.

It's just a demo disc I still have one from way back (I think I got it in the mail). It's not the whole game and it's just a matter of someone trading in the demo, disc only and a clerk at EBgames thinking it's the whole game.

It's not a sure thing you'll get the demo it's a YMMV from if the warehouse gets demos filtered up to them from a clerk accepting the demo as a trade-in.

I checked my account and Guitar Hero shipped via the USPS. Don't they usually use UPS or FedEx for large boxes?
I hope this doesn't mean this is game only!

dang it. missed out on guitar hero AND thousand arms : (

when i ordered the tekken 5 arcade bundle, it came through USPS. So there is still hope that it includes the guitar also.

good to know, thank you.

Yessss! My Front Mission 3 finally shipped and I ordered it December 10th! :D Now I just gotta wait 7-10 days for it to get here.... :'(

I don't have a good feeling about Guitar Hero. Clicking on the original link, it takes you to a page titled "Guitar Hero." If you search for "Guitar Hero" on the ebgames website, it takes you to a page titled "Guitar Hero Bundle."

On the other hand, the price was still $79.99 for a new Guitar Hero this morning on the original page, so I'm thoroughly confused. If it's not the bundle, back to ebgames it goes.

In addition to the new "Guitar Hero Bundle" page, this appears at the bottom--

"Due to the size and weight of this item, an additional handling charge of $5.00 will be added to your order."

I didn't see that at all on the page this morning, meaning that I probably just bought the non-bundle version earlier today. Damn EBGames.

Yeah, I'm more uneasy about it than I was this morning.

Also, both of listings (separate pages) for new copies of "Guitar Hero" and "Guitar Hero Bundle" were OOS and (for me) both were instock at the same stores.

I have a feeling we are getting games without guitars . . . some quick moving smartasses (probably employees) likely traded in extra copies of the game in order to keep the extra guitar . . .

I guess time will tell.

Well, I'll be pretty pissed if there's no guitar. The new version was on the same page listed as $79.99, so that was extremely misleading. Add to that the poster earlier who called and had an employee tell him that the game will probably ship with the controller, and you've got an unhappy customer.
