I must be one of the few who actually wants Soul Cal 5. Even though I didn't care too much for 4, I'm a big Soul Cal fan and will be buying this at a midnight release. Several friends are also getting it but its not getting the hype it probably deserves.

I think Ono is right. People are going to grind against it, but I don't think Ono is stupid. He'll come up with something that makes sense without losing what makes fighters good now. I feel gems were his toe in the lake thing with it. I'd be perfectly fine if he implements it more in Darkstalkers.

also, sucks Soul Calibur 5 comes out on my Bday... I dont know why it sucks. Weird thing is that I have had near zero info on this game, which I'm glad.

it's like racing, where you can customize your car and stuff so there's both a mechanical requirement and a driving requirement

of course i don't like the fact that "i bought a $5k muffler and you only have the stock one so i automatically win" but it could turn out to be something interesting

There's a midnight release at a local lan center that supports the fgc here really well, so I'll probably go to that and get it for 360.



I just hope they patch out that stupid autoblock/jump option select soon.

the way i've seen my bro and his friend practice safe jumps is to record the safe jump setup (for example, ken's combo into sweep, then safe jump), then play the other person and try to reversal out of the safe jump.
