How much are you paying for Melty Blood. I was thinking about picking up a copy.

And you're talking about Asura from SamSho64 right? I'm also baffled why they never included him & Shiki into the main series yet. They seem to be fan favorites, due to their emo behavior. I also want to see more of the guy that fights with a giant paint brush. But you can't go wrong with Tenka, I like it more than SamSho 2.
Yea, Asura, that's him. Him and Shiki are awesome in NGBC, and two of my favorite characters - I also loved Shiki a ton in SNK Vs Capcom.

It is weird that they put everyone in Tenka *except* for the fan favorites

Melty Blood is $59.90 from Play-Asia, but with a $10 coupon it ends up only costing $49.90. I've got an extra coupon from a friend who did the Strikebang thing, but just decided it was cheaper to get his game from Yesasia since he only wanted one thing that was something like $43.

After this and the 21st, the only imports I have left to get fighting game wise is KoF XI, Fist of the North Star, Fatal Fury Battle Archives 2, KoF NESTS, and the stuff as it comes out.

But I'm a patient guy, and I know the latter three, at least KoF and FotNS are going to go The Best eventually, so I can wait.

I keep hoping Play-Asia will have a summer sale.

As Asian would say, I'm getting a hell of a lot of fighters =O I just have to run the Melty Blood / Tenka combo with my gf first.. she already knows about The Best games I'm already getting, and it's smart to ok things with her so she feels like she's still in the loop. Luckily, for now at least, she's ok with my buying whatever because I already sold so much of my stuff.
That DLC sounds pretty cool. I hope it comes to the US
it has no reason not too. 360's bggest market is the US and the game has been released over here too. The only thing is that the content costs more than the game itself at this point.

happy b-day Apossum... here's a pic to make you happy

for everyone:

fucking read this... respect

Wow, what sucks is that after reading that article, Capcom easily has enough stuff to do Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 3, but probably never will.

There are at least 5 or 6 games in that article alone that never got a home port (that aren't licensed) that look awesome, and I can think of one more - Red Earth / Warzard.

Battle Circuit needs/must have a US release.
Battle Circuit needs/must have a US release.
I say this is a good start for Capcom Classics Vol. 3:

Cyberbots
Armored Warriors
Battle Circuit
Final Fight 2 and 3 (console releases, but so were the GnG games)
Dynasty Wars
Warriors of Fate
Red Earth
fuck, throw in some Street Fighter 3 games, might as well

Instead, we got shit like King of the Dragons which gets incredibly boring after 10 minutes.

I'm sure Capcom could take this list, that's about 8 or 9 games right there, and dig around and throw some other games in there too.

I didn't really dig CCC 1 or 2, most of the games were kind of boring, but this shit I'd buy in an instant cause the majority of it is Capcom's great stuff when they really refined their craft.

on top of that if they really wanted, they have enough space for their N64 and Dreamcast titles.

Well, I'm trying to keep it with the arcade theme they seem to have had running, but since they allowed the SNES + Genesis versions of GnG, might as well put Final Fight 2 + 3 on there.

Too bad we'll never see a third one =/

Just like we'll never see any of the remade Sega Ages games, like Dragon Force or Phantasy Star 2 - that's another tragedy in and of itself.

So wait, why do we know there's no CCC Vol. 3 coming out? I hope it's not so they can whore that shit out for $5-10 per game on XBLA. fuck DLC.

They would have announced it by now, I'm guessing.

Same reason we'll never see a Sega Collection Vol. 2.

Thanks for the wishes guys :) and I am kinda drunk right now. Drunk and trying to find a decent copy of Rival Schools to impulse buy, but it's nowhere to be found. hopefully foundation will come through with his.

Awwww, really? I like King of Dragons, but like most beat em' ups after one playthrough you can shelf it for 5 years before playing it again becomes apealling.

I really hope XBLA, Virtual Console, and whatever the PS3 has doesn't kill collections.

I don't know, I liked King of the Dragons back in the day but it's just so basic - attack, jump, that's pretty much it.

It's hard to go back when I've played such superior beatemup's to it.

It could have benefitted by at least a grab move.

To me, the greatness of a beatemup is not that I shelf it once I beat it, but that I keep playing it again and again - see Streets of Rage 2, or Double Dragon Advance.

Man I have had all these CPS3 romz sitting on my HD. Now I can actually hope to use them in the near future.

I think collections are dead...even the PSP is getting a download service. no way are game companies going to shell out the extra cash for cases, discs, inserts etc. when they can just upload them one by one while making more money on each game at practically no cost.

people ate up DLC (me included), this is one bad side effect. on the plus side, sometimes the games get good updates like online mp.

I still haven't downloaded a single game that's cost anything. I've downloaded a crazy amount of demos, videos, and free maps but I've made a conscious decision to not get any premium content. When the prices are cut in half, I'll consider paying for a couple games. I find it applaudable that people can now play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for $10 or less but I still find it hard to pay more than a couple bucks for a game I can't physically hold or take over to a friend's house. Call me old school, but I like reading the manual.

Yeah, I basically got all the games I really wanted on compilations in the past, so I'm set. Or at least, Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles will make my life complete. I'm a little surprised compilations lasted as long as they did since we've been getting compilations even recently despite the appearance of the VC, XBLA, and PSN store.

Nice. I'd buy that just to be able to play another online fighter... despite the fact that I've only played ultra-scrubby Tekken 3 in the past.

OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT!

fuck yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....

thx MM!!!!!!!

my only setback now is no PS3, but I'll have it a go... fuck yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

note: this is probably a tease at what is to come with Tekken 6 :)

EDIT: looking at this post, I sound like a really anoying GFAQer...

WHOA.

Did NOT see that coming. Hells fuck yes.

(guess this free gay blue tooth ear piece thingy will come in handy)

how much is 1000 yen? isn't that $1,000,000 USD? I'll pay it.
As of today, 1,000 Yen is about 8 bucks...
not bad, so it'll probably be about $10 here. I wonder if there'll be more than just an online mode (new stages, more balancing, other modes perhaps?)

mmm Tekken DR online. More reasons to buy a PS3. First price drop and I'm there.

Nice SC tease, too. Both those games look hawt.

Edit: Can I buy shit on the JPN PS3 net and play 'em on my US PS3? Sorry, I forget. That extra $2 is meaningful to me.

should be nice to utterly destroy you guys (with the exception of maybe Markman) ;)

edit: i don't even really actually wanna beat you guys except rolento

Hey, the HRAP3 went down in price @high-score? So they will ship it to me for $99 out-the-door to Hawaii? I don't even have a PS3, but that is very tempting.

Too bad they can't get the SA version. No way can I afford the P-A one as the shipping alone kills me.

Wow, great news about the T5DR online upgrade.

Right now I'm trying to convince myself NOT to get a PS3 anytime soon. Doesn't look like it's working :)

Tekken DR online is good news. Hopefully Sega gets a clue aswell.

Rolento - Thanks for the video. While I can agree with some of the list I still don't get why people hate SF EX3 so much. I know people are picky about their Street Fighter but EX3 played fairly well as a game. I loved the Tag Super Moves. Back to the actual video, he spends so much time cracking jokes instead of addressing WHY the game is horrible from a technical standpoint.

I've never been especially into Tekken games (I'd just bust out 3 with my friends once in a while back in the PS1 times), but I'm really glad to hear about T5 going online. That shows that a franchise can give the arcades some serious love, but still embrace the online community. Kudos to Namco... KUDOS I say!

I had to go to Va Beach for a regional meeting the last two days. Stayed a the Holiday Inn Surfside. Just a couple of blocks down they had an arcade by the name of Flipper McCoys and I got to see my first ever Marvel vs. Capcom 2 arcade machine. That was friggin' awesome. They also had Tekken 4. I didn't have a lot of time on my break do I didn't get to look everywhere in there, but just seeing a MvC2 machine was amazing and I actually had time to play it a bit.

What wasn't awesome was me getting my very first (and last) speeding ticket on the way back home. I just wasn't paying attention to my speed. Live and learn.

If they do infrastructure servers for Tekken, like a lot of the other PS2/3 online games, that should take care of a lot of the lag. It does wonders....when I could barely play DoA4 on the 360 with my patched connection, Resistance ran perfectly with 40 people in a match.

I highly agree. The EX games all play superb, but the only downside is the bad graphics... nothing that horrible really.

As for Tekken DR, I'm even more happy that the update will have Survival and Practice... two modes sorely missing from what is out now.
