Thanks MM. Should be on GGPO later tonight unless I have a problem configuring the router that I'm on (Apartment Complexes router).

I'm gonna bring my Xbox over to my boys house tonight so I can download the Street Fighter HD Beta.

I've been playing the beta for awhile too and was sad when I first fired it up to see it was a very old build ;(

The current game looks similar but there are some tweaks to the animation frames that make the idle and walking animations look more natural...

I played it a few times. was kinda disappointed in the 4:3 aspect while playing online. Then i played my 3 yr old daughter in local MP, switched it to 16:9 and wasn't to keen on that either. Why couldn't they have made it true 16:9?

This is a 3 month old build and doesn't have the true widescreen format implemented yet. The character balance is way different from the current build as well.

Ken is a BEAST in this version.

Multi dragon punch combos = 50% + dizzy...

lol watch this:

Well, Street Fighter traditionally has been 4:3.

Looks like Ken can't be stopped in this one.

I got my copy of CvS2 for the GC and it doesn't play anything like the PS2 version. It's great for kids because they can pull off special moves with ease but you lose all the finer details. No footsies or pokes to soften someone up, it's just fireball spam and dragon punches all day. Looks like it'll make a good gift for my father-in-law. He only has a GC and likes to get his ass whipped in fighting games from time to time.
dumbass quote of the day
Man, I don't understand the point that dude was trying to make at all, especially with that aryan comment. That's just as offensive as any other slur IMO.

the beta is nice, but I really hate the freezing. having to restart my 360 a few times for a game is a little annoying.
Yeah the freezing was killing me before. I just stopped playing because of it.

I played like 2 hours of the Super Street Fighter II TURBO HD Remix beta with my brother... good times. Unlike a lot of people, I am lucky that my brother is always nearby for competition in ANY fighting game. He has natural instincts and killer reflexes. Always makes for a good learning experience.

It was fun playing the same game with new tricks... slowly using new tactics/exploits and refining the way we play was fun. Reversal/wakeup Shoryus are SO easy now... Good thing Ken can't get his wakeup shoryu to combo unless at a specific wall/character situation...

Ken landing anti meaty mp dp x 2 into dizzy corner into jumping fierce, standing fierce, fierce shoryu...
= call it a night!

^ that was already posted but damn good

More importantly the Xbox and GC versions of CVS2 took out Roll Canceling.

Oh and message to Chac. Xtreme Dance Force is from Naperville. Proud? :)

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a dream I didn't even know I had just came true. Now i can go to work with a smile!
wooooo

Unless its a joke....then heads will roll!

Castlevania fighting game......I wonder if other Konami characters will make appearances. I'd love to see Dracula and Snake going at it.

muahaha, those screens look hilarious to me for some reason. Just a wacky concept. I think it could have had potential in 2d, if done in a Guilty Gear kinda way (the characters are far fetched enough/have enough random powers that it would prolly have worked)

Also, has Konami ever made a fighter before? Oh, answered my own question:
Kotaku: It was also responsible for one-third of the line-up Dream Mix TV World Fighters, a Japan-only fighting game that featured Simon Belmont and Solid Snake and was terrible.

Wait, the fuck's up? Xtreme Dance Force? Is this like... a new team on America's Best Dance Crew? I wonder if I know sommathose suckas.

I just want to see konami pull off a fighting game that is actually good. from there they can start to enter competition with all other japanese big names in the fighting game industry... which would be great.

Metal Gear Fighter.

I'm probably butchering the name, but I know that the major stab at a fighter that Konami had was Kensei: Sacred Fist... which ended in disaster. I dunno if anyone could come back from making a fighter like that, even if there are Castlevania characters... and it's on the Wii, isn't it? That's a con right off the bat.

oh fuck... when's that shit on?

And would I be wrong if I guessed that there's gonna be like... a buncha white kids and one abnormally white black kid in that crew?

Damn I'm pissed.... I only got to play about 5 matches of SSF2HD beta, because I forgot my TV and was using my buddies internet connection. Now I'm sitting around with nothing to play. I did get a USB pad for 3 dollars from Wal-Mart. It definately would be horrendous for fighting games, but it works well with
SNES emulator

Gonna set-up GGPO monday, as I have to visit my GF's parents this weekend

Also, there is a random list of games I'm trying to pick up. If anyone has any of these for sale, let me know.

Einhander (PS1)
Pride Fighting Championship (PS2)
Sonic Adventure DX (GC)
Street Fighter EX3 (PS2)
Street Fighter: The Movie (PS1)
Super Monkey Ball DX (Xbox)

That's about all I can think of right now. I have a bit of disposable income right now, so if anyone has a for sale list to send my way let me know. I'm looking to beef up my game collection.
how far is it for you to get your TV? maybe plan a long weekend trip...
3+ hours each way, and I drive a Ford Explorer so gas is fucking KILLING me. I do think I'm going to Baltimore for the 4th of July weekend though, so I'll stop at home (Philly) on my way back up to school though and pick that ish up. Living without a TV is so hard.

Also, that Castlevania game looks horrendously terrible. Like, it's gonna be really bad. REALLY bad.

Sorry for the ridicilous amount of posts, but the ad at the top is for "Emo Games: Find more sources/options for Emo games". HAHAHAHAHAHA.
