Preorder yours at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=498271062&pf_rd_i=468642

according the joystiq the DLCs are Speaking of Avatar items, the release actually reveals what they are: a Rosch outfit, a Nabaat outfit and a Chocobo pet (the same one you might already have, we're assuming).

Also Faceplate will be a preorder bouns

Why would you need 2 controllers for Final Fantasy? I guess it's cool they're including 2, but they'd sell more if the system had something that make it look actually look limited. It looks like a regular 360 Pro system... Are they repackaging the inventory that didn't sell after they discontinued that model?

When you get frustrated in the game and get stuck, tossing your controller into the TV, you'll have a new controller to pick up from where you left off.

Doesn't fix the broken TV issue, however.

When I first saw this on Neo...I nearly pee'd myself. Then I read the details and this goes down as one major FAIL. Weak, just weak. Not even a fancy Lightning faceplate?

If the final product has some FF13 art on the console itself, I might consider buying it since my poopy 20gb hdd is begging to be replaced.

Don't you remember Charlie's Angels? It's a two player game dammit! TWO PLAYER!

Well if it is a standard white console there won't be any reason for me to pick one up so I am fine with that. Although the pdf on neogaf says console/controllers will be black.

Also another bundle that only includes the regular version of the game? WTF?

it's amazing how hard of a time people on gaf (and to a lesser extent, here) are having grasping this concept.

--2 controllers for added value, in hopes that one day after you finish FFXIII, you will play a game with another person.
--A normal pack-in of a huge game that needs to be advertised on this system, since it has never been on an MS console before. (FFXI doesn't count, niche crowd.)
--It's also a good strategy to take away the "Final Fantasy = Sony" mindshare from the public.
--It's not meant to get current 360 owners to buy another system

It is the exact same contents as the MW2 bundle, just with a different game.

If you don't have a 360 or have an old system with a 20/60gb or no HD and are looking to upgrade, then it is a good value for you, especially if you want FFXIII. If you already have a newer system with a 120 or 250 gb HD there is really no reason to bite on this.

Now if they spruce up the console that is included in the bundle like the MW2 console was then it will intrigue collectors and FF fanboys. I really think they will do this, but at this point I wonder if they have time with release only a month away.

Just pulled this from Major Nelson's homepage of X10 event notes:

"The Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Bundle will release starting March 9 for $399, and include a 250GB Hard Drive, two Wireless Controllers, exclusive downloadable content and a Standard Edition copy of the game."

Notice the "Standard Edition" mention of the game. Finally a hint of a CE release in NA?

If you call that a deal >

Calm down. The HD is the best part. The DLC will be avaible to buy or on ebay, but I will thank MS for saving me 400 and only making it the shity white color with no graphic.
Super rare, how? You can get a white console anywhere, and a 250g HD on Amazon.
I think he means the box it comes in.

A standard white console equipped with 250GB HDD but with no FF branding at all?! Did M$ just fart?

At least put a damn line on the console that says "Final Fantasy XIII Limited Edition" and people will be all over it like bees over honey.
lol, first time I've hoped that someone will sell the box only on ebay, because I don't want the contents.
If you are talking about the game case itself, don't bother. Most likely these bundles will come with a broken game case just like the MW2 bundle did.

If this is what we're getting instead of an actual Collector's Edition of the game, a lot of people will be pissed. Including me.

If we're not getting a PS3 CE (which Europe is getting) because S-E cut some deal with Microsoft for a console BUNDLE (not even a limited edition console) than I will be even more pissed.

It's the box that's rare, silly!:)

Why do they state Standard Edition copy of the game. Does that infer that there will be a Collector's Edition coming out?

This right here. Even thought my 360 sees more play then the PS3, this is one game I have been WAITING for to play on my PS3. If I don't get a collectors edition, and only get this shitty subpar console bundle then I might go kill Bill Gates, and his money throwing ass.

I thought the same thing. I hope so.

I'm REALLY disappointed seeing that it's just a regular plain old white 360 console. Why even bother with it? When I first heard of a FF System bundle for 360 I had high expectations of a collector's edition Xbox, but this is nothing.

From my reading of it, it seems like you have to actually pay extra to get the FFXIII faceplate... Kinda weird, but I'll probably buy the faceplate instead of the console. (even though I'm getting FFXIII for my PS3)

OMG!!! Nothing says Final Fantasy like a white xbox! In for 10 ... sure to be rare, since it looks almost exactly like an Arcade unit but true fans will know it's not by the tiny Chocobo hidden under the faceplate!

The harddrive has the laser-etched FF logo. I'm underwhelmed by the faceplate, though (and I like Lightning). I'll shoot this over to my 360-less friend to see if he's interested.

Ah, you're right, and apparently it's super-duper rare. Lovely.

Even if it's just a plain 360 (aside from the HDD engraving I'm assuming), Microsoft is still smart to provide a bundle. If Sony doesn't do the same, this bundle will certainly appeal to those ready to buy a new console for FFXIII.

Yeah the faceplate doesn't come with it. It looks cool, but somehow I think it would look terrible on my black Elite console :p

Faceplate isn't part of the bundle, for those kind of skimming these things.

It's cool, though I love how they designed it for standing 360s. Yeah, I heard that is awesome to do and in case it accidentally tips over, it definitely doesn't imbed itself into the disc in the drive.
