I live in MI, and the 4 GR's ive gone to have had this sale going on with 2 other sales, Buy one, Get 1 %50 off and Trade in any game, get $10 off a 39.99 or more NEW game.

Not all GR's are in on this. Of those that do, the rules vary by compentence.

I have some questions about Game Rush (since one is opening soon by me)
Do GameRush employees have diferent uniforms?
Do they work at blockbuster as well?
Is there seperate managers for Game Rush?
Does the Game Rush store have a seperate register?
Is GameRush seperated like Game Crazy? Any anwers would be helpful.

Actually, you should make it a point to check out the GameRush at 190 and 78 (next to where that huge new mall in Garland is being built that will supposedly put the one in Frisco to shame...)

Got Viewtiful Joe and Metal Gear Solid: TS for $20 when trading in XBox Nightfire, Unreal Tourney, and some other game I can't even remember because I only played it once and didn't like it.

They were the only place around where I could find Viewtiful Joe GCN, and I've been looking all over the Garland/Plano/Richardson area...

What is the general setup like?

1. Only for the systems and expensive "gaming extras": like the PS2 harddrive, Eyetoy, etc., the rest of the games are on shelves.

2. From what I can tell, they are full-time employees of BB.

3. It's like a BB game rental area, only instead of renting the games, you buy them.

I agree, I've found quite a few games at the Town East location weeks before the other ones around here have. Another good location is the Jupiter/Buckingham one. I stop by that one almost every other day so I think the employees are sick of seeing me. Haha.

If anybody is looking for the Chronicles of Riddick, that Richardson one had at least 4 or 5 copies that they were about to sell around 6pm. I wanted to trade for one but the guy said they hadn't entered it into the system yet so I had to stop by later. I'm hoping they'll still have one tomorrow morning. :?
 
i only ever make it to the McKinney and Allen stores. waitng to run into a game i want to trade in my crap i bought when the plain BB in richardson went a few weeks back.
 
Is anyone else having trouble trading Space Channel 5 Special Edition? I just got home from Gamerush and they had a problem scanning it...It was brand new from Target...
 
I had a couple problems with Space Channel 5 SE for the PS2. In Blockbuster's computer two entries came up for the game, one for Space Channel 5 1 and one for Space Channel 5 2. Doesn't make much sense since both games are included in the PS2 release, and they aren't sold separately. One of the listings (I think Space Channel 5 1) had $25 trade-in credit, the other one was like $3. My Gamerush just wound up giving me the $25.
 
Does anyone know if the Trade 2 get 1 PO 9.99 is over or at least YMMV now? It's gone as the current offer on the website, replaced with trade 1 get new for 39.99. The last time the trade 2 9.99 PO deal was "over" a ton of people reported their stores still letting them do it....but all of the ones in NY stopped. Please let me know if you hear anything about it being over for now. Thanks.

Also does anyone know if the 39.99 deal works on pre-orders and if so does GR pre-order Halo 2 DVD edition?
 
As a follow-up to my own post, I called the local GS and asked if the deal was still good, the blockbuster manager told me that he was notified via email it would be coming down shortly but as of now it's still good....
 
OMG OMG OMG! I am so happy

I went to walmart and I tried to get bloodrayne matching my reciept from circuit city and they wouldn't let me so I went to meijers to try and they wouldn't let me either but I saw they were getting rid of the ps1 games they had 1 buck each. Nothing great but took a couple and went to the register and they rang up 1.00 and then 25 percent off so I got them for 75 cents. I then went to gamerush and traded three in and used my coupon and got mvp baseball 2005 for free and saw a green n64 and I really wanted it so I bought it and tried to trade mvp baseball back so I could get the credit back I lost paying for the n64 and they wouldn't let me so I went to the other gamerush and got 21 for it. I ended up paying 3 dollars for a green n64 with an expansion pack :)

Do ALL Gamerush locations accept PS1 games? I can pick up some cheap games then possibly trade them in....

No, not all, but I know everyone I've talked to here in the Dallas area says that they can trade-in PS1 games for PO games for 9.99, I think most stores do it, but not all.

also one that 4.99 coupon IF you read it it only says xbox, gamecube and ps2 games, it might say gba but I dont think it says ps1 but I have done it three times and they haven't said anything./
 
Just an FYI for everyone, Spiderman 2 is down to $30 trade in value. NCAA 2K5 is the only $35 trade in now I think.

oh I traded in war zone and got 2 bucks, maybe he gave me more because its new?

one racing game for 1.50 and boxing for 1.50
 
Could someone bump the GameRush Trade-in Value topic? I looked down about 5 pages, but couldn't find it. Thanks. I saw a couple Riddick's and Red Dead Revolver's at GameRush, but didn't get 'em since I didn't know the trade value.

Traded in Space Channel 5 (GBA) for $13 and a PS1 sports game.

I got a 2nd copy of Zelda:WW. Might give it to my nephews. I could've got a copy of Pokemon Collesseum (I know I didn't spell that right).

Also picked up the N64 Zelda:MM for $14.99 and got Bond:TWINE for $5 (half off). And used the $5 OFF coupon to get Medal of Honor: Infiltrator (GBA) for $14.99.

Oh, a couple weeks ago, I asked what the trade-in value for Metal Gear Solid for GBC was. They said $9.00. So that ain't bad. I bought my copy for $10 at Wal-Mart a few years back. I should trade it in.

If you can't find Viewtiful Joe anywhere, you might wanna try GameRush (like someone else said). It was $19.99. I asked the guy if that was considered a Player's Choice title, since you can use the $5 off coupon towards Pchoice titles and GBA games. But he didn't think it would be since it didn't have a yellow bar on it.

I traded in a Red Dead Revolver today, got $25 for it. Not sure about Riddick.
 
the new egm has a game rush coupon for trade in any 3 used games get a used game for 4.99 which if they end the trade 2 in get one for 9.99 promo, the coupon is still resonable deal then. Not sure if it's a true coupon, where they will actually take it from you or if you just mention it and get the deal.
 
i got 12 bucks for PS2 vice city and 2.50 for "reloaded" for the ps1

got splinter cell 2 for nothing...both those games were free from a friend..game rush is the best thing ever

i was going to post viewtiful joe for 20 but somebody already beat me to it :p
 
they gave you 12 for vice city? I traded that in a while ago and got 10, it was disc only and the cover work on the cd was coming off but I dont think they care, lol.
 
Last night traded in 2 copies of Syberia for $13 each, Hitman Contracts PS2 for 22 I had previously gotten from GR, and Iridion 3D GBA for $.50 Got a Riddick and a Full Spectrum Warrior + about 30 in credit. Sweet.
 
I also traded in Red Dead for $25 last week, but you better hurry on that one cause it's already only $30 new at CC I believe. Price is dropping fast.

If you're ever at a GameRush, check out their price for a brand new The Suffering - $29.99 and then if you check out their price for a used one - $39.99. Haha. They give you $25 trade-in credit for the game too...

I have a few CC games I want to get rid of...

Here in Cincinnati, I saw a Gamerush commercial showing off the trade 2 get one for 9.99 deal. If they're just starting commercials for Gamerush with this deal, then I don't think it will end for a while.

I was just wondering, you know that deal trade 1 get a new game $39.99 or less, that works for pre-orders too, so in case the deal isn't on at the time of say Halo 2 you can get it set at that price now. Also if you decide not to get the game or get it somewhere else they will refund your credit or cash!!
 
YMMV brother. I was told that if I paid for the game in full that it would work on a pre-order, and others have mentioned getting games preorder when they had the trade 1 get a new one 29.99.

hmm, interesting, well the manager was the one who offeredit to me I didn't think it worked but I payed off Halo 2 with credit and I hate paying off games due to better deals else where.
 
Some people on Fatwallet are saying that there are some changes going on today. One guy says they wont accept trade in games you got from them within the last 14 days, another says he had to sign a new agreement but didnt really mention what was on it. Anyone else run into this yet? I had no problem trading earlier today in Novi.
 
I'm going back to GameRush tonight so I can get ESPN NFL 2K5. I'll see if they want me to sign anything.
 
I went there today. They no longer accepted PS1 games for the trade in 2 get 1 for $9.99 deal.

However, I traded in Psi-Ops (great game, but it will be dropping in a couple of days it looks like) nba live 2002, and defcon 5(ps1). I got hitman: contracts and still had over $20 in credit.

Not all stores had that anyway, so that could just be YMMV, I plan on going back to Game Rush soon, I went to the one in Campbell in Richardson on Tuesday, and my cousin traded in some games, he didn't have to sign any agreements. So, I dunno: it doesn't bother me you can't trade in any PSX games for the deal, as you get more trade-in values from older PS2 games, which are just as cheap as the PSX games.

This will really suck for the guys that were exploiting this deal before. I couldn't be happier that Game Rush is going to put this policy in place to slow down people ripping them off.

Arrrgh. I didnt know that. I just beat Medal of Honor: Frontline, and I planned on trading it right back. I don't know if 14 days have passed, though. I'm pretty sure it hasn't. Man, I guess I'll have to wait a while, then.
