Why would I be sarcastic? Maybe I wasn't pissed, but I was dissapointed. I was looking forward to playing today with a few buddies, and since GR can't get games on time, I lost that oppurtunity. Whatever. The game will be in the next day or two.
 
My GameRush usually gets MAJOR releases on the Wednesday of release....I can wait until Friday for GRAW. I hope they have some kind of sale/deal soon...although, I would only be interested in PSP or 360 stuff.

I take it no trade in deals anytime soon? I still have a few games I'm holding, but I may just trade them in. Hopefully put some credit towards a PS3 when they offer it....IF they stay around that long.
 
Does Burnout Revenge still get $12 (XBOX)? Now that I hve the 360 version, this will be out the door.

Full Auto gets $35, right? I might trade in since I have two race games now that are similiar.

They had both of them for me, probably the only copies that they got in. Only had time to play both for about 30 minutes each....but I am definately impressed with GRAW (Revenge is sweet as well, but I had previously played it on Xbox)

I stopped by yesterday to pick up Burnout and they told me that GRAW had been delayed till March 15th....:rofl:

I must be playing an advance copy that I picked up at Best Buy yesterday.

Gal told me at the Gamerush I shop at that the game companies are treating them like red headed step children... no deals, no qty, etc... because they are not ordering on the large scale that the other companies do...

That synchs up perfectly to the article I posted in the old thread... how Blockbuster tried to get discounts on games, but they don't buy in bulk, and they pissed off alot of publishers, which is why they get shipped stuff later then everyone else.

After a quick look, GameFly sells it for 9.99 used, but factoring in shipped cost ($13.69) plus waiting time, $9-$10 profit seems a little lacking. Maybe.

Botticus if you know someone that has a GameFly membership their shipping is free and now with the rewards program they will be able to buy games even cheaper.

just a note to those looking to dump some credit, i did just buy the Family Guy Vol 1 (Seasons 1 and 2) for 24.99 - they have a sign advertising this price over the locked tv dvd cases

i know it's not a game thing but i thought it might be of some interest to those with credit that are not excited about dropping 65 dollars of it on a game
 
Picked up GRAW today at Gamerush, but I didn't see how many they got since she pulled my copy from a small delivery box. Also found out I had an old Quake IV for xbox preorder that I forgot about. She cancelled it and gave me 54.11 back since supposedly it had been released months ago. Even though it isn't, I kind of see it as a free $54 gift card since I forgot about it. :D

grr thanks for giving me another reason to make a trip out there again today.... :D I almost bought em too last weekend for what $42.99? That's a pretty good deal I just hope they still have them in stock and its this price at my store.

aww my gamerush was out of Family Guy volume 1s.... :( I did preorder Megaman: Powered up though. In their computers it seems to be listed as Megaman: Power up.

EDIT: and I found a cart only copy of Phoenix Wright. Think I should go back and pick it up to resell? I don't know what the value would be though if its cart only, if it would even be worth it. I already had it and beat it, so I wouldn't pick it up for myself.

That copy has been there for about a month now, I would have already picked it up had it been complete...Now leave.

Since this GR is isolated they never have district-only promos or their own sales (they just do whatever GR headquarters tells them to), so this is most likely a national thing. I'll just shut up about it till it actually happens (if it ever does, though it was a lot of stuff for the guy to tell me if it was total BS). I'll report back with the details when it starts. I was just hoping others could check up on it at their stores this week so we had some idea what it really might be before it starts.
 
Oh I got details on the clearance sale....

The games are going to vary by store, but the clearance sale is going to be on BRAND NEW games and accessories only. Everything is going to be 50% off of the sticker price, the games will not be marked with the correct price. You can tell if the game is clearance if it has a blue dot sticker next to the price. The register will automatically take off 50%.

As to what games and accessories??? Look around your local GR for stuff that has been there for a while, or doesn't look to be selling. Some examples from my GR have been NBA Street v3, goldeneye, narc, killer 7, etc. Nothing new will be marked down as far as I saw, but stuff that has been around for more than 3 months. There are some pretty good games that are going to be a few bucks cheaper than other places so get ready!!!!

Well, this is good news then. We will need to compile a list here if possible, as I know my GR will not mark anything. I can't see them getting too variable from store to store on which games are on sale. Aren't all the prices controlled centrally? So if the register rings it up automatically there must be a common list (or at least, I'm sure, many of the same games must be on sale). There are a few things I'd definitely like to get that have been around way more than 3 months :D.

Just to be clear, though, you are talking about a sale that starts next Tuesday, right?

Based on when it is suppose to start at the end of this month which is five months after launch it might have some of the launch 360 titles and I know a lot of PSP games will be apart of it because I rarely see people buy new PSP games at Gamerush.

Yup, sale starts on March 14, I have a list for my local GR but I will have to get that out of the hands of my store manager somehow ;) . I'll probably get that to you guys on Saturday. I hope it's the same for every GR because there will be no way to tell if the game is on sale if it isn't marked at your GR since the price may not come up correctly when scanned since it comes off automatically, fingers crossed on that one.

As for any 360 games or PSP games being on sale, I do remember a few PSP games that were going on clearance at my GR. I believe that they were Gretzky NHL, NBA, smart bomb, and one more game (NHL I believe). Nothing spectacular but like I said, I'll get my GR list to you on Saturday night/Sunday morning since I work there on Saturday morning
 
Excellent, thanks Jayson. Shipwreck, looks like there's something good to put in those parenthesis finally - "50% off select games and accessories March 14th". But maybe we ought to wait for Jayson's list on Saturday to make sure there's some decent items there (the PSP examples are not encouraging :D).

I'm hoping for Destroy All Humans, Kingdom Hearts, and Trace Memory (then I can stop checking Target every week!).
 
Oh one thing I forgot to add, I'm pretty sure that anything that was made into a GREATEST HITS title will be on the list, I remember my co-worker putting those dots on all the xbox and ps2 greatest hits games i believe, I remember seeing fable and pulling a bunch of greatest hits games off the shelf to sticker
 
Just got back from Gamerush and they had a sign for buy 2 get 1 free on select titles. Don't know if this is YMMV or storewide. Didn't have time to like around but there was a sign up for it.
 
I have to say my GAMERUSH is the BEST. I went to get my copy of GR:AW today, and the lady there knew I never got my FULL AUTO faceplate. She said I could either pick out one of the MS ones or get a credit for one to get at another store. They basically gave me $20 FREE!!!!! I almost got the silver faceplate, but I'd rather have money towards a game or something. Excellent deal! I love my GR! I have to check my credit now....I think that brings me over $220 for sure.....

It was probably the MS Sale on select Xbox titles that most stores have had over the past few months.

I eventually got mine from them, they actually called me and had me come in and pick it up.

So, after a little lull in GR activity, it looks like it will pick up the next few weeks. First off is the sale, which I hope inlcudes all GH games - there's quite a few I've held off on hoping for some deal (even if it was 2 for $30) at GR.

Then, for whatever reason, the next few weeks are full of new game releases. They pretty much rival the November releases as far as I'm concerned.

I have the following to pick up:
3/14 - Daxter
3/21 - Suikoden V
3/21 - Metroid Prime Hunters
3/21 - Me and My Katamari
3/28 - Untold Legends 2
3/28 - Kingdom Hearts 2

If the sale includes Xbox 360 games that are 3+ months old, I will be picking up at least 2 games. I doubt they will include anything XBOX 360 though. $25 wireless controllers, $25-$30 games, $10 Plug and Play charge kits. Too good to be true.

And I guess they dropped the trade in prices of launch 360 games. Anyone have the trade in price of Kameo? I play the game about 2 hours every 2-4 weeks, and I'm close to finishing it.

For some reason, there's an ordinance that they can't be inside that loop, wahtever it's called. But I called a couple of Gamecrazys when I was there last November.
