Anyone that has gone to GR today seen GRAW in for 360 ? My store said maybe today but no GR people are in yet that would know the difference.
 
I am assuming that most GR will have both GRAW and Burnout in tomorrow, I will be checking mine tomorrow.

On another note, where is Io list that had the games available for pre-order? I am going to change The Outfit and I want to know what other games are on the list.

Any list GR has is still likely to be as messed up as that one :D. The point of it is not really for dates, anyway, but to show what games are in the system. Just verify the dates using ebgames.com for any games you are interested in. The only game I know of that is not on that list is Me and My Katamari for PSP.
 
No GR:AW today, :sad: Hopefully tomorrow...

I rented Radiata Stories... and it's in the process of being mine forever right now. :D

I checked at a regular BB today - $12... I have that second copy which I guess I will just keep. Since it is supposed to be such a short game maybe I'll play through it and then have it available if GR has a trade-in deal (yeah, right).

Made the drive over to GR today. I was sad when I walked in and some dopey looking dude with a less dopey looking older guy were manning the store. It went downhill from there.

1. Tried to return Resident Evil DS. I didn't have the original sales receipt (that actually lists the product), just the other receipt that shows cost, payment, etc. So the dopey guy had no clue what to do, asked the other guy, he said I'd have to come back tomorrow when the manager was working to deal with that. Yay.

2. Ask about Tales of Phantasia. Dopey guy looks around, says he can't find it. I tell him it's in, he goes back and mindlessly opens a few drawers and gets it. Asks the other guy if my preorder receipt says I've paid for it, he says yes, so the guy demagnetizes it, and gives it to me. No delivery :p So, if I wanted to be an awful person, I could go back tomorrow and get the other copy they had delivered to me for free since there's no record of my receiving it. But I'll pass.

3. Ask if I can preorder (wanted to do MP:H, Tetris, Odama). Dopey guy asks the other guy if he knows how to preorder, but he doesn't. So I get to do that tomorrow as well.

I can understand how they don't have well-trained employees all the time, but two employees at the same time, alone, with no understanding of how to interact with part of their merchandise? YES!

Well if they give you a hard time about returning Resident Evil DS then it's time to play the Tales of Phantasia card...heh.
 
tried to preorder metal gear subsistence today and they couldn't find either version at all in the computer.....called two other stores neither of which could look it up on their computers....the third store told me "we are no longer doing preorders for videogames" !!!!! this is a gamerush....i have no idea what is going on over at that place

Ugh... that's the same crap they are telling me over the phone, that it's "not in the computer". I don't get it, this is Konami's big spring release... what the hell is going on?

This is why I always have them scan my Blockbuster card when I buy games. It stores a record of the purchase in the computer. I returned my sealed Zelda Four Swords I got at Game Rush when I found one for $10 at TRU. I didn't have the receipt anymore but they looked it up on my account with no problem.

Also, if you trade in games, it probably doesn't hurt to have a lot of new game purchases on your account so they can see you're a regular customer and not just some one that comes in to flip junk.

if they just handed you the game, it will show on your account that you havent picked up your preorder. unless you tell them you already got it, it will show up on your account until they deliver it. (easy to just switch it to another game and make it worth your while, or be the ethical person and have them fix their error.)

The weird thing is I saw and advertisement on some website for GRAW and it said available 3/9

The EB's and GS's already have them in but GR is always a different story.
 
Glad I got a copy of GRAW at ebgames. I'll return the GR copy to ebgames whenever it comes in.

Somehow I'm not surprised that they screwed up the biggest 360 title since release. Lucky I preordered at EB just in case.
 
This is so fucking lame. My GR doesn't have GRAW in. Why do they never have the game in when EVERY other store has it in stock, sometimes even a day AHEAD of GR. I hate GR... if it isn't in tomorrow I'm gonna be so pissed... AAAAHH!

That's just what the computers say. The computers always say Friday. I'd be extremely surprised if they don't get the game tomorrow. GR is usually always 1 day behind when EB/GameStop gets the games in.
 
anyone in this thread shouldn't complain about not having GRAW quite yet. You have all dealt with GR before and know how terrible their preorders are. Some games just never even show up or don't come in till weeks after it's release date. I'm pretty sure GR will have this tomorrow. 1 day late is considerably good concerning gamerushes track record.
 
Mine doesn't have Burnout or GRAW in. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomarrow. Also, when I called about trade in values, I was told all of the launch games now only trade in for $25. Can anyone else confirm this?

Frankly I'm shocked that our GR has stuff in before even the other GR's. They had Tales of Phantasia yesterday as well, right on time. I'm shocked, I tell you!

vvvv --- Excellent point (below) h2dk. Don't give 'em credit till you're holding the games. I'm pretty sure Phantasia did get in though 'cause the manager told me yesterday he was holding my copy. Now the problem could arise that someone else today sold it :D. I'll be there in a few hours to see.

I'll be shocked once I have them in hand...I have been down this road before with them telling me something was in and it wasn't (or it was sold before I could pick it up...I know you're familiar with this)
 
It's like GR is begging me to continue to abuse them.

The manager (who has a nice rack but seems to be one of those who is a bit too full of themselves for a part-time retail manager) told the employee (one of the two I don't mind working with) I could return RE: DS "just this one time" without the original sales receipt. I asked if they had a record of my purchases on my account and was given a half-nod. The sales receipt is needed why?

Switched that credit to Metroid Prime: Hunters. Also preordered Tetris DS and Odama. And wonderfully enough, the $10 credit that was supposed to be put on my account when AOE DS went from $40 to $30 wasn't there; and shouldn't be according to the employee. Unless it dropped the day I preordered. To which I asked "If I hadnt' been told I had the credit, couldn't I have returned it at $40 and rebought it at $30?" "Yeah, you could have, but not now." So I will be calling the DM tomorrow so I can actually talk to her and bitch to get my $10. We might become good friends.

Due to that lack of $10, I actually had to pay real money for my preorders! $1.38, to be exact.

Haha, I didn't know the manager was female until today, ah well.

It depends on what you mean by "pick up" ;) At this point, I'll be doing the unethical thing, but that could change. I'm just gonna let it sit there till next time I'm in - probably two weeks at this point. They just cancel or leave alone preorders you don't do anything with, right?

Oh, and apparently two weeks is too late for preorders? He told me I might have to wait till the Friday of the release week to get it since I had ordered so late. Don't recall that being an issue.
 
Both Stow & CF, OH say Friday for Ghost Recon. I called CF and physically stopped by Stow to verify. With it coming out a day late everywhere else, this is not a surprise.
 
I'm really pissed they don't have GR:AW in. Gamerush normally gets major releases in the day the game comes out. Very dissapointed, since I had a lot of time to play today.

and on another note, I think Ima dump off Dragon Quest VIII and Soul Calibur III tomorrow. I'm thinkin I'm probably going to preorder Daxter and Megaman Powered up.
 
^^^^ Hey, that's right Daxter comes out soon, eh? I've had that preordered for about a year now.

OK, news from my GR - they claim a big accessory sale is starting on March 14th - 50% off. It includes some used and new accessories, but not all. It also *might* include some games but they aren't sure. They could not find this info in the MAP, but said they have all the signage for it ready to go in the back. Since this GR is isolated they never have district-only promos or their own sales (they just do whatever GR headquarters tells them to), so this is most likely a national thing. Since that is just a week away there must be someone else who can confirm this. I don't think it is thread title worthy until it is confirmed independently. Of course they have NO Wavebirds new or used and one of mine just broke from the abuse my 3 year-old gave it :whistle2:(.

They also told me the future of GR at their store is in limbo, and when pressed further they simply said they might be contracting the new stock (which is the same thing they told me last week). They WILL still continue to be a GR for the forseeable future, which was a big relief! This is what prompted me to ask about a clearance sale (I was hoping on all that stock of new games!) and thus how I found out about the accessory sale.

By the way, I did a quick search of their older used game section. This is what my GR has: NO new PS1 games, 6 total used PS1 games, 2 used N64 games, about 6 used Genesis games, and 1 (one) used SNES game, which is NBA Live 1995. Most of the others are sports titles as well. They have about 8 or so GB/GBC games. So those of you finding multiple GB Zelda's and the like, or anything good for older systems are very lucky indeed :D.

Also, h2dk, don't know if you made it in, but I saw absolutely NO sign of Burnout Revenge or GRAW - they didn't have rental copies out or sale copies in the locked case or anything sitting behind the counter. They did have my Tales of Phantasia waiting, and it looks like it was the only copy they got.
