Word Beef. Let me know when you are comfortable again with fighters :)

Also if the online bitching with SFIV is any indication, MVC2 is going to be one ragequit clusterfuck.

So, anyone wanna take a swing at how much MvC2 is going to be when it hits the XBLA?

My guess: $15.

Any FGTers on Twitter?

Ragequitters should just play me, since I play like when games used to last more than 20 seconds. :D

I'm gonna be bold, and say closer to $20.

No on Twitter for me. I have enough blog-type things to worry about.

I hate to say it, but I think you two are right on the $20 price. I bet Capcom PR already has two different spins for that price too. "It's $20 because of the licensing fee Marvel charges." or "It's a real bargain considering retail copies are $60-$80. We're giving you a deal!":roll::roll::roll::roll:
Beat opponent under 15 seconds? I can't do that shit, I ain't at SmoothViper's level, or nuthin.
The timer in marvel is basically 3 seconds = 1 second on the clock.

You should be fine. Just mag-fucking-neto them in the face.

Someone on SRK said that the Famitsu story said nothing about the update being $25.

Either way, I've always believed that Capcom's "friendship" with it's community is a sham. They use said community as cheap market research to find out what games we want, make them, praise themselves in the media for making "what the fans want" and then they nickle-and-dime us to death on withheld content. Content that sells because of the brand loyalty the "friendship" helps to develop. It's brilliant from a corporate perspective, but it's shit for the gamers.

Update from Kotaku:
"Eds Note: Previously we incorrectly listed that Championship Mode would be priced. This update is free, free, free."

Video game journalism FTW. You'd think they would make certain of the price BEFORE they hit the publish button....BUT, NOOOOOO!!!:lol::lol:

See, it's mistakes like this that make me want to break into video game journalism. Not because I get to make mistakes, but because I wanna correct them.

Yeah, that's what I meant.
This just in, I've discovered Rero's secret identity.

You can't hide anymore, Brandon Boyd!

I'm not as "artsy" as him thankfully, but I do have a few friends who fall in his catagory...

been so fucking busy with the video this week that i can't be on CAG much or I get distracted... I see I missed some stuff, so I'll have to read up between editing...

very glad to see mr. beef back! yay!

EDIT: read the past page... seems a few of yous scared of a blurry MvC2. don't worry :)

is it just me or do the 360 features for championship mode blow away the ps3 features
didnt think it was true until i read capcom unity

That's a quick turnaround from the CAPCOM IS EVIL RAH RAH RAH you were spewing earlier. ;)

Lowtaku always sinks far down to draw up controversy. Don't ever give them the benefit of the doubt until a real reputable news source verifies it.
ReRo! you owe me an explanation on how I did against you in T5DR!
very true... i'm a bit tired now but I'll give a gist of what I think... very minimal gist:

Like I said, you don't suck. You are way better than most beginners where you have a better understanding of what is needed to play correctly. You know to poke (sometimes), fall back wen needed, etc.

To be honest, playing you, the two things I would say learn is to get comfortable with knowing most of Lee's moves where they become kind of second nature. I'm glad you don't spam like most players (though you do throw alot... something I see most beginners lean on, but you not so much). Use training mode for a while The other thing is then after learning the moves, get a better idea of the properties against opponents (ie. reg hit, counter hit, air hit, combo hit... etc). I recomend you practice this on the AI.

from there you should feel good :)

I will say an easy win against me is to throw... I've never been good at all at throw escapes, so that's my weakness.

I was about to say "Hey, you fell for the throws" until I read your last line.

You can thank SF for me trying to do pokes. Glad to hear I'm decent at it for a beginner though, thanks for the input!

 yeah, i hope you realize now you don't suck

I just listened to a Starcraft podcast (day[9]) that tells you that there is some advantage to playing players worse than you.

I think the same thing applies to FGs. I know a lot of players here hate playing random scrubs online because they lose to "dumb tactics" or have to deal with it, but in reality, you need to have a solid unfailing defense against it.

I complained that "spam jumping back with a shoto is soooo safe" a while ago. Well, I learned it's not safe. In fact, it's such a positional weakness that with Sakura I can easily take advantage of it. That's because I've played against bad players so much that if a good player mistakenly does a jump back, I can take advantage of it.

If you lose to random uppercuts or players that jump in non-stop, you need to learn how to win and turn it around, because when a good player makes this mistake, what're you going to do? You NEED to be able to punish it because he might not make many of those mistakes.

As said in the podcast:

"Better players teach you what NOT to do. Worse players teach you what TO do."

Oh it's no quick turnaround, only a Kotaku jab. Nothing more, nothing less.

My issue with Capcom is because of things like, for example, the SFIV alt. costume DLC being stored on the disc. Had the Kotaku story been right, it only would have added more fuel to the fire. I know Capcom isn't "EVIL RAH RAH RAH", just a for-profit corporation.

I'm genna need everyone's name and/or screename for the credits either tomorrow or sunday. this is just a heads up.

so far I'm almost done with all the cuts (editing to music is a bitch, and even more so the way I do it). My arms are sore for being on a computer for 8 hours straight.

8 hours tomorrow and sunday >_< film might not be complete when it's due, but if it ends up that way I'll be going back and finishing it after presenting a short version.

freakin egg man... ppl still complaining about this.

FYI... I dont kno if ppl realize this, but if the costumes WERE NOT stored on the disc, then you wouldnt be able to see them if your opponent has theirs turned on.

and the whole point of the costumes is to show off... if you're gonna get pwned then get pwned in style.

what's the use of buying sum flashy shyt if nobody but u can see it? IMO the only thing that looks better when nobody can see it is money.

damn i want to go to the sfiv final in frisco tomorrow but i dont kno anyone else that wants to go and im not goin alone plus i would get lost

LOL, bum babum ba bum, CASH MONEY!

Yeah, I get what your saying. But if their already on the disc, make them hard to unlock. Doing it that way would make the alts a badge of honor for busting your ass.

BlueSwim the only reason alternate costumes exist in SFIV is so that Capcom could make extra money off the mega-fans. I doubt that they would have even designed them if it wasn't for the possibility of making them paid DLC.

Yeah, your right. There's nothing wrong with making extra, unnecessary content for the fans who want it. Hell, I'll probably drop the $4 to get some extra Cammy costumes sooner or later. But it's how they went about the DLC that is the problem.

That'll be $150 RR.

The wild, untrained fighter can be just as dangerous as the experienced one. It's best to be prepared for anything and be able to adapt to the situation.

I've heard that too. I can't remember the exact quote, but it goes something like: "I don't fear the number 2 swordsman in the world. I fear the inexperienced person who randomly swings his sword around."

yeah, I expect the pack to not be cheap, but at least cheaper than buying the packs separately.
