But by the same token, unless it's some rare game you can pick it up down the road for dirt cheap--for a lot less than you can sell it for now, or a lot less Goozex points that you'll get for it now.

Thus I don't keep much of anything after beating it. Better to get maximum value for it, and can grab it off goozex or a used game shelf etc. for cheaper in the very rare case that I get an itch to replay it a year or two down the road.

I was thinking of selling it on Ebay but thats to much of a hassle for me. I could get 1000 points on Goozex right now... but seeing as I buy most of the games I want day one I'm not sure what I would use them for. And I still have that Tekken 6 Arcade Stick bundle to think about... I'll have to Ebay that one. But I'll have to see how much I could get for that first.

I just realized, FFXIII, GoWIII...in about a month. And there's other games besides that. Oh man, it's like Christmas or something...

Yeah, I get maybe 1-2 games a year day one, and also request a lot of movies from Goozex, so points are valuable for me. I'm always amazed how many people are day 1 game buyers here on CAG--always wonder how they ended up here vs. gaming sites not dedicated to deals vs. buying day 1!

You could try the trading forum here, see if you can get another recent game you want right away vs. waiting for Goozex etc.

Hey, don't forget Yakuza, Mega Man 10, and TEH POKEMANZ!!! I find it funny that after all of Square's pursuit to be #1 for sales in something, Nintendo just comes out of the blue and bitchslaps them with Pikachu.

I bought a used copy of Crackdown today. It's still fun, but I really want to play through the game on co-op. Anyone up for it?

I know, and I can't wait!

My PS3 collection is going to really grow in the next month or so.

Yakuza 3, brohan. But $60 and going up against some heavy hitters, it's like Sega wants that shit to tank.
I really need to stop talking myself out of trading games. I know I'll probably never touch Bioshock 2 again but I can't seem to make myself click the "have it" button on Goozex.
You should sell it to me instead of goozexing it.
You should sell it to me instead of goozexing it.
Sounds fine to me. How does $40 sound to you? Also it's the PS3 version.

Cross yer fingers and pray to yer gods. I'm trying my second to last attempt to copy my old PS3 data to my new console.

I still can't remember anything about my Japanese account - the PSN name, the email I used, any of that shit. That's a lotta money just lost.

I really liked Bioshock 2. The game played much better then the first game. And I did get into the story even if wasn't nearly as good as Bioshock's.
I'm a bit saddened by the fact you were never really betrayed by Sinclair. I played through the whole game waiting for him to screw me over.

anyone getting bad company 2?

the amazon $20 promo credit deal is pushing me over the edge especially since i have $25 in credit from past deals

I have no backlog now.

While I am proud of that feat, I think I'm going to have to start playing my little brother's copy of Spongebob: Truth or Square because I can't figure out anything to do.
I am getting BFBC2. Oh what a delightful backlog I will have this year. :)
o yes this year will have a ridiculous backlog

i finally bit on the order for bc2
cant resist getting the game on release for $31.99 and getting $20 back

now to strategically plan out how to get FF13 and alan wake
lets see credit at tru and gs to burn and amazon again hmmm
What class are you? What's the deal with the fight? Is there nowhere you can just buy elfroot?
Warrior, with Alistair, Leliana, and Morrigan. The fight is not a big deal, just something for a side quest. Blood mage, a big mufucka, and a bunch of pesky archers. I've got enough strategy to stun the mage and take him out quickly, but the big guy and archers tear everyone apart since I have no healing. And no, I seem to have bought the world's supply of:

 1. Elfroot
 2. Lesser Health Poultices
 3. Health Poultices
 4. Greater Health Poultices
I assume the stores have to restock sometime, but they don't seem to want to do it for me.

I was not that excited for GoW3 until the latest trailer... so nice.

And it is ALL about Red Dead Redemption... can't wait.
Where are you finding BC2 that cheap nelo?

Chibi, just let me make sure I can cover it. I'll get back to you tonight.
i had $25 in amazon credit lying around(and it would've expired on feb 28th)

also walmart needs to add $20 gift cards to FFXIII and other titles
Ooh, someone on GameFAQs says the Dalish merchant has unlimited Elfroot. Where can I find this person?
Um.

The Dalish camp.

No problem. I could hold on to it if there is a problem.

That last God of War 3 trailer was pretty kick ass. I'll probably settle for the regular edition. I don't need some useless box taking up more space in my room. And there is also that $10GC Amazon is offering as well.

So I was not going to buy any games in 2010 for full price till I got 1k in the games I own, I have now bought ME2,BS2, getting AvP and BF2BC2.

I am good at this not buying games, deal. I want that new Boarderlands DLC so I can get rid of that game.
So any tips for a new Fallout 3 player? How do I get better weapons and armor... I'm so damn weak.
keep playing, conserve and sell everything, put points into your repair skill.

Doing the first part of the Wasteland Survival Guide mission outside Megaton should help you get a few things anyway. You'll have to fight a good amount of Raiders, and should end up with some guns and some of their armor which worked alright early on.

I usually focus on getting small guns, lockpick, science, and speech high first, but that's because I almost never used the repair skill or bought things.

What if I accidently blew up Megaton? #-o

Really? I'll give that a try. Thanks.

That's why you save obsessively and have multiple saves etc. in WRPGs. So you can load if you fuck something up.

fuck gimped backwards compatibility, there's a copy of Chronicles of Riddick Butcher Bay downtown at the drugstore for like 9 bucks.

Suddenly I have Bioshock 2.

The woman who gives the Survival Guide mission survives the blast, and will be near the crater where Megaton used to be, she'll be the only cheery ghoul in the wasteland :D
Um.

The Dalish camp.
...is not on my map. And I'm a Dalish Elf, even. I guess I've gotta get farther? I've bumped it down to casual and taught Morrigan how to heal, in the meantime.

I'm probably going to preorder that as well. The demo is fantastic, I was just waiting to see if there was going to be any sort of deal on it.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep my Heavy Rain preorder. Demo was alright, but seems like a very different type of game that I'm not sure i would enjoy right now.

I also need to pre order GoW3. Damn good games coming out. Good thing i'm ont really interested in FFXIII.
It is on your map. Unless your game is horribly fucked, it is on your map.

It's in the southeast.
There's nothing in the southeast of my map except the Amaranthine Ocean. I feel like a bunch of things disappeared from the map once I went to Redcliffe, or maybe Denerim. Do they only want me to do one quest at a time?

Uh... no... unless you started the Landsmeet, I think.

Dalish are camped at number 2, as I recall.

Thanks man...

...But, damn Fallout and Oblivion. Same damn thing. I always feel like I'm way too weak, like I'm too low of a level to be anywhere. And I'm always running away from too many guys, running low on ammo and meds. And when I do fight someone I can kill a bunch, but I'm always left almost dead so I have to eat 7 pieces of meat, 2 stim packs, some water, medicine and an apple and I only regain half of my health. And then some guy shoots me three times for half of my health...

Also that VATS thing is always so inaccurate unless I'm right in their face. Bah!

I found myself drinking an absolute ton of irradiated water early on to stay alive, especially in the buildings with bathrooms.

I loved that feeling early on in Fallout 3. It really added to the surviving-in-a-post-nuclear-world feel.

I don't remember feeling underpowered in Oblivion.

You actually have to scavenge a ton at the beginning. Every insignificant piece of trash should be kept and sold. Use that money to buy more guns/ammo. Bump up repair so you can make the guns you have better. Just keep progressing with quests for all that XP.

Does Fallout 3 have a difficulty slider like Oblivion? I have it on the shelf but haven't had time/motivation to get around to it.

With Oblivion I just moved it a few clicks to the left (toward easy) as I didn't want to deal with dying in combat as the fun of the game was exploring, doing quests etc. The combat was pretty lame. But with Fallout playing more like a shooter I'd probably try to tough it out as there's a better chance I'll enjoy the combat.

In any case, if it has a slider you could always move it a few clicks to the left and then move it up later. It didn't affect achievements in Oblivion either, not sure about FO.

Yeah, it has like five difficulty levels or something. You can change it whenever you want during the game and it doesn't affect achievements.

Seems Dead Rising 2 will once again feature the 1 save only mechanic. So from the bottom of my heart, I can truly say this honestly:

fuck Dead Rising 2

They're giving the indication that it's the same type of save system. I honestly think autosave would be worse in that type of game. My complaints about Dead Rising were:

- 1 Save, and lack of save points
- Escort Missions out the ass (Seriously, screw those guys)
- Strict Time Limit in terms of progression (also plays into the last point)
- Getting Books for Upgrades kinda sucked
- Shooting was terrible

I hated the fact that they offered you a chance to save after you died, which immediately started you at the beginning. What kind of sick joke is that?
