Okay, but seriously, how am I rationally supposed to beat a fat
who throws fireballs from across the bridge, even with thief ring equipped? I'm too far to lock on, and too shitty at aiming (unless there's some mechanic I'm missing) to do any real damage to him before I get killed.
In 2-1? The dude on the pillar where you need to balance beam across a little into the mine? His fireballs are pretty slow/predictable if you watch for the timing. Either dodge them as you go across and just leave him alone, or dodge, dodge closer, lock on, arrow, etc.
If you get stuck in one world, try another -- but world 5 is the most draining world there is, especially 5-2. I dread that
ing place, no matter how strong my character is. 4-1 is highly manageable, but you need to deal with the bastard skeletons at the beginning.
If you go to 4-1 you can get revenge on the mini-boss of the tutorial.
Just watch out for the manta rays.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: (1) Get a good bow. Upgrade your dexterity. (2) Get the basic magic spells... especially soul arrow or soul ray or whatever it is. It makes life much more manageable.
What class did you choose? I had soul arrow as a spell because I was a Royal. That spell made surviving in the beginning much better.

I feel much better about the $40 I paid for MK9 vs the $5 I paid for MvC3 SE. Much better. I feel like I actually got something for my $40 instead of being sold "$70" worth of game that wasn't worth $5.

This sounds
ing retarded. This is what you were keeping from us Capcom? (SF3SOE DLC) Bad form:
Titled "Fight for the Future" -- I see what they did there -- this unique DLC is not playable, but rather the results from an invitation only tournament Capcom held at their offices earlier this year. For this super-secret showdown Capcom flew in 16 of the worlds greatest Street Fighter players from around the world -- including the likes of EG Justin Wong, Amir and Tokido.
Details for how this DLC will work were vague, but I can only imagine that it will incorporate the games downloadable replay system. As for the winner... well Capcom told the fans on-hand that they will just have to wait till August to see who came out on top.
Unfortunately no firm date and price for the "Fight for the Future" tournament were mentioned during the panel. With a "wide variety" of DLC planned for Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition hopefully Capcom keeps things on the relatively inexpensive side.
