GGT 185 gives bad tips
First level is terrible. Rest is serviceable tomb raider so far, if you like the general non combat heavy TR games.
I've never played tomb raider besides guardian of light (?) so I guess we'll find out.
Love that show. Too bad it's life got cut short just like the main character's.
Did you watch the standalone movie/extended episode for it? They replaced parts of the cast.. it was odd.

I liked most of my time spent with Legend and Anniversary. They were pretty solid games, especially for whatever cheapass price I got the HD trilogy for. Once PSN gave me Underworld, I finished Legend and Anniversary up and sold the disc. Finally completing the trilogy so I can get the HDD space back. ^_^

Lots of exploration, lots of "ruins" and such, minimal combat so when something like a tiger shows up in the jungle, you say "oh shit!".

I mean, I complain about the underwater level simply because of the implementation -- great idea, but everything looks the same and is hard to see if you're going for treasure collecting. Even without that, finding the second crank thing could be a pain; but once you're in the ruins and out of the water, it's better... and there's not a lot of swimming so far after that -- I'm on chapter 5/7 now... it just could've been handled better, I think.

Yeah, I watched it. I think it came with the box set I got a few years ago. It wasn't quite the same without Mandy Patinkin though. :( And it was weird how they replaced Daisy. Still glad it got a sort of proper ending though.

Also, josh, you'll like this because it sounds old.

I like this a lot.

Also that video is amazing.
Huwahh, Max Payne 3 is like the only 3rd person shooter I've greatly enjoyed. Playing on Hard and nearly finished, so good. Tops Uncharted 2 for me.
I'm enjoying it too, although it just reminds me how overly used to current FPS health management systems I am. I also still run into the old "hitting the bullet time at the wrong times by accident" thing. Re-mapping the controls won't help me since the entire control system is different enough from most other games I have nothing to compare it to anyways.

Taking a break from D3 to play more SR3 co-op with my buddy. After a flawless net experience the first time, we ran into the game crashing bugs when his net connection crapped out. Apparently, getting disconnected can result in the game locking up, doh. Still fun as hell though. I love using the pistol in this game (except on the boss/mini-boss type enemies).

I just like how when I pop out of cover, I may take a bad bullet and get a game over. And how enemies are always moving so you have to make shots count. Somehow they've overcome the duck and regen health problems that make other cover shooters so routine. The shootdodge can get annoying sometimes, though.

And I guess the game gets flak for its cutscenes but I think they mix with the gun action quite well.

I like the cutscenes myself. Shootdodge is pretty much the whole game, so I got no problem with it. I think R* has done a good job overall reviving these oldie moldie games like Red Dead and Payne into better iterations of what they were.

Dark Void is seriously not that bad. I probably would've loved it to death if it came out last gen. I would love to see a sequel where they fix the problems it has.
Alright those São Paulo and graveyard chapters were fucking bad. Geez, I take back what I sad.
Damn dog, you flip like Linda Blair's head in Exorcist. :booty:

But then again, I haven't gotten to the graveyard parts. What was up with Sao Paulo?

In the city it's like 3 minute cutscene -> 5 seconds of control -> 2 minute cutscene -> 10 seconds of control. You'll notice later in the chapter.

It's all Payne dialogue that gets really winded and you literally get huge segments of it after turning every corridor. All he talks about is how he doesn't know what's going on. Plus, I enjoyed the game's humor and now it's getting super serious and ehhh, that's not the vibe I had from early on. I know the previous Max Payne's were serious, but I didn't play them and so I sort of embraced this game's apparent ridiculousness (i.e. bullets making bloody swiss cheese of your jacket). Except it's not supposed to be ridiculous, they actually think this is a story worth giving a shit about.

And the game doesn't reward headshots anymore because every other enemy is wearing some indestructible helmet you have to knock off. Pincushion theory, I swear it ruins shooters. Oh, and half the game's cutscenes leading to me ducked behind cover in some kind of espionage approach is just weird. Didn't strike me as the game to just open up with cheap pot shots after each cinematic. Send me flying through more windows or something please!

He wasn't in the movie? Guess it's time to rewatch that series. Him and George's interactions really made the show.
fuck it, I'm buying this:

And probably this:

EDIT: I might even buy RE6 now after seeing those Leon vids. That shit is ten times better than what they showed off at E3.
Weeaboo!

I bet all that talk about hating JRPGs is just that...talk. :bouncy:

Next you'll be cosplaying with ibestie, gushing about anime/manga, and posting jpop videos.

But... those aren't RPGs?

Tokyo Jungles seemed like one, there was equipment for the dog, that change your stats, and then you ran around killing stuff to level up so that he could initiate a mating ritual. I seriously got tired of that video after I determined that he was going to be running around just killing little creatures as that dog for like 10 minutes, with almost no threat outside of the Beagle he fought.

This is real true. Game actually had some pretty good shit going on. The flight and vertical-cover-gunfight portions were both pretty damned fun.

Bought my gf a margaritaville margarita make for her birthday. It is fucking awesome. I was skeptical at first, but now I'm a believer.

Got to the "twist" in Space Marine. It was so easy to see coming. I swear every WH40k game follows this trope.

Kill the Margarita Marines!
I threw up twice today, but it wasn't because of alcohol consumption.

What's wrong with me?
Stop playing Enslaved.
But the facial animations are so good! That makes the gameplay good and the characters not awful.
Thank you for showing me how wrong I am; Enslaved is an amazing game!

I only try to help.

You should go out and buy it for both PS3 and 360 now. It's the perfect example of how to make a game run on a console. Sometimes, you can't even tell the frame rate is dropping!

by sometimes I mean when you're in the menu

I like it when the frame rate drops.

It makes me feel like the characters are so fast that my eyes can't keep up like when I watch Dragon Ball Z.

I like games that have low framerates. You gotta see it like this. . .Instead of saying "Oh, the game drops frames and slows down!!" You need to say "Oh, the game occasionally runs smoother!!"

Glass is half full, bitches.

I think I'm kind of addicted to The Binding of Isaac, the game is really fun to just play a run through or two, even when the game bones you hardcore by giving you terrible items and you get owned, haha.

I think one of my favorite parts is how almost all of the items change your appearance.
