You trade games into best buy and have their magazine? I have a funny feeling that you do not dislike their stores.

I just remembered, Best Buy's copies of SCV come with Dampierre for free.

So GS has a sub that gets you discounts and BB has one, too. Why doesn't amazon start a gamer's discount club? I'd pay $15 a year to get discounts from them.

oh god I already spend enough $$$ at amazon.

With free 2 day shipping and sometimes launch day credit it's generally cheaper than GS/BB anyways.

Yeah, but having shit like $20 off old games would be nice, too. I'd buy SSX for $10 if they gave me a coupon to get it for $10.

Finished Lollipop Chainsaw. It was excellente. I liked it even more than Shadows of the Damned. Shame it probably bombed just as bad though...
 
What's your guys opinion on stores holding games for a soldier on leave? A gamestop I visit every couple of months has a soldier that pre-orders quite a few CE's. Since he's on leave a lot, they hold the games for anywhere up to a year. I know some stores want to support their troops, but would I be in the wrong if I complained to a DM?

Even though i'm only in the store every couple of months, if I'm able to ask about the game 4x before its picked up by the soldier, that's 4x the opportunities for them to get pre-orders from me.

Sounds like an asshole move to me, don't do it. I know if I were that soldier, I'd probably want to EWGF you into oblivion, especially if it's for a item that's considered rare when he gets back.

If he's on leave he'd have time to pick up the game, you mean deployed, right?

And you really shouldn't talk to the DM about it. That's a dick move times 1 million.

I'd imagine he'd be put off if you didn't express your appreciation for him by doing so.
 
Aight so my issue with Vanquish so far is the bullet time mechanic. Like, I'm getting rewarded for putting myself in bad situations. It activates when at near death and you can basically kill any big threat around you for free, with time to spare for finding cover. So broken.

And the challenge missions are a lot more fun than the campaign, I find.
