GGT 236: Michael Biehn appreciation thread
Also, Happy Birthday, Ice. I would post a highly naughty photo of X-23 and Wolverine, but I'm at work.
Thanks GhostShark, not sure if I want to see a naughty picture of X-23 and Wolverine together though. Not really sure who I would think X-23 would make a good match for though.
Don't deface X-23 please.
I kind of agree with this, I love her. I mean I even love her enough to put up with Avengers Arena since it's the only thing she's in, and I really don't feel that series at all, it just doesn't work for me, maybe because I'm such a huge fan of the Battle Royale novel and because the setup doesn't really seem like it will make sense with comic book characters. (In all honesty there are a bunch of characters I love in Avengers Arena).
Icebeast, you better watch Hasselhoff Nick Fury. Shit's dope. Told you.

Haha, that is a good candidate for a future birthday for sure.

It's beautiful.
That Teddie key chain is awesome. :hot:

So they're putting Psylocke in that Deadpool game. It's okay girl, I'll still love you afterwards.

Also, they're putting Zatanna in that DC MOBA game. At least those motherfuckers know which characters to pull for their game.

Seemed like for awhile they wanted to at least get a blood thing going between her & Jubilee now that Jubilee's a vampire.

X-23 is in Marvel.

I assume that's the European special edition for P4A? Remember it will be region locked for Europe.

Also IGN has like 2-3 hours of gameplay of Blood Dragon up on their site/YT page. Imagine Komono Dragons from Far Cry 3 except Triceratops size and you get the threat the actual Blood Dragons are in the game.

It truly is a reskinned FC 3 with a simplified leveling tree.
I thought I would like it but I'm all about the story and the characters. This game doesn't really seem to have a story. :l Might give it another try then, I suppose.
Yeah, the story isn't very good, as for the characters I like how you get to create them then you essentially form their own story, but they don't personally contribute to a story either, the main story is really only whatever you get out of the quests unfortunately, but I still enjoy it.
did you play ni no kuni yet?
I have not, it's on the list of my games I want to pick up at some point, I have a couple other RPGs to go through atm though.
it's finished, i got some help on the swing portion and now i just need to comb through the code and add the necessary documentation. i present it on friday, really need something close to a perfect score to get through the course, lol. but it does everything listed so i'm hoping she won't shaft me.

what's your steam btw?
Glad it all turned out okay. Let me know if you need any assistance with documentation.

Wait a minute, Josh, you're graduating in less than a month...
This is true. Then no more late weeknights.

Report back when it is 5 dollars during a Steam sale. So I can buy it and never play it because the first one sucked.
Well something lead to us wondering what to call 2000-2009. Jess suggested the "OOs" (prounounced like ooze), which lead to me making a reference to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, which lead to Jess asking if any of us remembered the girl ninja turtle. We were trying to find out what she was from, when I came across that one video.
Seriously? THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. Last night she and I were talking after the game ended and I actually had to explain to her how the female turtle came about and everything.
Having more fun with Injustice than I expected to, especially considering I wasn't wild about the demo. Had pretty good matches tonight, netcode-wise. If you still play, we should get down some time, Joel.
I'm down anytime, mang. It'll be interesting to see who you main.
I thought I was the ONLY one that remembered the female ninja turtle. No one seems to remember that movie (or whatever it was) that she was introduced. East Meets West, I think? I remember going to Blockbuster YEARS ago and being excited for that, lol.

Anyway *clear throat* Move along.
The Turtles tv show on Fox. It was kind of terrible, but the Power Ranger crossover was fucking AMAZING.
I wish I could remember when that new animated TMNT comes on. I wonder if its good.
I haven't seen a ton of it, but what I did I actually enjoyed. I was surprised.

I like what I've seen of it, but Donatello's voice and buck teeth annoy the everliving fuck out of me. Outside of that, it's a fantastic show.

The Injustice Facebook page just revealed the Classic Cyborg skin and from the looks of it we're going to be getting Classic Deathstroke, Classic Harley, and Pre-New 52 reboot Wonder Woman (with the leather jacket). I'm pretty okay with these.
This is true. Then no more late weeknights.
Why? What happens when you graduate?

Do you get a job at Walmart with Zeki?

I'm OK with them, too. I'm assuming they'll be coming with Lobo along with the Flashpoint Thomas Wayne Batman suit. Hopefully they keep pumping the costumes out. I'd like a Batman: Year One Catwoman suit (since I main her), Blue Lantern Flash, Violet Lantern Wonder Woman, Orange Lantern Luthor and many others. Mostly because I just re-read Blackest Night, haha.

This is pretty much what happens in this area.

Seriously.

Imma do some woodworking today. Feels good, man.

I'm glad that Classic Harley's happening. I'ma prolly mess around with her at some point this week. So far, my plans of maining Grundy are holding up.

Cool I'll download some episodes today.

Is Leda cosplaying as tifa?

So I'm pulling myself out of the Minecraft rabbit hole. Shit's deep. They've added tons since way back when. Enchanting. Potions. Trading/commerce. Hell. (Probably the weakest addition -- I even resent their cutesy, literal "End Game" addition. Being cute about it doesn't make it any less unnecessary or pandering.)

Anyhow, there's critters to breed/slaughter, crops to nurture/harvest, varied biomes, hidden temples/huts/abandoned mineshafts, and so much goofy shit to build. It's goddamn limitless.

I've given up on my best hardcore round yet, didn't die in it, just found myself completely and unhealthily dug in with the game. In this last save, I found two villages within maybe 300-400 blocks of each other. Walled each one off, lit them up all to hell, gave 'em golems to keep them safe. Then linked my two villages with an underground subway (minecart + powered tracks).

Pulled the plug on Minecraft when I found myself considering building a massive city in the space between the two villages, then populating it by breeding villagers (yes, you can do that), and then who knows what. All of a sudden I realized what an amazing obsession, timesink, and lifefuck that would be.

What a game. One of the few titles I've been glad to have paid full price for after the fact.
I built a furnace once and stopped playing.
In addition to the walled, patrolled, and extensively remodeled villages, I built a series of farms (heavy on wheat for animal husbandry) within the village walls, which were expanded to include the farmland. I also built assorted mining camps at block depth 9 (for extensive diamond mining). Then stopped playing when I considered building and populating a metropolis.

So yeah, the game can take you as far as you want to go.

I could only dream of that.

I started a part-time engineering job at the end of February, and I'll be moving into that full-time once I graduate.

It only gets better and better when he knocks his chick up and they get hitched and play house. ;)

Congrats on having a job in this economy Josh. You'll have to tell me about it sometime. ;)

Little Baby Joshy running around. Would be amazing. Then he'll start drinking heavily. . .get divorced. . .lose his job. . .All fun stuff ahead of him. Enjoy!!

Engineers are some of the biggest alcoholics and most depressed people I know, BTW.

This economy still sucks.

One final down for today, have two more later on.

Then another on Thursday I think. I don't even know anymore.

Eventually. She's doing Marceline from Adventure Time first.
Seemed like for awhile they wanted to at least get a blood thing going between her & Jubilee now that Jubilee's a vampire.
Eh, the connection there was mostly just the fact that they both like Gambit, who introduced them to each other because he felt like they could help each other overcome the somewhat similar situations they were going through.
X-23 is in Marvel.
I was talking about comics. Avengers Arena is the only comic X-23 is in right now (basically she had her own 3rd solo series which got cancelled, then they put her in Avengers Arena which also ended up being ended, and now she's in Avengers Arena (along with a bunch of Avengers Academy characters)). And it's basically a Battle Royale/Hunger Games knockoff with a bunch of established young super heroes who are supposed to be killing each other. But the setup really isn't very good, and the writing for most of the characters is really flat. But I feel like if I don't support something that X-23 and Runaways are in then they might just stop putting them in anything (which kind of already happened to Runaways, although I'll admit I wasn't a fan of most of the end of the 3rd Runaways series, so I'd be kind of scared if they said they were going to give them their own series again (well unless Brian K. Vaughan was going to write it again, haha).

AMD needs to start sending out those Blood Dragon codes. I need to see what the world is like after Vietnam War 2.
Hay, I was just thinking about you and how you haven't posted about how much you despise Leda in a while.
Not much left to say. She's certainly packing on the pounds, I guess. Sympathy weight gain for her cat's thyroid problem?

Vietnam War 2 left the world in ruins, apparently. Those damn Vietcong are always up to no good. :bomb:

I can't wait to find out myself. . .On Thursday, most likely. :bouncy:
what?

If anyone in here, especially those of you without a Vita or who aren't planning on buying Soul Sacrifice, would be kind enough to donate to me the "Spirits Falcon Feather" DLC code that Sony seems to be randomly sending out to people in an email (provided I don't get one), I would be much obliged. :)
I'm using mine, but I'll ping my work buddies to see if anyone else gets the e-mail. Only me and one other dude here buying the game. I was gonna go to Best Buy, but found out that the digital download comes with the preorder bonuses. Guess I might as well just wait for the store update tonight.
I'm glad that Classic Harley's happening. I'ma prolly mess around with her at some point this week. So far, my plans of maining Grundy are holding up.
Good, Grundy is pretty badass. I don't like him much, but I'm having too much fun with Aquaman to notice anyone else anyways.

Yeah, most of the engineers I know are the most unhappy and unfulfilled people ever. Really sucks, but I hope Josh remains his bright and cheery self.
