Yuck, I beat the game but didn't really enjoy it very much. Like it was kind of fun at first and the story seemed like it could be interesting; but the gameplay felt like a chore toward the end of the game and the story never really goes anywhere, I mean it was supposed to have two more games but the end of the of the game just feels like a complete mess story wise.
I've heard a lot of bad about it, but Shipwreck and Wombat said the second game was confirmed as currently in-development by Dyack at E3, so I thought it was a good time to pick up the first one. I'm sad now that the story doesn't go anywhere :(

What class did you play? I'm a Defender.

For Amaterasu, if you look closely it seems that you have to do some kind of switching of elements or equipment or something (Similar to Mega-Man's arms in TvC) so I don't think you'll be able to use the whip in conjunction with those ice blasts.

I'm also not that big of a fan of the MVC3 look. I think the big problem is that the characters don't stand out from the environment so it does not pop. And the characters are all glossy, which is cool for Ironman but not really anyone else.

I dunno I think that MvC3's look looks like the art they had for the XBLA release of MvC2. Darker and such. I fortunately liked that look so I don't mind the MvC3 style.

I know that's a fan cover but it's official art used on it.
I'll probably try it but I've never been big on the vs games.

The only thing I don't like about MVC3's looks is the plastic-y, shiny look of some of the characters. It's not all of them, just some. Deadpool and Dante look great, but Super Skrull and Iron Man look like animated action figures to me.

If Dyack confirmed that at E3, its the first I'm hearing about it. Loved too human, played through it a bunch of times when it came out.

I'm a sucker for loot games. And surprisingly DeathSpank didn't really pull me in.
I see Frosty has FFXIII now.
How is it? (yet to open my copy)
I only played throught the tutorial battle and opening cutscene -- long enough to get to the first save station (2 battles, I think?). I wanted to see if it had a mandatory install and get it out of the way and so I just played for a few minutes before going back to work on DeathSpank.

I don't remember DQVIII frequently using the English spelling of words like color, favorite, and defense, but it's kind of annoying me in DQIX.
Damn, I'm glad none of you are working on MvC3, I'm happy with the way it is.
+1

Finished Limbo today. Short, but a great game.

Dante's Inferno really drags towards the end (looking at the achievements I think I'm near the end). It's almost to the point where I don't even want to play it anymore.
Scarlet Spider cofirmed as playable in Shattered Dimensions! I am a damn happy man.
I was so disappointed by the final dimension reveal. Its like they saved the worst for last.

I'm excited purely because I'm a SF fan and my brother is a Tekken fan, which means we will have nights of fun with this regardless of quality.

I'm more excited about SF3:TS:OE personally.

BUT....... I have a sneaky suspicion that Backbone Entertainment is making it. The butchers of HDR and MvC2.

So... more costumes for SSFIV, more characters for SSFIV, 3s online edition, Capcom x Tekken made by capcom and Tekken x Capcom made by namco.

I'm so happy.

The Namco Capcom crossover shit makes a lot more sense as two separate games... glad they opted to do that instead of making some weird, halfway between tekken and sf mess. And that demonstration made it look fairly rad. Cept for the loud $$$ who kinda ruined it.

I played as a Champion, although to me it didn't seem like the classes were really all that different; especially since equipment isn't restricted to one class so a lot of times I would just use some weapon I didn't get a bonus in because I hadn't gotten my speced weapon type in a while and something I just picked up would out damage it by a large amount.
I'm looking forward to Capcom flooding the genre back into obscurity again.
Yes, because they're all going to be released this year.

Where did I say I was being serious?

Capcom isn't going to be flooding the market. It's two games being announced, and they'll probably be released well after MvC3 drops. I fail to see how this is in any way, shape or form, terrible.

Haters gotta hate.

Capcom vs Namco looks pretty cool...I'm looking forward to it! I'm happy there's a Fighting Game resurgence.

Yeah, the thing for me is that it's not like all these games are the same damn thing. In the 90's we were flooded with stuff that was more or less identical (I blame SNK), but right now, the major stuff out there all plays completely differently. And variety is nice.

Yeah, it's stupid to say something like "Capcom is going to flood the market into obscurity" like they were the cause of that crash.

And like they can crash the market with a couple of new Fighting games based on well-established IPs.

Hey there is nothing wrong with Ultimate Spider-man. It was a pretty good comic. But I will admit he does seem like an odd choice. I'm sure they could have pick another obscure Spider-man instead.
Wtfff!? Street Fighter vs Tekken? WAHH that's awesome.

Now make Dead or Alive 5 please...
2nd
Anyone else think the Pac-Man vs. Mega Man looked more interesting than the rest of the trailer?
No, but I did chuckle at it.

A side-scrolling shooter/arcade/platformer with Namco and Capcom characters would be much better. Pac-Man vs. Mega Man vs. Super Joe vs. Dig Dug
