I can deal with tearing to keep a framerate up. Something has to give.
There's compromises made in all games. Call of Duty sacrifices AI, resolution, and texture quality to get rid of tearing and frame drops.
I bet those companies have long ago done focus testing to see what people notice the most. I usually have to point screen tearing out to people. I wonder if that is the one that typically is noticed the least by the general public (who are mostly idiots who bought a $1000 TV and then hooked their basic cable and DVD player with RCA jacks to it)
And yes I know the PC gaming master race can run everything at 1080p with 16x MSAA and Vsync Locked at 120 FPS but I'm not talking about the infinite ceiling of PC gaming.
I always liked the opposite, when people would have a 360 and PS3 hooked up composite video to an old ass TV. At least get a PC monitor or something, they aren't that much. You miss out on so much graphically by playing in 480i.
And gaming PCs cost like $3000, bro. Plus you don't get that big comfy couch.
I'm on Fang's eidolon battle, or whatever they are called in FFXIII. Never went back to it. I might someday. I just

ing hate having to deal with those battles.
