I want to buy BlackRockWaifu a Super Nintendo Mini so she can finally experience the childhood games I had. You may hate Nintendo but you must witness the golden age of the 16-bit era.
The Super Nintendo was actually my 1st console. We were really poor then, so I actually got it when I was like 8 or something, and that was like a year or 2 after the PS2 first came out. So while everyone was playing PS2, I was playing the Super Nintendo. I didn't get my 1st actual console everyone else played till around 2005, the PS2 with the online thing attached to it. I was like 11 then? Maybe it was a little later, like 12 or 13 or so.
So yeah, I had an SNES, which I never played and was too young to know how to play it. I remembered I had Super Mario World, F-Zero, Sim City, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Bubble Bobble, and a couple of other cheap games from Gamestop. But never Zelda or anything like that.
I went from SNES > Game Boy Advance > Game Boy SP > PS2 > PC > (all I played was Maplestory and Runescape) > PSP > PC (all I played was TF2, spent like a 1,000 hours on the dedicated servers) > PS3 > PC again (this time all I played was Starcraft 2 and L4D2 mods) > PS4 and I haven't looked back since.
I also have the Wii, Vita, and DSi, but none of those ever caught my attention very long.
My fondest gaming memories were the PSP, Team Fortress 2 on PC, and PS3.
Actually, my favorite games of all time are probably Golden Sun, Megaman Battle Network 3, Pokemon Gold, Team Fortress 2, Final Fantasy Crisis Core, Persona 3, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, IA/VT Colorful, Fallout 3, and Transistor.
