Might have to get the indie bundle on Steam that has And Yet It Moves, Puzzle Agent, and Recettear with a few other games for $5.
If I didn't already have 4 of the 5 games, I would too. Recettear alone is a great game for $5.

I have gotten at least 8 emails from toys r us today about black friday. I kind of want to go there tonight and pick up fable 3 and nfs: hot pursuit

Ultimate ninja storm 2 is damn fun if you're a fan of the manga like me. If you're just looking at for single player, it's only like 15 or so hours without doing side missions 25+ with doing them. Online is fun IF you play player matches. Ranked is full of the same 4 characters.

I'd recommend it for $35

I was only interested in a new laptop from black friday. The BB netbook deal isn't online (or was sold out by 9am for the higher model) and the Frye's laptop that would have been just about perfect was also out of stock by the time I saw it. :(

Amazon changed the times of some of the deals I looked at for movies or tv shows I thought about so I missed out on those... and all the video game deals have been lackluster at best.

Way to stimulate the economy, businesses!

I played the demo for N:UNS2, and it was okay, but the instructions left a lot ot be desired.
As a game without knowing the manga I'd wait for $25 or $30. Single player is good and fighting is fun.

Sorry no edit on iPhone cag.
What I thought was a pretty piss poor move by Namco/Bandai was that the intro movie shows a lot of spoilers for people watching the english dub of the series. :(

SSF4 isn't *quite* that bad.

Thank god I don't run into *that* many Adon's or THawks. :|
I have a hard enough time with others as it is... Those two just fucking wreck me. :(

Lucky, all I run into is Ryu. Ryu all fucking day long, it's like nobody else exists.

Where should one start if they wanted to begin watching the show or reading the manga?

Probably Daigo's fault.

Go to Hulu and stream the shippuden episodes with subs. That's the fastest way. Since N:UNS2 starts with Shippuden, it's probably the best way to do it. If you decide to watch the original show, you only need to watch like 128 episodes. :) The next hundred are all pointless filler that have nothing to do with canon.

For Naruto, I personally enjoyed the original show a lot. Guy Sensei and Jiralya are my faves. Frosty's right, though, if you want to get into the new game, just hit up Shippuden.

I think Uncharted 2 multi-player is fantastic and some of the best, but I just didn't invest much time into it because my single player backlog was too big. Back during the days I was un-employed looking for a job (two years ago), I'd be playing online multi-player games for several hours a day (such as Warhawk, R2, Killzone 2, etc.).

Ugh, the third boss in Sly Cooper made me want to throw my PS3 controller. I kept barely missing the button timing at the very end, causing me to restart the damn boss all over again.

I decided to finally play a bunch of PSP games I got. I really like God of War: GoS right now. Much better than Chains of Olympus, even if I enjoyed that. Even after watching tutorials, I didn't completely understand Knights in the Nightmare for PSP. Will try again later. Played Puyo Puyo 7 import which was fun, along with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva.

As for Naruto anime, I loved the original series. Have not watched much of the Shippuuden series.

The original story is pretty good, but if you're not up to date on shippuden and you care, the game's amalgamated opening scene shows a lot of shit I never knew happened... and I already had a lot spoiled for me looking in the wiki entries for certain things when the manga was way ahead of the show. :(

I'm predicable in that I'm a fan of Sasuke and Naruto and Gaara. To a lesser extent, I also like Itachi, Kakashi, and Neji.

Just for you my friend ;) But I will go back to my cute cuddly Charmander eventually. Can't resist his fiery hotness!

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'm looking into the shows right now. Im probably going to go wit hthe Shippuden afterall since I don't have a whole lot of time to dedicate, and I'd just want to cover the basics before hopping into the game.

Picked up the Indie Story Bundle after finishing the Recettear demo, which ended with my failing to make the money after being overloaded with assholes that wanted to sell me stuff rather than buying anything. That and I didn't do that well with the first adventurer in the dungeon.

I'm considering getting 3D Dot Game Heroes, Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom, and Puzzle Quest 2 DS from the early Amazon sale for just under $54.
Where should one start if they wanted to begin watching the show or reading the manga?
To be honest, I don't know anymore as far as WATCHING it anymore. I used to have a site, but then it went to filler and I just started reading it.

As far as reading it goes, I'm not sure I can post it.(I know you can't on Gamefaqs not sure about here...) It's about 500 chapters in with the first 2 being like 30+ pages each, and the rest about 18 each.

Or you could rent/buy one of the earlier games like the first Ninja Storm and get the idea of what the story is.

Check your PMs.

Happy Turkey Day GGT! Am on vacay with the family in SF and now LA, but still had a little time to pick up Life and BttF BR from Amazon. Also getting NFS Hot Pursuit w/sale + FC. and just waiting for ACBrohood deal to go live now. Anybody going to stay up late for Cheapy's BF Super Show of Savings? This is year is a little too loosey goosey for me. Not sure what the deals are and when they are supposed to start. It's a free-for-all, but it's all good.

BttF BR? And whats Cheapy's BF Super Show of Savings?

I plan to stay up to catch Need For Speed for $34.99 for 2 friends, or 1 if it's a lightning deal, since I already have it. And Fallout: New Vegas, since they'll be at BB and last year they got me some games while I slept at home, lol. Now I wait for Brotherhood.

Much time into Uncharted 2 mp? You didn't play it 2 hours worth online. I loved it. I'm going to try to stay up till 3am est to see the Amazon deals. I use to could stay up till 4 easy, but I go to bed before 1 usually these days. I'm tired now.

Well that was disappointing. Hopefully the $34.99 is actually $34.99 for NFS otherwise my friends will have to hope they get it at BB.

Edit: The price is now $39.99 for AC:B(for me at least), but it won't let me add it to cart 'cause I added it when it was $49.99. So I had to call a friend to order it for me. Just a heads up.

Why are we saying "fuck amazon" this time? :bouncy:

Had a nice Thanksgiving at my parents' house then at the in-laws. Picked up Majin from Amazon. Which is probably it for me in regard to any sales.

I passed on Alpha Protocol. Although it looked interesting, I knew I would probably never get around to actually playing it.

Don't. I stomached about 100 episodes and I really don't understand why that show is so popular, but then I don't really understand the obsession in shonen manga to have training and tournaments all the time other than to stall the story; Negima! (basically Love Hina and Harry Potter combined) has had a bunch of that stuff in the more recent chapters and I dislike it so much I'm about to just stop reading which sucks because I've already read 26 books of it.

Plenty of better manga/anime out there, but I guess it all depends on your taste. I tend to like romance, which Naruto doesn't really have.

So true, Shonen is garbage.
So true, Shonen is garbage.
Disagree, at least on the anime. Most of non-filler Naruto and Bleach are pretty decent. Beyond that, I don't give a damn -- One Piece never did it for me really and DBZ got old quickly. As for the rest, I'm not sure even what qualifies as Shonen.

I can understand icebeast's comments about DBZ and the like, but with Naruto, it's a ninja academy, what do you expect the kids to do? Of course they're training. ;) But the training is never like DBZ, where they "power up" for 17 episodes and the villian just keeps evolving forms. And Shippuden is usually much better about this shit too... (Compare Goku vs. anyone to Sasuke vs
Orochimaru
for instance.)

The only other anime I think I actually care about that is still running is FMA:Brotherhood.

Anyway, to each their own

Sorry boss, One Piece lost me when it became mostly about beating the numbered people. Also, I think CN dropped dubbed episodes anyway... (I watched it some, but it was starting to wear on me by the end of what aired).

I did like Luffy D. Monkey and wanted to see him become King of the Pirates and find the treasure in Grand Line or whatever, but it just got too side tracked, sort of like the bullshit Naruto pulled after the last canonical arc with 100 episodes of filler before starting Shippuden.

Eh, One Piece isn't for everybody, I like that each arc is a new story with the same underlying goal. It gets better every arc imo.

The biggest problem with some shonen anime is when they don't seem to have any kind of conclusion in sight, whether for the current arc or the series overall. One Piece is so huge that Funimation isn't even caught up with doing subs for their streaming site, though the plot probably hasn't changed much from episode 1 to episode 475 besides Luffy's crew. Bleach just went crazy at the point where Ichigo's messing around with his mask and DBZ had so much fluff that they're making some more money by remaking the series to make it a more concise show. Dragon Ball did a much better job at having tighter arcs without much fluff, though the Piccolo Jr. arc near the end kind of hinted at what DBZ would become.

Wal-Mart sucked. They only had old Ratchet for 10 and I already have that so I passed. Talked to the manager and she was a bitch and ignored me. Also got into a fight with a guy over him having a problem with my sister walking around to me so I could tell her where the ornaments were. I did walk out with 1.96 dvds of almost ever DCAU movie, though, so I was happy. I also picked up Predator and Batman Begins blus for 5 apiece.

I went intending to grab RDR for PS3 but it was gone. Ended up getting 360 instead.

Will try for Hot Pursuit tomorrow at BB. Won't be too disappointed if I don't get it though.
