I still find it suspicious that Capcom has chosen to use DMC3 Dante in MvC3. Seeing as he's on just about every team in the videos from events, he seems to be popular because of both (1) moveset and (2) character design. I'm guessing casuals who don't know shit about Dante see him and say "he looks bad ass, I want to use him".

Considering that Capcom has given us the retarded Spencer from the Bionic Commando reboot, it seems out of line with their strategy for the radical overhaul they're demanding from NT on the DmC title. You would think they'd want to push "DmC" Dante the same way that Marvel wants to use the movie-ish incarnations of their characters with the Cap America/Avengers movies coming out soon.

My point is, I wonder if Capcom purposefully had NT radically change the Dante design on the chance that the game is an epic failure and this way they can just officially write the game out of existance, the way many fans already do to DMC2 (and probably the reason DMC2 comes *last* in the canonical order.

:runs to get tinfoil hat:

Pretty sure it's just Capcom's general strategy to try and make their games "less Japanese" in hopes of appealling to a broader audience.

Still doesn't fly. That'd be all the more reason to use DmC Dante vs. DMC3 Dante...

Which is odd because the west fucking loves Japanese Dante. Even DMC4 which was a pretty mediocre game and starred a guy that merely looked like Dante sold millions of copies. And no I don't think developers purposely waste shit tons of money to make a bad game. Ninja Theory legitimately thinks they are a high class developer.

Hats off to Ninja Gaiden 3 keeping it 100% Japanese developed.

I have the worst luck ever. I bought Castlevania used from gohastings last night total was 32 something and today its there new for 30... People are saying it comes out to 29 something with everything off. So I paid 3 extra bucks for a used one. I guess it will have to be alright. I hope it don't have numbers written on the disc like the last game I got from gohastings.

I see what you are saying but I think the Marvel comparison is off. They really aren't using the movie versions at all.

The Thor they are using is the recently changed chain-mail costume from the comics.
Wolverine is in his classic yellow and blue instead of the black leather from the movies.
The Captain America movie is going to take place in World War II and the iteration we get in MvC3 is the "present" Captain America (differences in costume and shield)
Deadpool is CLEARLY not the lame-ass movie version that they tried to make for Wolverine Origins.
Iron-Man and Spider-Man were pretty true to the character in both aesthetics and personality in the movies, so they are sort of negligible in that argument.

I do hear what you are saying though, and I think you should probably grab that tinfoil hat :D

No Team Ninja, no ninja gaiden!
Again, a matter of opinion.
No, it's a matter of AC sucking horribly while ACII being amazing.

Also, Zero Mission and Corruption were both awesome, and in turn the Trilogy re-release.

Even if you loved the first AC, I don't think you could sit here and call it a well made game and keep a straight face.

I love a lot of deeply flawed games too (Mass Effect, Zone of the Enders).
I never got into the superhero stuff. Dark Knight was okay.
:whistle2:#

Dark Knight was good, but I liked Batman Begins more since it was more focused on Batman. Dark Knight might as well have been called Joker: The Movie. With guest appearances by Batman and featuring a cameo of Two Face.

Everytime someone quotes the Joker from that movie though I feel rage.

Also Ledger was okay as Joker. I don't care if he's dead, he wasn't that amazing.

It was the damn boat thing that turned me off at the end. I would blown that other ferry up while he was announcing the terms of the situation.

Still opinion. I didn't play through AC twice because it sucked horribly.

Contrastingly, I can say the same thing about Zero Mission, if you like. My opinion is now fact and Zero Mission is a complete waste of anyone's time. They'd be better off playing Fusion, Super Metroid, or Metroid Prime. But then again, that's just my opinion on the matter. ;)
I would have too, people aren't that good in reality. That scene was dumb.
Eh, maybe I'm an idealist, but I like to think that just about everyone has some good in them. Faced with a decision like that, I would like to see what you would ACTUALLY do. I know I would be hesitant as well, but then again I'm not as much of a curmudgeon as some of you guys ;)

Funny, I used to think that too; it changed.

It was repetitive as fuck toward the end, but the concept was solid... I'm not sure I liked some of the changes in the second one, but they're both solid games and fun to play through. :)

AC1 > AC2

More interesting character and setting, less Desmond present day bullshit, and a shitty ending.

A flawed game like someone said, but it's better than the boring Ezio and a hundred fetch quests. I got about three hours in and couldn't take it anymore.

Very cool concept, I'd agree.

But it was repetitive off the bat. Pick pocketing and lounging on benches is not fun. There was no tension in the chase scenes because you knew full well that you could stop in your tracks and kill the entire city. The A.I. was terrible, the combat's single satisfaction was getting cool counter attack animations, and the real world scenarios were poorly paced.

Great parkour and concept though. The animation and graphics of that game really pulled most of its weight.

And I will leave this criticism out as a separate opinion -- jumping into haystacks is one of the stupidest game play elements I've ever witnessed in a game. Haystacks.

I am not suspicious looking at all.

Worked better in AC timeline than AC2 timeline. Will be funny to see it if AC3 is anything more modern. ;)

And all of your points could be applied to the sequel as well, they replaced standardized information gathering submissions with repetitive "story" missions and moved the old missions to side-missions for people who liked them. You could still say all the rest, mostly though. ^__^

People will trample each other for a $5 toaster on BF. Somehow I don't think murdering a boat full of people to save themselves would be an issue.
GT5 is apparently both the worst and best simulator ever made.

Take the graphics out of GT5 and you have a sim nobody wants to play!

I'll give you an opinion, "GT5! ZOMG! LKIE, IM GUNNA CUM!"
I ended up getting Red Redemption Dead Redemption btdubs
As did I, sadly, if it sucks I'm going to go berserk on everybody who told me it was good.

I got it as a gift. Along with SpaceBucks so I can get the Undead Nightmare thing. I've only played a little of it so far, I really like the setting even if I don't really understand how to ride horses well, I also drove my horse off a cliff but he came back as a vengeful ghost. I shot a deer.
