True, ok then, Contra and Bionic Commando mix. Sounds like a good idea to me.

You should be able to plant a seed in the first level, then see it as a full grown tree in the second level. Then we can hold an interview where you bash Peter Molyneaux for being lazy.

Final Fantasy Tictacs Advanced 2 is such a huge time sink. Also, did anyone else see that TMK bought a 360 game? WTF!

Only cause he got it for 10 bucks used.

That eventually lead to me sleeping with Suda 51 and giving Jonathan Blow a good addition to his last name.
(See the Working Designs reference above...)
Actually, many other publishers were allowed to bring 2D games over. A lot of it was at the fault for Working Designs for how they approached SCEA (He's very arrogant) and he went ahead and translated without asking first or getting their approval (which ALL publishers do).
Final Fantasy Tictacs Advanced 2 is such a huge time sink. Also, did anyone else see that TMK bought a 360 game? WTF!
I use to want that game, but there's no way I'd have time to play it, so I decided to skip it.

I also bought ToV today, so that means I just bought two 360 games recently. ;) I don't know what's so weird about me buying 360 games. :p However, the top 10 games on my wishlist right now are ALL PS3 (or PS3 versions).
I think the other game TMK bought was Lost Planet Colonies.
That was the 10 dollar game he bought
I think the other game TMK bought was Lost Planet Extreme Condition Collectors Edition.
Fixed. ;) That's what I bought. That's the ONLY multi-platform game with PS3 I own on 360. When it comes to multi-platform games with PS2, I do own Samurai Warriors 2 and Warriors Orochi on 360.

This news should be somewhat shocking because I imported Battle Fantasia from Asia just to have it on PS3, and I traded in my 360 version of Eternal Sonata (only paid $4 for it overall when figuring in trade-in credit. I only bought it on 360 with a coupon since I thought it was never coming stateside on PS3) to switch it to PS3. However, there's a high possibility I'll buy a multi-platform racer on my 360 next, because I'm flooded with racers on PS3 (Wipeout HD and MotorStorm: PR are coming) and currently own just two on 360 (could be Pure, NFS Undercover, etc.).

Whoa, whoa, wait... you bought the original Lost Planet for the 360 when you could of gotten the PS3 version or Colonies, which is the 360 version with huge additions? I thought this whole time you had gotten Colonies!
Whoa, whoa, wait... you bought the original Lost Planet for the 360 when you could of gotten the PS3 version or Colonies, which is the 360 version with huge additions? I thought this whole time you had gotten Colonies!
I got it for less than $10. I can't figure out the cost because the receipt is really weird. Let's just say that once I traded in the games Sky Gunner PS2 ($0.83), Puyo Pop GBA ($0.83), and Genji PS2 ($1.65) after bonuses, I got the game for $4.88, the Collectors Edition.

The truth is I was always wanting to get Lost Planet, but was unsure based on some impressions (a few kept telling me to never buy it). I mostly liked the demo, but it was still hard to judge. Being on sale at GS, I just had to take the chance. I almost bought Colonies and the PS3 one *before Colonies was announced) a few times, but due to uncertainties, I didn't bite. Since I like it, I may change the version later on one day.

For $5 bucks? Well then ... can't really argue with that.

So once my paycheck clears, I'm downloading Mega Man 9 and Bionic Commando. You guys think those games will treat me right?

Also, would any of you know how much you tip a tattoo artist?

Finished Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Really, really good game. I find it interesting that they still attach Tom Clancy's name to the title of every single one of these games, because he writes stories. These games do not have stories. I'd like to see Rainbow Six Vegas, except I care about shit other than "hey, it's a foreigner - let's shoot him." But in terms of sheer gameplay, Vegas 2 was great shit.

Totally glad they made the Rainbow Six series fun now.

I know for a fact that BCR treats you right. It's amazing. And tattoo artists get tipped? WTF? I don't get that - tipping somebody who does... the job they're being paid for in the first place. Like, here, have some additional money on top of what you're asking for for the work you've performed? I don't think so.

Give him the finger and tell him to keep the change.

Well I know tipping is customary. I wasn't going to tip until one of my friends suggested it. I'd kind of feel like a dick, but again, I don't know... that's why I'm turning to you guys. I thought of posting in the Off Topic section, but I couldn't justify an entire topic for one question.

Yeah MM9 and BCR will take you to dinner, fuck your brains out, then make you a sammich.

If the tattoo artist is that chick from that reality show, then I would suggest taking her to dinner, fuck ing her brains out, then making her a sammich.

I'm pleased to hear both games will be very good to me.

I also found this about tipping tattoo artists:
DO tip your tattoo artist! This should be a no-brainer. Unfortunately, it’s not. If you didn’t know that tipping a tattoo artist is customary, YOU DO NOW! Tattoo artists DO NOT get paid an hourly wage- they earn a percentage of the money you pay for your tattoo and that’s it. They depend, heavily, on tips to support themselves. You wouldn’t NOT tip a waiter unless the service was really bad, would you?
Your tattoo artist is marking you for life, something far more serious than even a fancy meal, so hasn’t he/she earned at least the recognition that a waitperson gets? If you receive exceptional service, show your appreciation by tipping. As a general rule, tipping 10% is a MINIMUM, 15-20% is normal and anything more is considered tipping heavily. If you don’t have the extra money to tip, at least explain that to your artist (they’ll understand and appreciate it)- if you can, bring them a tip the next time you have a few extra dollars. Clients who are known to tip always get a little extra ‘love’ from their artist.

That's a total a big WTF to me. Tipping 10 to 20%? It makes sense, but still man... making 10% of what the job costs + 10% tip is what, 200% profit or something? fucked up.

Are you getting a cool tattoo, or something gayx0rz? Like, if you wanna be cool, go Kazuma Kiryu style and just get a fuckin' dragon tattooed on your back.
Are you getting a cool tattoo, or something gayx0rz? Like, if you wanna be cool, go Kazuma Kiryu style and just get a fuckin' dragon tattooed on your back.
Is he someone from Yakuza 2?

Well cool is subjective first off. So after saying that, you guys might jump right into the gayx0rz train of thought. But I've put a shit ton of thought in my tat. I feel like it's a good piece that represents me. I'm going to get a D20 with the 20 up so I'm a crit hit  then I'm going to move the numbers around so 2,7, and 5 are adjacent, cuz I wrestled 275 in high school. So I'm wrapping up who I am - a gamer and a former athlete, emphasis on the former - and so far the idea has gotten a lot of positive feedback from my friends/people who know me.

What's a D20? I don't listen to rap.

And yes, Kazuma is from Yakuza 2. In regards to his dragon tatoo, cool is objective in that case. There is no being right unless you see the greatness that it is.

I have no idea how to link images, so its a 20 sided die as seen here: http://www.theescapist.com/FAQdice-d20.jpg

Well, alright. I won't make fun of it coz clearly it has some meaning to you, so it's like whatev.

But next time, get a dragon tattooed on your back.

I just don't think that there could be a dragon that is as badass as I used to be. Wait... what?

Homework's done. Now it's time to lull myself to sleep with some video games.

Went to a local game store today and found Sonic and Knuckles in box for $4. I was pretty excited. My friend hates me for not letting him have it

tmobile fa sho

I'm using my iPhone on the tmo network.

I'm going to get either an HTC touch pro or an X1 later this year... but the new android is VERY tempting for the price.
take note people that I'm taking notes so even jokes that you don't want about yourself will have a chance of going live.
Well, in that case, make my character's basic attack a long reach nunchuk spin. After building the combo meter, my special ability will to shoot exploding Maria Ozawa love pillows at the enemies for maaaasssive damage.

I'm going to try as hard as I can to at least have the love pillows part.

nobody told me what to play...

I ended up playing Yakuza 2... I'm saving MM9 for the weekend...

but dang it took me a whole hour to get to the first save point!!

time to sleep!!

"The Dragon of New Hampshire" doesn't sound as good as "The Dragon of Dojima."

Plus then they'd have to fight. And we'd be down 1 GGT'er.
I was referring to ToV. What other game did you buy? Seriously, heart = broken.
This is what I bought:
For $5 bucks? Well then ... can't really argue with that.
Yeah, and I already had store credit to play for it.

Last night I played SOME Disgaea 3. I advanced a little further. Mostly just leveled up characters and such.

I have two 360 retail games...Crackdown and Naruto. Haven't even played Naruto. Crackdown is seriously fun, but Crysis upstaged it, so I don't know if I'll play it again.

I still have to beat BC:R and Castle Crashers. Too bad I won't have my 360 for another 2 and a half weeks.

Btw, anyone know of a way to hook up a PS2 to an lcd monitor? (VGA or dvi.) I imagine it won't be pretty, but all this Yakuza talk makes me wanna try out the first one.

Seriously, after playing through it again, Yakuza 2 has one of the better storylines out of games this year. It's not epic scale like most RPGs but it is pretty fuckin' bad ass.

Sadly I still think that Yakuza 1 and 2 are going to be some of the best games that no one played.

Yeah, it's a series destined to be ignored. But whatever - all the cool kids know it's off tha hook.
