I'm taking a break from Radiant Historia so that I can start up Ys I & II Chronicles.

Been playing a lot more NBA 2K11 lately as I reached the new year with my player now. I also restarted my MJ career so that I could use the new players that the Cavs have, though I still lost both games as I'm figuring out how best to use him.

I did the math and it's impossible to ever get on Cleveland in the career mode. They don't have any picks, so I'd maybe be able to play for them if I played so poorly that I went undrafted. It's still a huge flaw that I don't have the option to just pick which team I'd like to play for. Charlotte and Denver also went without draft picks, so there are three teams (10% of the league) that are off-limits because of that oversight.

How is having a digital copy of a classic game for free NOT awesome. (1) I don't spend any money to get it, since I've already paid for a subscription and (2) I don't have to have a stupid Sega Genesis collection disc bumbling around that I have to put in if I want to play something of it?

Roommate moves out today. Owes me a bunch of money, a bottle of whisky, and a copy of Smash Brothers Brawl that his friend stole.

Don't care about the whisky, confident I can get Brawl Back, and... eh. I got his leatherman, so I consider my anger on the money sated.

Think I'm-a try the Dragon Age 2 demo again. See how maining as a mage feels.

Hope I can get the pot smell off of this knife. Might be fucking ingrained all up in this bitch.

Quite well, actually. I've got a 5870 and haven't had any frame rate issues with the game maxed out. And it looks ridiculously good on PC.

I must be missing something early on in Ys I. I explored the first village, talked to everyone, and pretty much was told nothing about what to do next. So I ran north until I found another city that actually had shops and more people to talk to that told me to talk a fortune teller who had a quest. The problem is that she required me to have a sword, armor, and shield to be able to take her quest, which cost more than thousand bucks that I had to start off. I bought the sword and armor but still wasn't allowed to fight enemies, so I ran around past a lot of enemies to reach a third village to the northeast. Their mayor asked me to go to the tower up north to talk to some thieves where I was killed by enemies that were blocking the path since I couldn't fight back. What did I do wrong, besides the dying part?
 
The only time I have touched a Y's game was on my first cell phone... I kind of want to try the PSP games but I have too many RPGs already.

A buttery smooth 60fps at 1080p with all the settings on high and 4x AA, so basically it's an unreal engine game on the PC.

Finished my casual playthrough of Vanquish....it was...okay. Seemed like a lot of boss recycling for such a short game.
 
Wow, Crytek really fucked up. Apparently, there's no DirectX 11 mode in Crysis 2. They're patching it in. Which means that at launch, it's only going to look much better than the console versions :(

I am legitimately annoyed by it, though.

What proc do you have?

I really need to build a new pc. I have a C2D E6600 and 460GTX and they really aren't cutting it anymore.

460 is good, it's that E6600 that's holding you back. Need a quad. @__@

I'm still rocking a Phenom II 940 at 3.6 GHz and an overclocked 275. Still runs most shit excellently. Imma toss in a 570 sometime this year and be good for a bit, wait and see on new processors and shit.

A QX6850 I think... It's overclocked to something. I dunno what.
 
Apparently Infamous 2 will let people create their own missions and share them online. Now I'm alot more interested in the game... maybe enough to get it day 1.
 
Crysis 2 runs pretty well on my rig @ 1920x1080 and on the 'gamer' setting, whatever the hell that means.
