Lots of Wii games had better controls than in other versions. Like Metal Slug Anthology. Flicking the controller to throw a grenade was sweet. So was the setup where you pretend like the Wiimote is an arcade stick.

Capcom won't retire RE, they aren't stupid. Look at their franchises currently.
Resident Evil: The only series they've milked more than the Street Fighter series. Releases and rereleases galore. That being said, I'm totally ready for RE4/CV HD, gimme REmake in HD next. I'd buy RE2 and 3 in HD also, redo the whole set. Yes I am part of the problem.

SSFIV AE disc release is just a rumor I heard. I'd be surprised if they didn't give people a DLC option. Like 100% surprised. Even Capcom isn't that evil.

There's some logic in there somewhere, but I'm too busy reading about Terry Stops and probable cause and arresting coke-fiends in the doorway of their house that I can't be bothered to reread what I wrote.
