NViDIA GForce GTS 250 1GB (I'm running two.
But I just realized that only one is popping up on my device manager. I need to install some software, it appears. That, or I never set it up correctly to begin with. fuck my ass

It's all mostly budget stuff. Got the whole thing with a monitor for around 950. I built it myself, of course. But there's plenty of room to upgrade, which I'm doing this summer.

Man, that's not even shitty. OC that i7 to 4 GHz, replace those GPUs, and you're good.

Get two 580s.

I was gonna overclock, but my problem is that I HAVE to keep my computer next to the fucking heater at my school. Which I can't turn off. Once spring ACTUALLY comes, though, I will.

And I got the GPUs on the cheap. Like I said, I ended up spending 950 for the whole rig. And I spent 225 for both the GPUs.

How old were you when you watched the movie? I didn't "get" Akira the first time I saw it, largely because I was like 14. I watched that shit again a few years ago, though, and it just clicked with me completely. I have the Blu Ray now and I love it ^_^

Not bad really. It's good shit. GPUs are just the weakest link in that setup, even though they aren't really that weak.

Sucks about the heater. But you should be able to get that bitch to 3.6 GHz no problem, 4 Ghz with some good cooling and tweaks.

20, I just saw it last year. I got it, I just didn't really enjoy it at all. I'm not saying it's bad, I can totally see how it's good and people would like it, I just personally did not enjoy it.

I gave it a good chance, too. I watched it three or four times because I was surprised I didn't like it.

Amazon HAD an actual release date listed though. So, judging by amazon dates, which 98% of the time are accurate if not set to the end of the year for "coming in 201x", it slipped.

The Akira movie is only confusing because it is a condensed story compared to the epic 2800 page graphic novel that Akria was.

As for hollywood trying to make an Akira movie, there is only one way. HBO mini series. Have it be around 8 episodes and ENTIRELY in Japanese, unless other wise (US Soldiers and such).

This story cannot happen in the United States, for one, the point of New Tokyo and the Japanese mindset is that they suffered through not only two nuclear attacks, but a third one in their most populated city Tokyo (caused by their own blindness in search for a stronger power).

New Manhattan, pssh. Unless Zack Synder or Matthew Vaughn, then I'll be annoyed.
 
played a bunch of the new Dissidia last night since I randomly got it from gamefly...

gotta say its more streamlined than the OG but still too much talking honestly. I hate how story mode forces me to play Lighgtningaga (bleh... can't stand her honestly) but was happy to move to Vaan. Mainly been wanting to play this only because Laguna is in it... that's it.

After playing Vaan's story though I feel really bad for never playing FFXII. I'd hop on it righgt now but my PS3 isnt back compat :(

3/31/11 isn't an actual release date, just a placeholder date. The closest they've come to a specific date is Spring 2011 and there's plenty of time for that to happen within the next few months.

Think of it like this: Take FF13's combat, then add a way to control the CPU's movements directly, and an insanely large overworld. That's Final Fantasy XII in a nutshell.
