Goozex CAG Coupon Extended & Support Continued Here!

So a month ago I was matched with ilovemyapplesdu for Lethal Enforcers 1&2 for PSX. They didn't send and I added the game back to my list. Well, I guess they added the game back to their list as well, because I got matched with them for the same game again and once again it looks like they didn't send (it's been 12 days already). Is this user getting points for every time they lie about sending out this game to me? I have a feeling if I add it to my list again after not receiving it this time, I'll be matched with the same user a 3rd time.
Any possibility of an age limit to be changed from 18+ to.. say.. 13+? :D

Like the site BTW!
Sorry, not anytime soon. The reason we have it at 18+ is only b/c we want to avoid any legal issues surrounding the rating systems on games. I know Illinois is especially tough on this.

Btw, did you know the average age of the gamer is 30!

That's cool, I don't feel so bad about playing games at my age anymore.
That's cool, I don't feel so bad about playing games at my age anymore.
Same here! Will we be the generation that games in our retirement?

I notice that you have the Burger King games for the Xbox listed on the site (Sneak King, Big Bumpin' and PocketBike Racer). The site lists an Xbox version of each game for 250 points and an Xbox 360 version for 100 points. However, these are actually the same exact game -- the same disc can be used both in the Xbox and Xbox 360, so it's strange that they are listed as different prices. 100 is the correct price, I think, since these were only $4 to begin with and are still available.

Mr. Goozex, maybe you can help me...as the site's [email protected] hasn't been exactly...helpful... I signed up for the service a couple of weeks ago and am pretty sure I remembered to put in the CAG bonus code; didn't get the bonus, however. I emailed "help" a couple of times and they said it'd be taken care of, but so far, no good...please help! I've already traded 2 games and am next in line for a couple more, so otherwise the service is working out quite well for me. Thanks in advance!

ps - My username on Goozex is same as this one.

Over the weekend, I got matched with another Goozex user who is supposed to send Gears of War to me. They selected the option that they would mail within 3 days, which would be by tomorrow.

Last night, I received a private message telling me that due to a death in the family they wouldn't be able to get the game out until Thursday. I'm usually a trusting guy, but the fact that this trader has 0 feedback and I've been fed this excuse dozens of times on eBay doesn't bode very well...

A week or so ago, I had to request credit for another new 360 game (Call of Duty 3) that never arrived. Although it was a different user, it seems that some people have found that this is a scam they can run for a quick 900 points (or more) in order to get a free game or two before eventually being suspended/banned/etc.

I'm a big fan of Goozex and I've recommended it to my friends; but I feel that perhaps the correct step would be in not crediting points until games are received and strongly suggesting that shippers use delivery confirmation.

Wow. I signed up for this site a long time ago and forgot about until I seen an email notification saying someone decided to send me The Last Blade 2 for DC. And according to the user, Evilmog, it's complete. It's one of the hardest to find DC games for the US I don't have. I'm so stoked, I can't wait to play it.
I don't know if you're here Evilmog, but if you are... thanks!

yeah I saw that someone was trading that. I was hoping you guys in front of me in line wouldn't have the points so I could grab it. Congrats on getting it though.

I seriously love Goozex though. I 've managed to grab a bunch of really rare/hard to find PS1 and Dreamcast games from this site(Intelligent Qube, Samurai Shodown 3, Castlevania Chronicles, Sword of the Berserk, and Mars Matrix to name a few) for MUCH less than they are actually worth.

I love all the cool stuff that pops up when a bunch of new people join the site, I can't believe all the cool stuff people are willing to part with.

I'm truly shocked.

A game that I asked for when the original Goozex promotion (1 free trade + 200 free points), back three months ago, finally showed up.

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon for Xbox. Game was complete and the disc looked good. Ex-rental, so it'll need some Goo Gone on the case.

I have a question, what happens if you're first in line for a game and you don't have enough points? Are you sent to the end of the line, do you stay there but the first person with the points and trade slots gets the game?

I sent out my first game yesterday but I want to put some games I am saving up points for in my Requests, but I'm wondering if I should put them on hold until I have enough points.

Thanks.

I traded a game to ilovemyapplesdu a while back...they were very responsive since they were getting a game from me. Then again, it's much easier to sit back and get something than it is to pack a game and mail it, for some people. :oldman:

Hi nintendospy,

Your place in the queue stays the same whether you have points or not. So for example, if you are first in line and don't have points you will be skipped until you have points and then you will be first again. If you place games on hold your place in the line doesn't change either, but the system will automatically skip you regardless if you have points or not.

Remember you need trade credits too. Need to keep promoting that the best way to get free trade credits is by referring friends.

Hope that helps!

Hey Richtor,
IIRC, wasn't there a thread here many months back about someone with an id/handle with a name very similar to ilovemyapplesdu I don't know if I'm confusing that with someone else, but it rings familiar. I just remember something along those lines as someone who wasn't necessarily the best of traders. My computer and 'net connection are slow at the moment and I'm rushing out the door, so I can't check right now, but if I have time later this afternoon, I'll do a search. Something about that name is bringing to mind some CAG trade thread memories.

Hey Goozex, a seller emailed me saying he accidentally agreed deal to mail me a game. He wants out of the deal. I don't want to make a huge issue of this for him. I'm bummed but oh well. I have the same name on your site and the game is PGR3 for 360.

thanks

Some one did that to you a FEW WEEKS back and you can't report negative feedback yet? You only have to wait 10 days to report negative feedback.

Probably spending the 200 points he got the first time he didn't send the game to me.

I have had my first bad experience with Goozex. I've sent and recieved several games now, the ones I've gotten have been excellent and I take very good care of my games and make sure they are sent out as stated in a reasonable amount of time. To my surprise I get this email today.

Dear Alexander,

The Goozex Team would like to inform you that user has reported negative feedback on the transaction for the game "(The) Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collector's Edition". The user has reported the game as "The game I received is a pirated or illegal copy".

This is the comment left by the user: --- This game was a BLOCK BUSTER RENTAL! ---

Your feedback score has been negatively affected by the outcome of this transaction. Additionally, for reporting purposes, we have made a note of this feedback report, as we monitor all trading activities and feedback reported by users. We invite you to contact the user and solve any issue directly. Goozex reserves the right to suspend your account indefinitely, as indicated in the Terms of Use.

This is an occasion to remind you to make sure you package your discs appropriately and test your games before accepting a transaction to ensure that they are working properly. The policy is designed to make Goozex a fun, safe and fast trading place for video games, and it is every user's responsibility to make this happen. We hope you approve our policy and take any action to adhere to it.

Kind regards,
The Goozex Team

NOTE: Goozex does not support copied discs and does not allow users to trade copied discs on its system. Any copyright infringement may be prosecuted.

Needless to day I have emailed Goozex as this is a legitimate game. The game was originally purchased at half.com from some sort of dealer I'm assuming as they had a lot of feedback. The two disks did have written on them in small sharpie Blockbuster. I've brushed up on my Goozex FAQ as well as pertinent copyright law and found nothing to indicate it is illigal nor against Goozex policy to legitimatly purchase a game that was originally a Blockbuster rental. The game runs fine, everythign was in great condition(including the disks, very little in the way of scratching or anything) the package was sent with the manual, guide, map, and coin that orginally came with it. I'm espcially irked because I went the extra mile and mailed that thing Priority mail in a USPS padded mailer. I'm hoping Goozex can clear this up post haste as now I have an undeserved -190 feedback preventing me from any transactions. I fear ye should be on the look out for cowsrage as it would seem that this user is willing to post negative feedback for receiving a game that is not new or whatever. It seems to me this user wanted disks with out a scribble on the disks, or something, or I don't know. I would contact the user but there is no way to after the feedback is placed near as I can tell. This has put a slight sour taste in my mouth though on the whole Goozex experience. My user name on Goozex is macdude22 same as here, I'm sure if any CAG's got any games I sent out they can attest to the reasonable condition they were in. Again hoping Goozex can rectify this situation quickly and remove the negative feedback on my account as I take much pride in the way I handle business and this puts a black mark on my name.

***EDIT***
Found where to send mail to the user. I've mailed them asking them to work with Goozex so that we can quickly rectify this situation. Unfortunatly this user has no feedback at all, but I hope Goozex can still remove this negative feed back quickly.

Goozex only requires that the game be playable.
A game that is a former renter does not make it a pirated or illegal copy.
It may not be highly desirable for some people, but Goozex is a place for gamers, NOT collectors. Seems like that guy just wants some free points and falsely accuse you of sending a pirated game.

PS:
What is the other user's name on goozex?

Hi Macdude22,

I just got the emails and I'm kind of really surprised someone would leave that bad of a negative feedback. I'm sorry this happened to you.

You can trade games from blockbuster purchases and other rental stores. It is still a legit copy and is treated as such. First thing I'll do is take away the negative feedback score, email the buyer about this and then look into how we can remove the negative feedback stamp.

I'll respond more directly to the email you sent.

*sigh* I like to err on the side of people are inherantly good but, then they throw a monkey like this in to the gears......wait thats wrench, monkey wrench. My bad ;) . The user is cowsrage, has no feedback yet near as I can tell, which worries me. I'm hoping they are just confused about how the Goozex process works, and you actaully aren't getting new games or whatever and that this will all get cleared up. Just a little perturbed because this was in great condition and I went above and beyond spending over 6 bucks to send this priority mail in a nice USPS protective mailer and then I get hit with a -190 feedback. A collector would likely have been pleased with the condition of the overall package, the coin was still in its plastic baggie even. I'm sure Goozex will rectify the situation for me but I could be loosing out on valuable trades right now! I need a

***EDIT***
In impecable Goozex fashion they are already hot on the case of rectifying the situation. Thanks GOOZEX! If your ever in Iowa I'll buy you a  Seriously, roll a Goozex truck through here or something.

I'm confused.
So you feedback went down 190 points due to this negative feedback?
That seems to be a little extreme since your feedback only goes up by 10 after a good trade. It would suck if someone mailed out a pirated gba/ds game without knowing it. I probably won't be able to tell the difference between what is real and what is not 9 out of 10 times (need to get one of those tri-wing screwdrivers in the near future).

PS:
I'm glad Goozex sided with you on this issue.
I'm always amazed at Goozex outstanding customer service.
(and no. this is not an infomercial)
:)

Yes it literally said -190, I started choking on my poweredge it caught me so off gaurd. Anyway the score has been changed to 70, the neg is still there but I'm not worried about it, I'm sure Goozex will investigate and determine that yes, it is indeed a legit copy that has Blockbuster written on a disk in sharpie. Of note I just recieved an email from another user, wolv2377 as follows. I believe it is cowsrage as another user. I've PM'd Goozex to see how they want to proceed. I guess they want to rescind their negative feedback. I'm not sure what to think, it's made clear every step of the way on goozex how the system works and what conditions things need to be in and that feedback is supposed to be permanent so I'm not quite sure what ot make of all this hassle nor the fact the user has multiple accounts none with feedback. Now instead of my original well the user didnt understand the process i'm leaning toward the user is trying to scam the system and Goozex and I called them up on it. This user(presumable cowsrage) is still making some sort of insinuation that having Blockbuster on the disks is not acceptable and I don't know that I much like that tone, again I went out of my way to make sure this was mailed in great shape. Users like this can seriously hurt the system. Many people I know would not be as patient, or forgiving as I in a situation like this and would simply say Goozex sucks.

Dear ,

You have received a private message from user :

subject: Listen
message: I will give you a good feedback, but they had BLOCKBUSTER wrote on them. Tell whoever its ok. I changed my mind to a positive.

On an unrelated note, are there any plans to add Macintosh games to the PC game trading. While I'm sure it wouldn't be as heavly used as the Windows game trading there are a lot of Macintosh games and I primaraly tend to game(if not console) on the Macintosh. You already have the infastructure in place to implement it so I don't think it would be hard other than adding the Macintosh games to the database and whatnot. While not a dealbreaker for me one way or the other, would be a nice addition to a very nice P2P trading system.

***UPDATE***

Goozex has removed the negative from my feedback, thanks for a super mega quick resolution(on my end at least) to this situation GOOOOOOZawesomeX. I'd be interested to find out what Goozex's investigation turns up about this user. No feedback, invalid feedback, masqurading as multiple users. Could be legit user maybe, but the series of events leads me to believe otherwise. This is complete opinionated conjecture but I got a very staunch aura of immaturaty from this person, possibly this person isn't actually 18+ but 12, 13 maybe(against goozex policy I believe). Again complete conjecture but the series of events and the attitude of the individual as well as their creation of multiple accounts(underage, no credit card, can't get trade points), their attitude(this game has a mark on it WHAT, bad feedback, oh i changed my mind after you feed me the facts).

Anyway Goozex dun me good, I'll stick with them for now as it is my belief that the majority of the community is in it for the games not to scam, and I think Goozex over time will be able to hone the system to virtually eliminate some of these problems(granted you will always have that person that wants to scam the system).

I just wanted to give a quick shout out for macdude22's help in catching a malicious user. The user made one critical error that macdude alerted us to and we have removed him from the system.

In addition to giving recognition to macdude22, I want to give thanks in general for everyone's help and understanding as we build a great community of gamers. Trust on your part is huge and I hope you see that we reallly do value that.

Thanks again and great job macdude22!

Two other points I just missed:
1. The negative feedback for illegal games is severe b/c we have a zero tolerance policy on that. All other negative feedbacks are nowhere near as severe.

2. One of the things we talked about recently was adding Mac games...stay tuned...

Hmmmm -- wolv2377 is the user that told me he wouldn't be able to send Gears of War until Thursday because of a death in the family (see post #254 in this thread).

Goozex -- please investigate this user!

Rest assured that Goozex is on the case, and has take steps to limit this individual from harming the community any longer. Goozex stepped it up and rectified the situation+, + means they fixed the problem and went above and beyond. Great work by the Goozex team. Like I told the Gooxex team individuals like this harm the whole community, and not just the Goozex community I'm afraid. I'm glad to see Goozex taking an active stance against this type of abusive behavior, I talk up Goozex every chance I get. I'd hate to see someone I reccomend to the system have a terrible experience, then that tarnishes my word, tarnishes Goozex's reputation, and good wholesome gamers get hurt. If Goozex keeps up the good communication and the stupendous customer service and I am confident that an amazing game trading experience can be created. My biggest regret is that now that amazing game package is out of the Goozex circulation forever. A loss for everyone now and in the future who would wish to play that game.

I just got an email from the Goozex team saying that from 12/16 through 1/6 they're giving free trades

doh!!
One of my trade went thru a few hours before I got that email.
Oh well.....
This is still a cool promotion that I will surely take advantage of in the near future.
Time for me to trade more stuff in for more points so I can get more games.

Hey Rictor,

Just thought you'd like to know, I'll be sending out Intelligent Qube tomorrow afternoon. Being a rare game, wanted you to rest assured that it was coming.

e

If no feedback is left, and the trade is cleared by the system after the requisite number of days...we as the sender still get all the benefits of it being a positively rated trade, correct? The only exception being that it is excluded from the feedback history, right? Thanks.

Correct.

There is also another exception. If the system closes feedback and you still haven't received the game, you can always file a complaint and we'll make add it to our internal log.

i can see another problem with new users coming onto the system

i was matched way back on dec 10 for super monkey ball for the wii and never got it ( Cant report till tomorrow) Dude has no feedback but heres the problem

Person says they will send it but dont

person gets 800 pts

they can then take that 800 pts and pick up 2 400 pt games even though they never sent anything. Yes they might get banned but they just got 2 free games from this site without sending a thing.

since they are credited already with those 800 pts they can request games and get them before we can even report we didnt get the game so they shold of never got the 800 pts in the first place

hopefully it comes today but doubtful since i got my other 2 games that shipped on that day or later (going to leave feedback tomorrow on those 2 , my brother has my ds)

I don't think it's a good idea to place too many restrictions on new members, but it might be worth considering placing a cap on the value of the games that new members can trade.

i was matched way back on dec 10 for super monkey ball for the wii and never got it ( Cant report till tomorrow) Dude has no feedback but heres the problem

Maybe I'm a simple person, but Im not sure who gets "scammed" in this situation.

Sure, the person that gets games and gets banned get something for nothing, but theres not a whole lot of harm to other parties.

The person sending doesnt get scammed because they get the points for the games they ship one way or another.

Goozex technically gets scammed because they have to replace points, but I'd imagine they make a lot more selling trade credits than points.

Everyone else could feel some sort of incidental impact if there were too many points in the market and values were getting skewed, but 1) I dont see enough scamming going on for their to be a tangible impact and 2) I have tons of games Im first in line and are requested but arent getting matched, so Id argue there aren't enough points to go around :D

Well actually the points are just an arbitrary goozex currency - they don't really lose anything by giving points back. And they get the $1 trade credit assuming the promo was not in effect - so they are making what they expected. But the impact could be point inflation if too many points are pumped into the system. But more likely its the customer dissatisfaction that's the real negative. If a customer gets matched for a game that they don't receive, thats a pain in the ass and takes time and effort to clear up on both the customer's part and Goozex's part. Also, I assume that you get put back at the end of the queue for the game that you want.

Yes, the big problem is that you go back to the end of the queue. That's always a pain in the ass. It's not supposed to be like that but the system has never worked right.

I can't seem to find any takers for my PC games because they're too costly. For example, I have FIFA 07 for both PSP and PC and they're 800 point a piece. I'd love the points but the PC version should be cheaper. I also have Winning Eleven 8 at 400 points and FIFA 06 at 600 points which is too much for older games.

I too lost my place in line when a seller didn't respond to selling me Mario Kart DS. I was really psyched to get that game but now there's 11 people in front of me.

Complaints aside, Goozex is tops. I have Gametz and SaySwap accounts but Goozex is the best wart and all.

everquest online adventure for ps2 gets 400 pts. I didnt think these games were even tradeable since once you open it it puts a code into the ps2. I know Eb said these games had a 0 trade back vaule.

Woo went and saw that i was matched for dark allaance 2 for the ps2. then my hopes got smashed when i see that the person who confirmed has no feedback and just joined monday. Hopefully i get it but something makes me think in 2 weeks im going to be doing another NEVER GOT THE GAME THING

Hi Everyone!

We've got great news!

Today we are making Goozex available to all Region 1 countries -- USA, Canada & Bermuda.

Its optional to trade with anybody outside your default nation, but its a great way to expand the library of games made available to you.
