hmmm thanx that's where I was and I couldn't find it. Anyone confirm it's still there?

signed up for the group. and im downloading the boss battles right now, im just glad they are free. but i dont understand how the download is 75mb, i mean arent the songs on the disc?

Wow... Normally I don't mind covers at all, especially the ones they get for the GH games as they tend to be pretty good. But the cover for Black Magic Woman is awful. Sad, I love that song. :(
Joined, but I only play on Medium, and suck :)
Me too. But even I've got more than 300 groupies to the cause. Nothing huge, but every little bit helps ;)

You guys have probably seen this, but if not, it's two guys playing TTFATF co-op and quite entertaining:

Wow, I just beat Medium. I thought my fingers were gonna fall off on the boss battle and then they're like "Here, play this impossible song during the credits!" Thanks! :p

At least the credits weren't like 40 minutes long like the GH2 ones.

Well I'm working my way through Hard and scoring some groupies for the CAGs but my hands are killing me!

I checked out the tour group status today and we are currently ranked #25! Just one spot from making the 1st page. We need to get some more CAGs to sign up and push us into the top 20!

Lets KEEP ROCKIN' !!! :bouncy:

I'd love to sign up but I only have the PS2 version. :whistle2:(

I'm not great but my wife andI just beat co-op on Hard and I'm on the last tier of regular career on Hard.

I can't beat that Muse song on Hard. I get about 80% in just fine but the decending hammer-offs (in groups of 3) kill me every time. Ugh. I need more practice.

Also, I played online for the first time and it was cool but there were extra songs available - Suck My Kiss, Sabotage, etc. Any word on whether these will be available to play alone?
i just beat expert last night. really hate that slayer song.

you unlock those songs when you play co-op. and they become available to play solo under quickplay.

i played online last night for the first time [ battle ]. i chose expert and my oppenent chose medium, than he chose the track, and because he was a dick he chose raining blood or whatever that eff'ing slayer song is. needless to say i lost of course.

sooooo... i learned that if you're playing battle online, either host so you can choose the song, or play on the same difficulty as the other guy.

and thanks glock[ x2 ] for that little chart.

I won my first and only battle online. I was playing medium (which I always play, and I picked first), and the other guy chose hard. I played him on Paint It Black (my best song) and destroyed him by like twice his score. I had like a 200 note streak going at the beginning, and he was struggling badly, especially when I started unloading on him.

Hmmm.... I was playing co-op online last night and nothing unlocked for me - I also noticed I didn't receive any co-op achievements...

Theres a code you can put into the cheats section to unlock all the co-op only songs for quick play. I only have one 360 guitar so I used it.

I played online for the first time tonight and took some motherfucker to school, despite them cheating like a mofo (they missed a long note and somehow went from jack shit to 4x scoring, racking up points the whole time, despite there being no notes to play).

Then I did a best of three face-off against another motherfucker who was also cheating in the same way. I managed to beat him at Kool Thing (ha!), but lost to him by 10K in Bulls on Parade (despite him cheating again). Then, when I got the choice of the third song, I picked what I thought had the least "dead time" in the game (when it seems these cheaters are upping their scores): My Name is Jonas.

So, he disconnects like a fucking twat and it ends up in a fucking tie.

What gives? Is this a problem with all GHIII online play, or just the PS3 version?

I had some guy quit on me last night - he was killing me too. I wasn't sure how he was tripling my score - cheating never occurred to me...

Okay, so I got the Wal mart GH3 special with the repackaged x-plorer as a gift. Is the wireless guitar worth returning the whole thing for? My main concern is that I have already returned an xplorer from gh2 when one of the fret buttons stopped working. So does the GH3 wireless guitar have any flaws to it? Is it an improvement build quality wise over the xplorer? wireless isn't crucial to me, so that's not a factor.

That's just lag. Bad lag. At least that's what I've heard. I've seen that happen to me. They're hitting notes you can't see on your screen.

I guess it's how they keep it up to speed and not lag the song for both people.

I finally played this game with a real friend (my first ever experience playing GH with any real person) and I've got to admit, it's amazing. I love saying "Now!" and then turning up the guitar like a bad ass. Playing online is fun, but there's no equivalent to having a bass player in your room. I guess that's what the groupies say too.

just requested to join - I have a tad over 2k groupies.

re: x-plorer vs wireless lp

I am new to both and have had them both about the same amount of time (since gh III came out) I find myself using the wireless much more - I am getting use to it. Coming from my original black sg from gh I on ps2 they are both a bit different. The wireless is a bit heavier than both of the others. The wireless seems to play very smooth for me as fast as the fret buttons and the strum bar. I have been having intermittent trouble with my upstroke on the x-plorer - maybe it's just a faulty guitar though.

quick question....from other forums talking about the enlightened guitarist achievement i see them using the phrase "20 fcs". What exactly does the FCS stand? I know it means to gold star 20 songs, but what does FCS stand for?

Also, has anyone successfully used the enlightened guitarist glitch successfully?

After eight to ten hours of getting fucked in the ass by Lou, I've decided I will never finish this game on Hard. I've tried hundreds of times, and I just can't do it--and by this point I can play the song with my eyes closed, as long as he's not hitting me with red and blue shells. The really irritating part is that I only failed three times the entire career before this brick fucking wall--twice on Raining Blood and once on One. Boss battles FTL.

Ha! I beat Lou on one of my first few trys. Just let loose with a broken string, amp overload, or whammy during a really intricate part of his song.

Boss battles blow balls. Why the hell would I want to hear twangs and empty space, I'd understand if I had to flat-out play better then the boss, but the Mario Kart aspect is terrible. I hate boss battles more than Weezer and Tenacious D combined.

Outside of that, I'm fairly happy with the game, and I'm happy Easy mode earns extra money this time (Orange button pwns my ass).

I tried again and won.

It took a few tries--I honestly hit him with a Double Note and Lefty Flip during just a clusterfuck of notes, and his needle barely even moved. Then I failed because I almost threw the guitar through my TV.

Defiance, i feel the exact same way that you do about the shitty guitar battles. On hard I failed the Slayer song a few times and the end solo of One one time and that was it. Ive tried Lou like 25 times now and cant make a dent in him. Also, if you do manage to beat him do you still have to complete the song without failing?

It was probably pushing 400 attempts before I finally beat him, and I'm not even exaggerating. You do have to play the final part of the song, but it's very easy in comparison. I was barely hanging on, but managed to finish--I'm not sure if it would even let you fail.

I hope they get rid of the boss battles in the next GH, or at least make completing the SP so reliant on it. I just wanna play the damn songs.

For those of you who can pass Mosh 1 in Raining Blood, how are you doing it? (Note: I'm playing on Hard).

Are you doing pull-offs for the triplets? Or "reverse hammer-ons" (tapping)? Are you even trying to play the orange ones or ignoring those? Any advice would be great.

I can get in the upper 70's% on the slower speed and sometimes on the slow speed, but I am typically around high 40s or 50% on regular speed :(
