Imports Links: Exclusive Titles and Suggestions:
Anybody interested in imports, EzyDVD is doing a 2 for 50 (or 25 a pop) sale for Universal titles.

http://www.ezydvd.com.au/promo.zml?pid=647&ddat=1&dsal=1&dper=1

Import exclusive titles include

Rambo 1-3
The Holiday
Total Recall

And there is also non-combo versions of

Children Of Men
Smokin' Aces
American Werewolf In London
Miami Vice

for you combo haters.

The really nice thing is that the AUD is weaker than the US dollar. So I was able to grab Rambo: First Blood for only 27.23 AUD (US $22.39)
Guyver...I loved all 3 they really great movies. A lot of people here seemed to have been discusted with the 2nd one though...

MrDubbs...they charge when they ship, just beware of using a debit card as they do place a hold on your card.

I agree. I liked all 3 but I have to admit that the second one was pretty weak.

Thanks for the heads up, i'll just order on my credit card

is there standard shipping pretty fast?
is "waiting for payment" a normal status at exploited?
No, dollars to donuts you clicked the check/money order option instead of the credit card one.

I made the same mistake a week ago.

Email Tony and tell him you clicked the wrong option. He just used the last card on file for me but you will probably have to have the order canceled and replace it.

Yeah, his system's weird like that. You can fill in all the CC details but if you don't click the box it defaults to money order/check.
ive never seen any of the oceans... they any good? the set seems like a good deal
I thought they varied from average to yawners. The only thing they really have going for them are the A list cast. If the movies had no-name actors in them, nobody would care about them, because the stories aren't interesting enough.

I would advise you save your money and apply it towards Battlestar Galactica season 1. That's 26 hours of much more interesting and well written story versus 6 hours of dialog masturbation, for just a little more $.

Went ahead and pre-ordered Harry Potter, does anyone know how long the rebate on Knocked Up goes for?

My 360 is in TX still, and I don't want to spend the money right now, but might if the rebate doesn't last

Edit: nvm, im stupid, says it right on the page listing

But you know, some people like masturbation.
But you know, some people like masturbation.
good point.

But I want to know is: how do you masturbate through 6 hours of the oceans movies?

I mean Bradd Pitt is only on screen for so long.

But then theres Matt and George. I am so ordering this set.

I can't wait for BSG, best show on TV. Raiders and vipers in TrueHD=awesome.

I didn't see this posted already, so I thought I'd let everyone know that Amazon is doing another sale toward the A2 lines of Toshiba HD-DVD players.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=310080201&pf_rd_i=B000IJV4BC

Seems to be a similar deal to last time except it's two free movies (plus the five) instead of three. I haven't checked to see if you get any extra savings like last time but I suppose they fixed that.

May want to wait on the HD-DVD player. Next week theyre going to be doing a whole new list of 5 free hd-dvds with player purchase.

LinkinPrime posted a screenshot of the new selections:
Looks like its: Aeon Flux, Babel, Black Rain, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Darkman, Firewall, The Frighteners, Full Metal Jacket, The Hulk, The Italian Job, Pitch Black, Syriana, The Thing, TMNT, U2 Rattle & Humm.
I'd go for Aeon Flux, Frighteners, Hulk, Pitch Black, and TMNT. Lets just hope the amazon sale is still going on then.

Went ahead and ordered Harry Potter HD set. Thanks for the coupons!! Is Salute your Shorts ever going to come on to DVD...Also, does your CAG status ever go up, I've been on here for a while and I am still a CAg IN Training
Also, does your CAG status ever go up, I've been on here for a while and I am still a CAg IN Training
There are several factors when it comes to having your status change. How Long youv'e been here, how many posts, and so forth. It really doesn't mean much in the world of CAG.

You must be new to HDMI.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10240&cs_id=1024004&p_id=2504&seq=1&format=2

these are 10ft for about $5.

I got 3. Work fine. Full 1080/24p PCM/TrueHD. The works.
HDMI is digital to digital. you don't need to pay for the fancy stuff unless you have some distance to cover.

I know about Monoprice but the MS HD A/V cable is to thick to allow the HDMI cable and the A/V cable for the Optical cable to get surround sound...people are either buying less expensive alternative A/V cables which are thinner or the MS HDMI cable.

Ok. I see what you're saying. Some people dont use the HDMI for surround?
But if you have an HDMI receiver Mono is definently the way to go.

When did you order Knocked Up? was the shipping fast?
When did you order Knocked Up? was the shipping fast?
I ordered on Sept. 16 and yes, they do ship fast, 3 times I ordered I've gotten my stuff either Saturday or Monday before release date. That's with the free budget shipping.

As far as yesterday goes...there was no HD DVD's listed. I'll check tomorrow and Friday...though I can only check SoCal...which can vary from other locations.

Maybe it has something to do with location because I ordered my copy of Knocked Up around the same time, got the processing e-mail on the 20th, and it's the 25th and I'm still without a movie. It should be noted that I live in Florida and considering they ship from California, I'm assuming that's the cause of the delay.

At least I have an idea of what they have for sale. Most of the time the HD/BR disc sales are pretty similar here anyway.
Has anybody recieved their Knocked Up from FYE yet? They said they shipped mine out thursday, and no sign of it yet.
Got Mine Yesterday. Shipped out on Thursday i believe, Cant remember the day of confirmation email.
Those looking to pre-order Transformers HD, fye.com finally has the offical pricing and pre-order information up:

http://www.fye.com/Transformers--HD--Coming-Soon_stcVVproductId22507928VVcatId470068VVviewprod.htm

Looks like it's 20.99 with a $7 rebate. If that PayPal deal is still in effect when the movie comes out, that'll make a hell of a deal. Otherwise, use the 10% code which should drop the final price to about $18 bucks with the rebate. Not too shabby.
Wow...I checked this afternoon and the price wasn't up...sweet, I know where I'm getting it from now.

What 10% code?

shit.. wish i had waited another 2 days to include this in my order..

w.e i still think this is one of those movies to pick up in store on release day.

so that 10% is one time use?

and didnt they have a $10 off $50?

Yeah the 10% off is for new customers. You can create another account with a different email and you'll get the discount, I've gotten it 3 times. Then there's the PayPal instant rebate $10 off your order of $30+ but does not apply to preorders.

yea seems like i confused two deals there..

w.e i have it preordered at amazon currently but may pick it up instore at bb on launch day. hopefully they offer something extra (doubtful for hd)

Wow, I didn't know WB had those "Best of HD-DVD" deals. I just ordered #1 and #3, with the 25% coupon and after tax, the total came to around $96. For 8 HD-DVD movies, that's not that bad (heck, sometimes you can't do any better than that with SD DVD movies). I'll probably try to resell Swordfish as well, but it doesn't look like I should have too much of a problem getting rid of it for the price I'm paying for it (about $12).
just to verify again..

all you people that have placed preorders with fye have gotten their movies early?
I don't know about all...I'm in California and I've gotten them 1-3 days early every time.
just to verify again..

I haven't. I live in NJ and it takes them usually a week after release to ship to me. I am using the budget shipping though.

Anyone purchasing FYE - I recommend purchasing via FW to get a little cashback (unless of course, CAG gets commission off a sale =) )
