That's been there for awhile and the $10 voucher doesn't go to people who had preorders from earlier, only people who placed an order during the down period.

I'm hoping that's the reason they haven't shipped my Best Of HD-DVD Vol 3 set yet.

I applied a GC to my order and it took away the promotion - I called and basically wasted 25 minutes explaining everything to the clueless CSR. I then sent a very detailed email, as well as my original order confirmation, and it was made right. I'd say send a detailed email and be persistent.

Sounds good. I was able to press back on my browser and made a copy of my previous confirmation with the promo...sent the email. How long did it take for them to reply through email?

i think 12 hours. but i sent the email through two links - the CS link and through the email link that's sent when you make a phone call (the one that's - thanks for calling, did our CSR answer your question? and i clicked no) coz i was mighty pissed i wasted 25 minutes on the phone.

Easy fix get the Paypal Debit card, I have one and I can pre order with it or just use it like a credit card. But I don't think you would get the 10.00 off.
 
In case someone wants to go the used HD route on FYE.com, the $10 coupon appears to work there (I didn't actually charge the order, but it did subtract it from the total). There are only a few used HDs on the site, but most of them are only 15.99. Add 3 of those and with the coupon, it's about 38 bucks, which is only around 12 bucks a movie. Not bad if you can find what you want.

Off the top of my head, I know Batman Begins, Goodfellas, Last Samurai, Four Brothers, Troy, and Cinderella Man were all 12.99 while Fast and the Furious goes for 9.99. Not the best movie in the world, but ten bucks is incredibly cheap for an HD movie right now. I heard that FYE is particular about their used DVDs but I can't confirm that from personal experience.

Oh, and the 10% off code DOES NOT work on used items just to clarify.

Accepted was a great movie. Were they not re-releasing it without the combo as well? I thought the studios were going to re-release the movies without the combo feature so they could bring the price down on them?

got my knocked up today from FYE! this was my first pre-order from them & i can't believe how fast they got this out! it was shipped from carson, ca.
 
Thanks Sporadic! I wanted the Harry Potter set, but moreso the Ocean's set on HD-DVD! (Gives my HD-DVD collection a chance to even out with the Blu-Ray collection!!! :) )

Both pre-ordered came to $139 with tax. A little more than I should be spending, but these are must haves. ;)
 
Just ordered Knocked Up. Might also be ordering Harry Potter and the Ocean's sets. How long is the discount going on at the WB store?

Edit: Nevermind saw it in the OP that it expires 9/30. Ordered both sets.
