Awesome. This movie was really interesting. And look of the picture in digital cinema's was outstanding. I really can't wait to see how this one looks.

I just ordered The Elephant Man and Serpico from Xploited Cinema.

I wonder how the forced subtitles on Serpico look, somebody told me they are the same as the ones of Terminator 2 disc 1 so they shouldn't be that annoying. I just had to have it so it's worth it.

Damn, even longer wait than I expected. This movie was in my Top 5 of this year and I held off on buying the Theatrical SD in hopes of getting the movie before 08'

Oh well.

I only have 300 and King Kong but is good stuff. Will def buy that new bourne set when it comes out...

Waiting for my 5 free HD DVDs...

Also, how is the last starfighter looking...I loved that movie as a kid

Confirmation of Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer on HD DVD:

I'll wait to get it from XploitedCinema.com though :D.

In other news: Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix will be an HD DVD/Combo...
But in an intersting turn of events, it will not carry the extra price of the combo, it will be priced as a regular HD DVD...could this be the start of a new trend?
Is the latest Potter part of the HP giftset? I've forgotten how many films there has been thus far. Damn combos.
Yeah the latest was year 5. The giftset includes 1-5.
DAMN tempting. I'm going to try to hold out for the eventual US release though.
Well, if you really want to be tempted HMV JP has all 5 of them for only 17,240 yen ($148.71) shipped

stopppp
It looks faked , or is it 2 disc HD DVD ?
It looks fake because its not a scan, its the concept art, and it is going to be a 2 disc HD DVD.

Cool , I'm definitely getting it [I was even if it was 1 disc] .

Anyone pick up the Troy Director's Cut yet? Is it worth it double dipping if I already own the regular HD-DVD version. I know there is 30 minutes of footage, but I can't really see it making much of a difference to the actual movie.
Still no word on Warner shipping out anything this week. I want my fucking TROY!
They are very backed up from the month long shut down.

I'm just hoping that they get in line for the Kubrick movies coming in October. I must have them on the day they release not a week or two after.
Just received Silent Hill and Underworld from Xploited. Now I gotta wait for my 360 to come back before I can watch it.:bomb:
Oh buddy, I've been in that boat before.

I remember when I had something like 10 new movies but no HD-DVD add-on to watch them on.

Really really sucked.

Has anybody seen any reviews or heard anything about the picture quality of Gods and Generals, on either HD DVD or blu ray? I have players for both formats (360 add-on and PS3, hooray Goozex, hehe), so I can get whichever has the best PQ, but I imagine they will likely be identical. I'm mainly interested in it as portions of the movie were shot locally to me, in my hometown (Hagerstown, MD) and surrounding areas (Antietam Battlefield and Sharpsburg area, which is within 15-20 minutes from my current home), so it will be nice to have a movie with local scenery in HD. If anyone else is curious, here is a list of all the filming locations: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0279111/locations

Warner uses the same VC-1 video encode for the both their BDs and HDs. I think the only exceptions are the first few Warner BD titles like Training day.
i noticed exploited shipping charges arent too bad.. something like $3 for first class mail.
Yeah, they are usually really good with that which is why I skip the foreign Amazons most of the time.

Usually 3 for first class, 2 media mail or 5ish for priority.

My Amazon movies haven't even been touched. If the 1-800 number is right, my 360 should be back next week.

I know how you feel. I already have a party planned for Full Metal Jacket!
I know how you feel. I already have a party planned for Full Metal Jacket!
Yeah, I can't wait to marathon through them. I've never seen 2001, Eyes Wide Shut and The Shining so I'm in for a real treat.

Good news about them.

Seems like Eyes Wide Shut is going to have both the rated and unrated version on it, A Clockwork Orange is a confirmed 2 disc with the full-length documentary O Lucky Malcolm in HD and Full Metal Jacket has been "remastered in 1080p high definition!"

question for those of you who order from xploited cinema, do you guys usually use the postal service or fedex for your shipping? I am kind of scared of it getting damaged in the envelope they send it in if i pick postal. What do you guys normally use?

I've used all three USPS options and trust me you don't have to worry about it getting damaged at all.

My media mail and first class package(s) were sent in a bubble-wrap envelope and then they wrapped a priority envelope around my movies.

Priority is usually sent in a flat rate envelope.

Every time they showed up just fine.

And you should watch them in that exact same order. Savor the best for last. The Shining is truly a work of brilliance. One of the rare, if not only, occurrences where the film transcends the book.

I did way back when it first hit on the website...patiently waiting for it now.

Hopefully Blockbuster.com will ship Knocked Up HD soon.....they used to ship new releases on Monday, but lately, not so much. Oh well, they have a horrible stock on HD movies anyways.
Yeah, only the stores are Blu-Ray only.
You can still find some if you know where to look, but yes they discontinued getting new ones.
