HEROES - super thread...

my dvr did that as well...I was thankfully able to rewind the news show back far enough to catch what is happening next week...sorry I don't have a link for the preview...

That entire episode was entirely too awesome. Me and my roomates kept getting pissed off and anxious with every commercial break.

Wow what a great episode. If this was a movie or something we'd be talking about Sylar vs. Peter as one of the all-time great match-ups. They are perfectly complimentary to one another.

so....
peter said he was the bomb. sylar said "we both know what happened" so wtf. hiro is supposed to kill sylar and they prevented him from getting claires power... but in the future he didnt have claires power still until he killed her in the white house. so that means hiro is supposed to kill peter, but he still wont be able to, so nothing has been changed.

one question i have is that syler went through a wall (which means he took DL's power), but if DL & Mikah died in the explosion (which I think was suggested) than Peter must have killed them...maybe I'm just overanalyzing.

Well, in that dream sequence that they kept playing, everyone was there

OH MY GOD

now we know how to protect people from syler and kill him

a piece of paper with a star drawn on it

anyways did anyone catch what the girl is going to die from? i wasnt paying attention

Dammit use a spoiler tag, it's under the advanced menu to the far right with the hand infront of the smiley.

I wonder what Parkman, Ted and Claire's Dad will do when they find out the tracking system is a little girl. I wouldn't be surprised if Ted would be willing to kill her, but I can't see the other two doing it.

Also, it seems like Sylar isn't immune to Hiro's powers, Hiro just couldn't bring himself to kill Sylar and time was starting to get back to normal when Sylar starting moving. I guess future Peter could freeze time to kill future Sylar unless Sylar gets the power from someone else. I like that, since it's pretty lame when a bad guy is immune to something that affects everyone else, like the bosses in Final Fantasy games.

Remember: Sylar is actually undead, so use a phoenix down on him!
Yesterday felt like a filler episode, first time I felt disappointed. The next 2 episodes should be great though.
I agree, that shit was lame.

I'm pretty sure you're right about Sylar. Hiro doesn't have great control over his power yet, and it looked like he just started to lose concentration as he went to kill him.

Same here, especially how
Mohinder was the cure
. That was shit.

After looking at my DVR, it looks like there will be a Heroes marathon a week from Saturday. It looks like it starts at 9 AM and runs through 5 AM. Though the catch is, as of now, that the episodes are out of order. Hopefully its just a mistake and they air them in sequencial order. Its on SciFi.

Not being a loesr pointing out plot hole, but, how would someone who interacts with technology evolve? Like, technology is man-made thing, how would the human body naturally make it self to do that?

Technology is part of the environment. The genes that are best adapted to the environment in which they exist will move on, while those that are not will not be passed on to succeeding generations.

it could be that he just has some sort of electrical power that allows him to communicate with machine, like a guy that can move a mechanical arm with his brain kinda shit.

id think the girl will go with them, i mean i dont think theyd kill her, but rather take her and i think shed probably want to go.

as for hiro killing sylar, all these heros are in the same place, im going out on a limb and saying that peter will get hiro and the shape shifters powers, disguise himself as hiro to kill sylar. because sylar knows that peter is strong, so if he looked like hiro, sylar wouldnt be expecting it

I don't see peter doing that, there's no point in disguising himself really. He already has the ability to stop time, he's been around Hiro before and all he would have to do is stop time and take him down. My guess is that Hiro might end up killing him as he defends himself when Sylar comes at him.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but
if you knew you were going to blow up from absorbing someone's powers, why on earth would you go and look for him???

That right there is what bothered me as well. It would make sense for him to have other people go look for him...after all he did say that he's not sure if its him that blows up or not. I wonder what happened to the nuclear guy in the future?

I have heard rumors about one or two deaths before season's end. I really hope they don't kill off Peter. I mean, I have a Peter/Heroes skin on my MySpace page. He's my favorite character.
I imagine he just thinks Ted will actually be the one who blows up.
im pretty sure he said that in the episode. something along the lines of "maybe its not me"

no way peter dies, hes too big. my guess it will be characters that dont have havent had big roles the whole show like
ted, dl, the haitian or candice

at the same time, i also dont think...
they wont kill sylar, they will likely stop the bomb, but sylar is just too good a counterpart for peter. unless we find out that theres another person like syalr, hell be around season 2

As far as the deaths, possible
I've got a funny feeling Candice was introduced solely to be killed off by the end of the season. She just gives me what I like to call the "Bill Kim-vibe." Kim from Prison Break just seemed solely introduced so there would be a villain to kill by the end of the season that would be satisfying but allow the real arch-rival (Mahone) to live. That's what I think of Candice. She seems to exists solely so they don't have to kill Sylar. And I really hope Sylar makes it through the season. He's the perfect foil for the Heroes. Just like how Mahone was the perfect foil for Michael. I wouldn't be surprised if Ted or DL die by the end of the season either. I imagine Sylar is gonna be involved in both the Candice death and another if it occurs. Solely since we know Sylar had DL and Candice's powers in the future.

No worries about the spoiler tag, just kinda irritating, especially this kinda show when you accidently read a spoiler.

She was dying of the same thing that Mohinders sister was dying of. Something about her cells coming apart I think. Mohinder is brought in to save her as his dad made the cure for his sister a couple months late, so it would've been possible for mohinder to create the cure for the kid. She is special because she is able to find anyone that she thinks about; however she's unable to use the power right now due to her cells not working. It's also said that she's supposed to be the one that's able to "finally stop sylar" but it wasn't said how.
I think Linderman and Candice are going to die.
i dont think linderman is going to die
hes a healer remember, if he can heal other things i would think he could heal himself. probably something claire can do but doesnt know how yet

come to think of it, peter and nathans mom revealed that she was in cahoots with linderman this episode, i wouldnt be suprised if linderman is nathan and peters real father and in turn, claires grandfather.

That's a good theory there.

My biggest complaint of this weeks show, was the fact that I would watch between 6 - 8 min of the show, and then get stuck with a 4 min commercial...to many fucking commercials..

the show was decent...nothing great, but an entertaining hour of tv/commercials

That's the way it's always been. Only solutions are to DVR it or watch it by other means.

I dvr'd it, so I had no problem with fast forwarding thru the commercials...but I thought we used to get 8 - 10 min of show...then 2 - 3 min of commercials...where last night on 2 occasions I roughly timed it...and we got 6 mins of show and then 4 min of commercials

Thoughts from last week's episode:

Do you think Peter can use more than one power at a time? I'm not sure he's able to because he needs to think about how he feels, if he were to switch his thoughts, he'd lose the power he was already doing. I don't think we've seen him use multiple powers at the same time yet?

We know Sylar is able to from the last episode. In his mother's house he was freezing the water and using his telekinesis to move the snow globes around.

This brings me to another question:

Who had the power to freeze water? Where did Sylar get this power from?

According to here: http://heroeswiki.com/Sylar#Acquired_Powers It mentions:

During their conversation, Sylar and Mr. Bennet confirmed that Sylar has multiple abilities (Fallout); however, apart from telekinesis, the Company was unable to identify what these powers were (Godsend). Based on Mohinder's statement to the authorities (Fallout) that at least six people from his father's list have been murdered by Sylar (prior to Zane Taylor), it's likely that Sylar has at least nine acquired powers: the six Mohinder mentions, plus those of Zane, Dale, and Isaac.

Sylar has demonstrated the ability to use at least two of his acquired powers at the same time. (The Hard Part)

Maybe, this was one of those extra powers?

Overall, I was kind of disappointed in this last episode - felt like a filler. Although it's the 'calm' before the storm as they might say. I'm really looking forward to the final episodes!

Love this show!
